It was quiet in the middle of the day. We found a chance to take good pictures. You can have a rest under the walls. The Puerta de Bisagra or Puerta Nueva de Bisagra is a monumental entrance open in the walls of the northern façade of the city of Toledo.

The Puerta de Bisagra is a city gate of Toledo, Spain. The structure was constructed in the 10th century, in the time of the Moorish Taifa of Toledo in Islamic Al-Andalus. It is also called 'Bisagra Antigua' to distinguish it from the Puerta de Bisagra Nueva which was built in 1559.

Toledo ... a medieval town very well preserved. The city of Toledo well known for its steel. Knight armor and cutlery are icons of the city. At Easter, the city dresses up for the celebrations. It looks wonderful ...

Beautiful place to visit. Make sure you plan your visit by knowing where to park and locating the escalators to go up and down to the top of Toledo. The walk can be challenging.

Clearly ancient gate, fronting a nice walking park with good views of the surrounding countryside. Wooden doors and iron hinges and handles to examine. Worth a stop if you’re walking around Toledo! Has a few snack shops and restaurants nearby.

Beautiful piece of "How it was".. I imagined the Crusades at each turn. Alot of steep up and down hill walking but there is an esculator available.

Beautiful place with a lot of history. The gate is big and nice, it was built in the 10th century. The neighborhood around is amazing and historical.

Recommend doing the day tourist walk in reverse. All the tourists came off the train from Madrid and headed to the cathedral. We went up to Bissgra which made for a grand and uncrowded entry to Toledo.

Oh my gosh I am in love with Toledo. What a stunning place. We were lucky enough to stay in a house right by the gate and it was a stunning setting. Just poking about the streets around here provides some wonderful picture ops. But seriously, just go to Toledo, beautiful place

You can not see the greatness of Toledo if you are not discovering it by foot.
