Good for budget hotel seeker. Please note that this hotel is not wheelchair accessible. You need to climb 8 steps to get to the elevator. It's also very challenging for people with limited mobility. The coffee room is nice, but you will need to go through about 25 steps to get in or out. Our room was oddly shaped but the beds are comfortable. Location is very good with less noise than other neighboring locations.

We had a great stay here. Only for a night, unfortunately, but would come back. The location is great, it was quiet at night, air conditioning working perfectly (something very appreciated with temperatures near 40°), and the room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Staff were nice and helpful, check in and check out easy and fast. The coffee room was clean and comfortable, and they left us a small snack bag for breakfast which was a nice surprise. I will add that I had had an issue booking online (website crashed), rang them and they sorted me out in two minutes.

(Translated by Google) Small, central, simple but very nice hotel! The staff is very friendly and they helped us with everything we needed. The room very nice and clean. Breakfast is not included but there is a 24 hr coffee corner with hot drinks, juices, fruit and cookies. Not only that but they also leave you hanging at the door of the room every morning a bag with biscuits and muffins - a detail.

The room didn't match the pictures AT ALL. It was absolutely disappointing, of course since the room did not match the description the value that I pay for the room is just doesn't make sense. It's way too expensive for the low quality. The rooms were poorly cleaned. There was no A/C option if you go on certain seasons, I went on december and my room was extremely hot and we could not even open the windows because they don't let you (they are purposely closed). It's very noisy. This is the second time I have this experience with the B&B brand (last time was in Lisbon) and now here en Madrid. Will not stay with them anymore.

We had a great stay at this B&B Hotel. the staff is friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It is very well located, you can see The Plaza Mayor, one of Madrid's biggest attractions, from a few steps from the hotel. There are many good bars and restaurants very close by . We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to see in this beautiful. Definitely will go back!

We stayed at this B&B in late January of this year. The attendant, Marcos (I believe was his name) was awesome and very helpful! My Spanish is not so good and he helped us practice. He suggested some places to go see Flamenco, and they did not disappoint. He greeted us each and every time we walked past him, going and coming. We were there when Kobe Bryant passed away and Marcos was very upset, as he explained that he was a huge fan. He even wore Kobe's jersey under his shirt. During this, he was still very professional and helpful. He didn't even laugh at my poor Spanish. The rooms were a little smaller than we are used to, but it was well worth it. The view was phenomenal and the location was just right. Walking distance to everywhere! The small number of rooms were perfect because we did not hear people coming and going all night. Room service was excellent. The price was very nice for the location. We plan on visiting Madrid again and will definitely be staying here again. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in a location that is near everywhere. The complimentary coffee downstairs was a big bonus to us after a long night of partying. There are video shots of our trip and the hotel on YouTube (2weekendtravelers) if anyone wants to take a look at it.

A horrible place to stay. Don't bother trying to sleep here, the smoke alarm will go off in the middle of the night, or you will be too hot without any air conditioning, or the loud noises from traffic and guests will wake you up constantly. There will be no staff on site at night, no breakfast in the morning, and it's "eco-friendly" so they are cheap about everything. I wasn't even sure our bed sheets were cleaned properly. The first room had a broken shower and bathroom fan. In the second room the TV turned on by itself like someone was watching us. Really creepy, I looked for cameras but couldn't find any. Again there is no air conditioning! It's Spring and hot outside. Eco friendly hotels are not what you want when you are trying to enjoy your vacation. We left to find a new hotel for our third night.

Worst service ever<br/>My room did not have light and the receptionist gave me a lamp as a solution <br/>This is by far the worst hotels i have ever visited Also you have to ask permission for using your appliances such as dryer and laptop so i advice you that you should prefer the hostel right infront of it.

We really enjoyed our stay. Location was fantastic! The two staff members we interacted with were fantastic and helped us arrange a taxi, make dinner reservations and answered other questions for us. The delivery of breakfast goodies to our door each morning was unexpected and a great way to start the day. The only negatives were a very small bed and the pillows did not provide adequate support.

Nice hotel close to the center of Madrid, surprise that was quite to have a nap in the afternoon. The room are big enough to a not too long stay. The staff were so friendly make me feel like I was part of the building. Definitely will back in my next Madrid's visit.

Nice service from the employees. Little issues in the beginning immediately corrected. Wonderful breakfast giveaway in the morning (we always gave to homeless people). Location is good in the center, only walls and doors are not so strong and you can hear easily noise. Shower door doesn’t close well and water is always running out but can be cleaned with one of the towels and reception is replacing it if asked.

