Just a word of the wise, when I first started with this clinic a couple years ago everything seemed to be going great. Then as doctors left I ended up with one Dr. Caroline DeLuca. An encounter that I am still trying to straightened out. She intentionally lied on my patient notes per our patient visit. I ended up getting most of it overturned via a letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of General Counsel. This I found in My Health Vet page after our visit. Although, I filed complaints with everyone locally about the out right lies. I had to file a formal complaint with Washington D.C with a formal investigation. Although. Vegas VA was directed to reverse comments of lies I have been fighting with other doctors over these lies. There is absolutely no reason for a doctor to lie about anything as well as a patient. And to have local VA stand by her side till a formal legal investigation does not say we support our vets.

Staff and Security are criminally negligent, discriminatory, racist and exhibit malfeasance in every possible way. Severely service disabled elderly are verbally abused and harrassed by poor trained security and a medical staff that would rather you die or leave than simply be compassionate from the moment you walk in the door for a critical appointment, the attitude of VA Clinic Staff is adversarial. They are criminally ignorant of disability laws of a protected class and the service animal rights a disabled veteran has. They simply don't know and don't care!! Complete waste of our efforts and taxpayers' money. We NEVER got served by a medical professional! But they all still got PAID! Absolutely DISGUSTING Clinic! Asked for a Manager/Director in Charge and was Denied. VA Southeast Clinic Staff refused to assist our requests and demanded we leave. Name request of Clinic Director was Denied. This is just another VA Fraud of Veteran Care. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

This is in regards to the lab only. They are very rude. Regardless of walking or not. Vets should not have to wait two hours to get a simple blood draw, that needs to be done by a specific timeline. After having to also fast. Just because of bringing to staffs attention they purposely made us wait till very last moment. Calling others who came after us. This is very unprofessional and disrespectful to veterans.

A huge shout out to you. My daughter's medications arrived today. It only took six weeks and a dead body to get you all to do your jobs. Little too late now though. And glad you cancelled her "first available"appt Nov 12 due to your "unforseen circusmstances"- no worries she won't be able to make it anyway, she's getting buried tomorrow.

No Emergency Services are offered at any of the VA Clinic's. If you have a medical emergency call 911 or go to the VA Hospital Emergency Room. If you find yourself in a local hospital ask for the VA representative within 24 hours of admittance every hospital has one they can arrange to have you transferred to a VA facility after being stabilized. That being said many Primary Care Providers and Mental Health workers at many of the clinics have set walk in policies check with your provider to see what's available on walk-in basis, many mental health providers have set walking days. Be patient you will have to wait but you will be seen. Stay Sharp ask questions but most of all keep your cool you will get through this.

Is this place not open on Saturdays? The building and googlemaps says Open until 4pm. Why does the VA make it so hard to actually help Veterans. The disability process is way more complicated and lengthy than it should be. I was injured and had surgery in the Air Force. It shouldn’t be this hard to get help smh

3 appointments canceled by the provider (interesting how they say provider and not doctor, let that sink in). I have a service connected disability and I called to get my first appointment In May 2019. Here we are in August 2019 and I STILL have not been seen! This is why we have homeless veterans. This is why our veterans are dont bother wasting time for their "benefits". UNREAL!!!

I have been trying to reach someone at the Henderson office for an appointment for a week now. Keep being put on hold for over half an hour, then someone from the regional office answers and transfers you to another number where you are put on hold again for half an hour. No way to get a person to answer and make an appointment. When I went to the actual office, no one was available to help me and I was told to call and make an appointment. This is no way to treat your Veterans. I'm very disappointed.

Doctors are so full of themselves. I'm beginning to lose my patients with the VA... We were told to only take ibuprofen once a week and to stretch and take hot baths for the chronic back pain. They don't want to give us pain medication, yet they are so negative about marijuana.

Medical staff is great. The folks who run the Lab and Xray have chips on thier shoulders and almost ruin the whole place. Respect in respect out. These characters show no respect for anyone. That might be ok in bootcamp but not for elderly Vets.

Negative Posts appear when negative people do not or can not get there desire or need. We see this from the size of free ice cream to health care. Sadly, those in pain seldom realize the negative vibes they transmit. I have them too yet try very hard not to mention or direct insult. God Bless Our Care Providers and Volunteers β™Ώβš•

The quality of care at the Henderson VA clinic couldn't be any worse. I just moved to the area and saw NP Fanco. I told her I needed CPAP supplies, after getting bad information from her and taking 3 trips to the prosthetic department at the VA hospital on the North side of town I was finally able to get my CPAP supplies after spending over 7 hours and 3 trips in 2 weeks to do so. I also requested a form my landlord needed for my service animal, so she sent me to see Cynthia Garcia a LMSW who filled out the form and signed it. Bare in mind the dog is a registered service animal, the landlord decided he wanted on his own from and Cynthia informed she wouldn't sign the other forms because she said it needed to be signed by a medical person, and then told me NP Fanco wouldn't sign it. This most likely is going to cost me my place of residence. I will be going to request a new medical provider outside of the VA.

