Perhaps the best doughnut 🍩 shop in the Capital District. A wide variety of donuts 🍩 including Vegan options. This new location is also extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. The original location on North Pearl Street closed in February 2023 due to lack of sales as State workers continue to telecommute and never returned to Downtown Albany in the same numbers as those prior to COVID. Doughnuts range from $2 to $5 a piece. Great treats but tons of calories and sugar!

Excellent doughnuts and okay coffee. It's really tasty if you like really sweet food. Variety of vegan and gluten free options as well.

Gorgeous shop with incredible flavors! About half of their donuts have an apple cider base and the other half have the classic vanilla base. Sugar daddy is the classic cider donut. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try their incredible looking coffees.

New to Albany and wanted to try Cider Belly after visiting my daughter in Tennessee and having some amazing donuts at specialty shops there. Although they were not at the five star level of the donuts that I had in Tennessee, they are the best donuts that I have had in New York State. The shop was very busy, but flowed like a well oiled machine. The staff were extremely friendly and charming (especially for an early Sunday morning)! I tried 6 flavors and the lemon and carrot cake really stood out! Important to note: I tried these at another business location and they were extremely stale. I suggest purchasing the donuts directly from Cider Belly to get the full fresh experience. They are worth a visit!

Good, not excellent. Pros: A lot of variety at the Fuller Road location, the price is fairly reasonable for higher quality donuts, the Apple cider donut 'belly' base makes these standout vs other cake donut shops, different coffee drinks are offered too, the interior is clean, and parking is good. Cons: None of the 8 different kinds of donuts we tried were particularly warm(I understand it's hard to decorate warm donuts without the toppings melting) but keeping them slightly above room temperature can really add to the freshness quality. Some of the donuts, while not stale, tasted as though they'd been sitting out for a couple days. The coffee drinks weren't anything to write home about- they seemed sweet(which I like) but not particularly flavorful. Overall, I liked Cider Belly, although I don't think they lived up to the hype and expectations I had. I think they're good value for well crafted treats, but not all of their options were home runs. The Cookies N Cream was fairly disappointing, but the seasonal Peach Cobbler was unique and done very well. The staff was very friendly and patient. If I were to give a recommendation, I think I'd bump this up to 5 stars if Cider Belly were able to offer some donuts just a bit more warm and/or fresh. Because it's a bakery, I understand you're trying to estimate and bake an amount that you predict will be sold within a certain time frame, but it could be fortuitous to actually bake fewer donuts but more often to keep that fresh quality. You'll certainly risk selling out, but that sense of scarcity can also lead to greater demand. If you're unable to do that, then I might just recommend storing the donuts a bit differently or potentially keeping them a bit warmer while on display.

This was my first time visiting the new cider belly location and I wasnt disappointed. They had several varieties of gluten free donuts available as well as their classics and of course the day olds and other "flops" are offered at a deep discount. I do wish there was a cheaper way to order large quanitites of the fancier donuts, my wallet forced me to get 2 dozen of the plain and sugar varieties for my coworkers rather than the ones with glazes and toppings. I wish that they offered larger boxes of flops here like they used to in the Albany location (on the day I came in there were dozens of bagged flops that could easily have been boxed together. Still, thats not enough of a complaint to keep me from giving the donuts 5*s. The donuts themselves are amazing and keep me coming back for more!

Freshly made and super tasty donuts. Why settle for Dunkin’s mediocre donuts baked off-site last night when you can treat yourself to these. The seating area is small and not particularly inviting, so grab and go is your best bet.

We had Cider Belly cater dessert for our wedding. Communication, price, flavors, reliability - everything was excellent. Would highly recommend them. They were able to drop off the donuts at the venue without us needing to directly meet with them. They even made sure that me and my wife got a personal box of donuts. Everything was delicious.

Good new location. I tend to prefer the regular sugar donuts here, but the creative ones look very cool! I find them too sweet though. The last time I was here, they had a larger variety of drinks than at the Pearl Street location. I tried a few and they were very tasty!

Large selection of donut options that were pretty decent. Friendly staff. Not a place for coffee lovers and no public restroom which wasn’t great for our road trip purposes.

I'm gradually getting used to the concept of donut houses that have a base donut that gets customized via the toppings/icings that are on the donut. The service was great here, really friendly, knowledgeable people who were happy to answer questions, and get us what we wanted given that the selection possibilities were so huge. I got one of the basic Original Cin donuts along with one of the apple variations, and they were both quite tasty, tender in texture, and the Original Cin was definitely not too sweet. The iced one was really sweet, but did taste somewhat of apple. Plenty of cinnamon in the Original Cin and all the rich flavor of a good cider donut. Highly recommend that one. The coffee was actually quite good as well, not kept on heat forever, and easy to just add cream without any sugar, and it went beautifully with the donuts.

Great location friendly staff. Gluten and vegan options are handled separately with great care. Always amazing quality. Make sure to get there early if you want a good selection.

The best doughnuts I ever had! Eating just the original one is so delicious, but there are so many interessting and inspiring flavors.

Very welcoming staff and yummy donuts. So many different flavors; vegan and gluten-free options available. Off street parking a plus.

We had Cider Belly provide donuts for our wedding reception and farewell brunch a couple weeks ago and they were absolutely amazing. Not only did they look gorgeous but they were delicious! Weeks have gone by and our guests are still raving about how good they were and wished they had taken more home with them! Delivery was prompt and they even put all of my thank you tags on the boxes for me before arrival. Would definitely recommend for any event!
