I've been a Nick's customer for over a year and have always been delighted with their extensive menu and specials, tasty homemade food and friendly service. My social club often chooses to end up at Nick's after events and when 5-20 people show up (we call ahead of time). Always the ordering is swift, food hot and delicious and service efficient. Portions are large and prices are more than fair. We really do enjoy the comfortable atmosphere too. The friendly owners and staff are always very accommodating.

The atmosphere is modern and welcoming with quaint decor yet small and cozy like a home-town coney. The ownership and staff put a lot of care in every step from a clean table to a well thought dish. Our table ordered the Greek Omelet with fresh Spinach added and a Banana Nut Waffle. The 3 egg Omelet came filled with onions that'd been cooked with intention showing a slight brown to add sweetness that balanced the tart (clearly quality) feta cheese. The Spinach cooked quickly and well retained its color and freshness. Even the potatoes that accompanied it were freshly prepared and arrived as crispy as I'd asked for them. We broke into the Waffle with a satisfying crunch before the fork hit a soft fluffy interior. Bananas and pecans smothered in maple syrup made for the ultimate companion for a Waffle that'd have no issue standing on its own. The service was swift and sweet and I'd be delighted to dine at Nick's again.

One of the best breakfast 🧇 🍳 🥞 places in Clawson! Atmosphere is great 👍 Service is nice and friendly! And food is delicious!! Their salad 🥗 with pink dressing is a must!! Eggs 🥚 Benedict were great with hash-browns! And also, they filmed the Ides of March in here, so if you’d like, you can ask to be seated at the table that was in the film 🎞️

I had the Clawson salad today and it was excellent! The raspberry vinaigrette dressing was also outstanding especially since it was not watered down. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient and we were all happy with the service she provided. (Sorry I don't remember her name). I even need to commend the young man who was refilling coffee cups. He was awesome, too. I believe the owner (possibly) was working hard, too. He brought me my coffee (half regular/half decaf) and was very pleasant. Great restaurant and experience! I will definitely be returning.

While I’m off work due to being laid off, I’ve been enjoying some lovely breakfasts in the area! My goal is to find local breakfast specials that are yummy and the environment is welcoming and cozy for a woman on her own (me). Generally I aim for $10-12 with coffee, which Nick’s was just above this threshold (you can get it for less but I just had to try the biscuits and gravy - which was soooo good)! This is by far my #1 so far! Portions were beyond generous. This ended up being two meals for me! Biscuits were perfection - even warmed up well! The gravy was magic sauce. They seriously have the best sausage links around! Staff was so kind. My coffee cup was always full. I’ll most definitely be back!

I don't have enough GREAT words to describe our visit to Nick's today. My daughter, granddaughter, and I stopped for lunch, and what a wonderful experience it was. The restaurant was busy. However, they had a way of making us feel like we were the only customers there. I'm sure everyone else felt that as well. The wait staff all worked together, making everyone feel welcome and accommodated. Our food was excellent! Very large portions for the price. The soup was homemade, the salads were crisp and fresh, the food came hot, and it was very well prepared, not just thrown on a plate. Everyone went above and beyond. For example, my granddaughter just turned one this week. We ordered her a small fruit plate. Instead of sending out a plate of sliced fruit, some kind soul took the time to dice her fruit in little bite-sized pieces perfect for a 1 year old. (see picture) It was this level of detail and attentiveness that makes me want to give Nick's a 20 star review. The restaurant was very clean the food very good but it is Nick and his staff that make this place rise above others. We did not feel like customers at Nick's Country Oven. We felt like guests at Nick's home, and like we had known him and his staff for years. I highly HIGHLY recommend Nick's.

Our family enjoyed a lovely breakfast here. The staff was attentive when we walked in, and the wait was worth it. The portions were good. The wait staff was friendly and courteous. My only complaint was we were sat by the restrooms and at points it was not a so pleasant smell. Definitely not ideal while eating.

Always great breakfasts here. Blueberry pancakes are our go to but the savory selections are excellent too. Always seem to be able to grab a seat as tables turn quickly. Never have a cold cup of coffee as the staff are on top of service.

Been here a handful of times for breakfast. Solid diner breakfast. Sausage, bacon, and ham are all top notch. Even their in house hash is solid, best home made version though I still have a soft spot for the canned stuff.
