So, 12 years since last here. Google shows nothing that I saw about the old place burning down and was not really welcoming. Please update that the place is not open. Traveled pretty far to not eat. Also, needed to use the restroom and was sent across the street. Not at all the come on in and see the humming birds as it once was. If the boss is that worried about not having people on the property right now. Then let people know here since it is available. Very disappointing.

Was 30 degrees cooler than Vegas. It was so wonderful, sitting on a private balcony, reading a book in the cool mountain air. Room was clean and comfortable. It is evident from all the signs that some guests are terrible. We encountered none of them.

Absolutely worth every penny. Thomas the GM is Absolutely amazing. Serves a free breakfast in the morning that all other hotels should take a lesson from. Very friendly, made sure we had everything we needed and then some. The views are to die for. Myself, my wife our two teenage daughters and our young son all stayed super comfortable in cabin 11 where we all cozyed up next to the fireplace and watched DVDs that you can rent in the office. Fridge and microwave in room. Huge balcony, and the best part..... they are dog friendly. Took both our large German Shepard and big pit bull and where made to feel so welcome. All the staff including the cleaning crew where extremely respectful and courteous. Beautiful walking trails just minutes and walking distance from the cabins. Would of given 10 stars if I where able. Best vacation my family has had in years. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a peaceful, remote getaway from the city, then look no further! These cabins are up in scenic Mt. Charleston, and they are so cozy! The prices are affordable, and they have pets friendly cabins, which is a huge must for this crazy cat lady. The views are incredible, and there are decent amenities in the room. There's a hot tub with jets, a good-sized mini fridge, a microwave, and a TV with cable. Getting here isn't a long trek either. It took about 45 minutes to get there from my side of the city. It's perfect to get out of the city and the desert 🏜

If you want to escape from the loudness that is Las Vegas come stay here! Here in the most cozy of cabins around you will find peace and quite overlooking the stunning views of Mt. Charleston. Trust me people, I had no idea this stunning scenery existed near Vegas. The cabins, location and Thomas can't be beat! At least come say hello to him and take a hike while you're at it!

Great location if cathedral rock hike is on your list. The cabins are a little old and smelled kinda funky, at least that’s what we noticed. It was cleaned and has the essentials. We wanted to BBQ but theirs closes at 5 which was a bit early but I understand.

No restaurant nearby, but they have mini fridges and microwaves. Bring your own food and drinks, or you will have to drive back down the mountain to get some. The shower faucet leaked constantly, the doors could use a better seal, and the stairs are in really rough shape. Despite all of the above, the solitude, the views, and the sheer relaxation of a weekend here makes it worth every penny and then some. Already looking at dates for a return trip.

Visiting during the summer is a must! Riding the ski lift is so beautiful. It's just a fun little adventure that gets you out of the Vegas heat for a little while. Plus, seeing the wild horses up there is a bonus!

The cabins are great! So sad that the lodge burned, but the cabins are still fun, beautiful, and cozy. I’ve gone 4 times over the last 6 years or so. Staff is always friendly, and the cabins are clean and comfortable and accommodating! A beautiful stay away from the city. Reminder! Bring some cash to tip the maids, I always forget and I don’t believe there’s any ATMs!

We had no idea the wilderness areas on Mt. Charleston would/might be closed until a few days before the trip, which really threw a wrench into our plans. We were looking forward to an outdoorsy type weekend with the kids, and with no hiking trails accessible I was frustrated off the bat and unsure of how to keep the kids entertained. BUT! Management and staff have worked really hard to make the most of the situation - they have a propane BBQ grill set up with all the tools available, cornhole and pickle ball set ups, and it was actually kind of nice to have so few people around. We were able to really enjoy the cabin - they are definitely older but clean and cozy. The rooms have a mini fridge and microwave, and I took a crock pot with us to help with meals because there are no restaurants. The outdoor areas are nice with amazing views. They are serving a continental breakfast with simple muffins and oatmeal and fruit (I assume they've been doing this since the lodge burned down). I was really pleasantly surprised on a trip I almost cancelled last minute. So thankful I didn't! We will definitely be back! I hope they're able to get some movement on lodge reconstruction soon!!!

I was here a few months ago and found the guy at the front desk very rude when I was inquiring about prices. So rude that I didn't stay there. Now look at ya. Nobody is gonna be staying there for a while. The resort is nicer and the people at the front were much more pleasant. They're rich so they'll be fine, but you'll never get my money.

I would say the cabin I stayed in which was number 22. Had quite a few issues. There were flying insects which I had to keep swatting out of the air with whatever I had handy. Like a towel or a plastic sheet of paper etc. The air conditioner that they have is one of those that rolls around and is vented out a window. However, it was no match for an 82Β° day in Mount Charleston. Around 6:00 p.m. the temperature in my room was 81. It did not cool off until after the sun went down. They have a ceiling fan but it is on the lowest setting and really does not help stir air around. The bugs are undoubtedly coming in through poorly fitted screens and doorways. I have lived in Las Vegas for 28 years and this is my first time ever coming up to the cabins at Mount Charleston. I came up to escape the heat but found other issues like the bugs. There is a jacuzzi tub in the room. It is old and discolored and does not look like he would really want to jump in and take a bath.

