I
wanted
to
surprise
my
wife
with
a
trip
to
The
Bears.
I
made
my
reservation
a
month
ago
knowing
how
popular
they
are.
It
was
a
40
minute
drive
that
was
rewarded
with
one
of
the
best
meals
I’ve
had
in
a
very
long
time.
Both
of
us
decided
to
order
off
the
menu
instead
of
requesting
the
chateaubriand
that
they
are
noted
for.
The
bread
they
brought
out
was
warm
and
enjoyable
as
we
waited
for
our
appetizer,
the
vegetable
beef
soup.
The
soup
was
amazing.
They
use
some
prime
cuts
of
beef
in
the
soup
and
the
broth
is
to
die
for.
It
was
so
good
that
I
got
2
orders
of
it
to
go.
Next
was
the
salad.
My
wife
had
hers
with
Blue
Cheese,
I
chose
the
Parmesan
Peppercorn.
The
dressing
tasted
great.
Next
came
the
main
course.
Be
prepared
to
arrive
hungry
because
the
portions
are
extremely
generous.
My
wife
got
the
“Mama
Bear”
size
filet
mignon
and
I
ordered
the
Delmonico
steak.
The
sides
were
roasted
red
potatoes
and
glazed
baby
carrots.
Kudos
to
the
chef!!!
Everything
was
cooked
to
perfection,
and
the
steaks
were
delicious.
As
I
said,
the
portions
are
very
generous
and
both
of
us
brought
home
some
to
enjoy
tomorrow.
My
wife
is
a
huge
chocolate
lover,
so
I
was
surprised
when
she
ordered
the
blueberry/lemon
cake.
It
was
so
good
she
said
she
was
glad
she
ordered
it
instead
of
the
chocolate
cream
pie.
This
is
a
family
run
restaurant,
and
it
shows
in
everything
they
do.
Billy,
the
son
of
the
owner,
was
our
server
and
he
was
another
part
of
what
made
our
visit
so
memorable.
Side
note,
watching
all
the
orders
of
chateaubriand
come
out
of
the
kitchen,
we
will
definitely
order
it
on
our
next
visit.