I'm new to the VA and was very happy with the services rendered. Everybody was friendly and very efficient. Honestly, I'm just grateful to be given an opportunity to have some of my medical issues addressed. Facility was clean, new and well managed. Easily a five star experience for me.

Absolute scam. Ive been turned away from service 2 times in the last 6 weeks. They dont care about helping veterans, they only care about bilking the american taxpayer. I had to get Medicaid because my care at the VA was so substandard.

I enrolled online but needed more information about my benefits. From the moment I walked in, everyone was so amazing and nice. The enrollment coordinator was so patient even though I had a million questions. I also met with the patient advocate who was amazing too. Everyone was just so helpful, I just can't thank them enough and I am so beyond grateful to have this benefit available to me.

Terrible and rude customer service in their appointment department. Talk to them about an appointment for mental health and I didn't have information about the appointment because I was not home and when I said that the lady immediately hanged up. This happens to much.

. When a massive stroke and Parkinson's disease forced me to retire from my civilian profession, I learned that the years I had spent in the USAF as a young woman earned me VA medical care. Thus, f or the last 21 years the Southern Nevada VA Healthcare System has provided continuous and very expensive medical care. Is the VA system perfect? Of course not. But any system designed and operated by human beings is certain to be flawed to some extent. Therefore, it is essential to establish a successful relationship with the complex, but people-oriented VA. Practicing courtesy, cooperation, and patience would be a reliable step in that direction. It works for me! I have lost count of the examinations, tests, diagnoses, referrals, and treatments I have undergone in recent years that originated in the Southeast Clinic in Henderson. Also uncountable, but not forgetten, are the dozens upon dozens of healthcare workers who have participated kindly, carefully, thoughtfully, intelligently, successfully, and professionally in my care.

They say they are open until 5:15pm. Well, that’s only for appointments. They DO NOT say that the lab closes at 3pm. So, I bust my Fanny to get there before 5:15. I ask, can I get a blood draw? β€œSir,” a young woman tells me…”the lab closes at 3pm.” Like…only idiots don’t know that. I was in the Navy. Sailors do not like to be addressed as β€œSir.” That’s for officers only. So…who’s the idiot now? And not only β€œSir,” but in a condescending and patronizing manner that should be never be used. Their information MUST be changed to reflect the 3pm lab closing time. I wasted my time and was treated very rudely.

I've been going to various VA medical centers since coming to Las Vegas in 1996. 99 percent of my care has been EXCELLENT. Yes, there are occasional morons that you have to deal with, but thankfully not very many. Now that the VA HOSPITAL is open , these other VA clinics are just for specialty appointments - NO EMERGENCY SERVICES. Remember folks you're dealing with an organization that is giving care to thousands of people, many at no charge to them. You want "free" medical care, then be prepared to WAIT. It's that simple.

You know what the whole phrase is? "Community Care.. Cuz the VA don't." We just call it Community Care for short. I'll never understand why we have to spoon feed doctors or professionals who obviously acquired degrees for our basic needs like paperwork.. It's sad, pathetic really, that a veteran gets better treatment from a provider not affiliated with Veterans Affairs. It's understandable. "I feel" about 92% of these apathetic VA employees are there for easy money. Ya-kno, homeless mentally: why work if I can do nothing & still get paid by the government... Yet to the few that actually care, that star's for u. I wouldn't wanna waste it. Thank u.

One thing about this clinic. For veterans they have some of the best people around. Especially Dr. Bill Myers. I've been with him for about 7 or 8 years now. And he takes very good care of me. And I love all the staff down there. They all do their job above and beyond the call.

Since Dr. Stephen Billmeyer joined the Veterans facility in Henderson on South Boulder Highway, I have received excellent care. He is a great Doctor and was patient enough to answer all my questions and was patient enough that when I did not understand something, he would stop and explain what it was I did not understand. His through consultation led me to get diagnosed with a problem I had been living with for many years, without knowing the cause of my problem, which was life threatening. He ordered some studies that got the results I needed to live a healthier life. I am thankful to Dr. Billmeyer for his through and professionalism and live a better life because of him. I have come to the conclusion that the VA had been overwhelmed in the past but they are improving and I am grateful for the care the VA provides. I am always greeted with friendly faces and comments and I am always thanked for my service. When I go to this clinic, I feel confident that my issues will be addressed by a friendly, caring staff and even when they are extremely busy, the wait times are reasonable and I'm treated with respect. Thank you Dr. Billmeyer and staff.