Was fun. Not the snazziest cabins. Hot water makes crazy noises in the cabin. A little rough and dated. Too bad about what happened to their restaurant though. Beautiful views! Close to hiking trails. No food there though.

Amazing experience. We go almost every year to get away from the city. Cabins are cozy and lots of trails across the street for exploring. Unfortunately the restaurant burnt down and has not yet been rebuilt but don't let that take away from the cabin experience

Views were beautiful and the cabian was nice and cozy. Loved the fire place in the middle. The cabin are a bit older and so is the furniture. Very easy to tell the the couches were worn down and sunk in. And the screens on the windows were a bit busted. But it was a great place to go and get away from the city with great views. The restaurant is not open due to a fire a year ago but unlike the website they do have wifi.

Amazing establishment!! I have stayed in these cabins a couple of times and plan to return! Definitely miss the lodge restaurant of course! This will always be a treasured area to the Vegas community. And if you are looking to leave a bad review over the Lodge restaurant burning down and that event not being listed here, use google or look at the recent reviews before saying anything bad about a place that has brought many people peace and joy ❀️ looking forward to many more beautiful stays!

It is beautiful there. It is not the same with the restaurant being gone. I think it has been two years since it was destroyed and I wish they would build another one.

What happen to the old restaurant at Mt. Charleston? Either way, love the views and atmosphere. However, the food was just okay. Small menu for a big price.

Had a great time here, too bad their restaurant burnt down. Bring some snacks and drinks, you'll enjoy the views, the peace and quiet and the person you're sharing that moment with. πŸ€™

I've had so much fun up there, for many years great weekend dates, lunches, dinners or just have a beer before going skiing, I've hiked the mountian and spent many peaceful hours in those hills.

What a beautiful place to get away from the valley. Perfect place to spend quality time w loved ones. Cabins were clean and we enjoyed it. Its just so unique. Staff was super nice and friendly. My lil dog loved it up there, she was so excited to be out of the heat and in to the smells of the trees. We saw a wild horse family too.

This is a nice place, I really love the way that they have a jacuzzi in the cabin, it's like a very nice motel and hotel and I first arrived here since July 19th, and I left since July 20th, and it was a best place I've ever been

If a little serenity amidst a hectic simmering summer is what you are seeking the Cabins at Mt Charleston are the perfect respite. The first thing I noticed driving up the mountain besides the gorgeous scenery was the difference between 117 degrees in Las Vegas and a refreshing 80 degrees at the cabin. Each cabin has a back porch balcony with chairs and a table so sitting outside and listening to the stillness amidst the pines was a gift to my sweaty spirit. Inside the cabin is a fireplace, tv and dvd player, small refrigerator, huge tub and shower, microwave and mini coffee pot. The office rents dvds for a dollar-as diverse as Shawshank Redemption, Goonies and The Notebook. Lots of choices! There is no restaurant on the premises so you need to drive 4 miles down the road to the the lodge or bring food you can make using the microwave or your own creativity. Staff are so friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our dvd player and they took care of it immediately. Check in is easy and stress free. You can make reservations online. The night was cool-in the 60’s. The price per night is incredibly reasonable there are no hidden fees, no parking fees, no technology fees, just a straight up room fee plus tax. Way cheaper than room rates in Vegas and a nice break from the chaos. If you’re a local-here is your nirvana from the sweltering temps and if your visiting try a change of pace during your stay. Book a room for a night -give yourself a chance to regain your sanity.

Amazing views! Very happy with the cabin. Number 17. Close to the trails for hiking. We enjoyed the weekend get way with family. Refrigerator in room was prefect. Best of all the gas fire place for warmth on the cold nights.

Great location to unwind from the city life. Close to Cathedral Rock hiking trails and picnic areas. Just keep in mind when you are picking the lower cabins. Parts of the stairs are uneven and what not.

Beautiful. The restaurant doesn’t exist anymore, sad because it’s was awesome. But have snow and it is incredible in a desert place. Funny.

Beautiful view. Peaceful atmosphere. It was an amazing experience. The cabin was spacious and very clean. The price was reasonable. It is a little less expensive Monday-Thursday. I will definitely visit again.

Lodge burned down. Replace is loosely scheduled. Probably not until 2024 at the earliest. Rooms however really nice but rustic. Very quiet. Good views. You want to bring all your food and drink unless you plan on driving a mile or two to the nearest restaurant.

Perfect stay, as usual. Will be even better when they rebuild the lodge/restaurant. We brought frozen dinners as we rented the cabin with a kitchen and full size refrigerator. Otherwise we would have had to eat at the hotel down the road . Hotel was closed due to a power outage on our anniversary and we almost had to evacuate at night due to the outage, but the power came back on as we were starting to pack. Got to stay five nights in the cabin. A little chilly, even with the fireplace, but that can be cozy when you're with a loved one........