2 stars for location and rooms are okay size wise. Customer service, wireless is horrible in at least my room 308. I asked the front desk but couldn't solve the issue. Beds are definitely not comfortable at all. There are other hotels available for same price with better accommodations. To get to lift you have to go through stairs, my wife had knee surgery and it was very hard and painful. I had to cancel and unfortunately I didn't buy insurance so I have to pay for full 3 nights.

The location of the Hotel Plaza Mayor can’t be beaten for a visit to Madrid’s old town. None of the major sights are more than a fifteen or twenty minute walk away. The facility is simple and completely adequate. Neither luxurious nor Spartan, it was wonderfully efficient. The staff was friendly and helpful. Not criticisms, but to set expectations, our shower sprayed water everywhere. Fairly common in older European hotels, and well represented here. The Coffee Corner hardly seems worth the effort to maintain. It seems a higher quality machine with fewer choices in the lobby would make more sense, but perhaps that’s just me and my aging knees. Overall, though, exactly what we hoped and needed it to be.

It was a neat and affordable hotel with 24 hour refreshments. It is close to all the centers and major sites. People at the reception were very kind and friendly and helped us a lot. Especially, Stefan was very friendly and helpful and made it a great experience for us. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Madrid.

Almost impossible to ask for more. It was all perfect: the room clean and quiet, the central location at two minutes walk from the nearest metro, personnel kind and always disposable! We hope to return again!

Great stay in this charming and functional hotel. Room is clean, staff super friendly and a small breakfast is even provided for free. There is also a coffee corner with free drinks and fruits. Location is perfect for those who want to discover the city.

You will not find anyone on the reception even during the day. They will not reply fast to your call and rooms are missing hotel guides or they reception number. AC had only heating function, cooling was not working. But the good news is they assured that cooling will work during summer months. Windows are from opaque glass. If you want to look outside of the wind you need to open it. No breakfast only free coffee on the -1 floor. Keep in mind, this is Bed and Breakfast without breakfast at the hotel price. Cheap uncomfortable pillows. If you like church bells this is the right place to stay. I do recommend Regente hotel instead. It’s in the same price range but with much better service and quality rooms. Located in the same area.

We had a wonderful stay at B&B Hotel! The location was phenomenal; we could see the entrance to the plaza mayor from our room. The facility was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. What's more, it was very affordable! We loved our time here and hope to return.

I spent two nights here while in Madrid for work. It is right in the centre of the city and so very handy for the office and eating out. It was cheap and really clean. My 5th floor room had a pretty nice view, seen here. There was free tea, coffee and fruit, and each morning sweet treats in a bag on my door. The staff were very friendly and helpful, all things considered it is a perfect B&B and I would happily visit again 😁

I had a terrible experience with people at the reception. Especially the person named Marina. She was extremely rude. She made my stay miserable. For this, I would never go back to this hotel, and certainly not recommend it to anyone. I was harassed for being about 10 minutes late for checkout. The thing is, I was even being charged for it!!! The receptionist Marina kept calling my room without interruption and was very rude. I spent 4 days at this hotel, and so 10 or 15 minutes late was really not a reason to treat me like this (especially that I was already paying for the late checkout!). People at your reception should treat guests better. Otherwise you will lose customers. The way your receptionist treated me was simply disgusting.

Marina at the front desk is wonderful! She is bright, warm, and helped me coordinate some travel plans. She was engaging, friendly, and so welcoming when we arrived. I felt right at home! Thank you for a great stay!

This small boutique hotel is in the perfect location. It was within easy walking distance of everything on my “Things to See” list. My room was small but comfortable. The front desk staff was extremely helpful whenever I had a question. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in B&B HOTEL Madrid Centro Plaza Mayor and really enjoyed the location. We walked everywhere which was very convenient. The staff where amazing and very helpful. The room was really nice. The only complaint we have is how hot it was. I don’t even know how to describe the heat. We would come back from outside and when we open the door to the room it was as if we were opening a hot oven. It was a heat that felt absolutely unsafe. We had to ask the staff for a mini fan because there was no way to sleep. We were to the point of just staying outside all day because it was cooler out than in. The overall hotel is amazing but they really need to fix the air situation.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was tiny, but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It's proximity to the centre core make it a great value for the money. The treats that were offered in lieu of breakfast were good, but we're just snacks. It was also quite far down from the main level.

  • 5/5 Louisa K. 6 months ago on Google
I had a lovely stay at this hotel. Location was central and easy walking distance to main attractions. Room was thoroughly cleaned and tidied every day and had everything I needed. Coffee room with snacks was a fantastic bonus, I used this a lot. Staff were welcoming and helpful. I felt really safe and comfortable as a solo traveller. My only small issue was that my wifi connection in my room wasn't strong and I had to go downstairs to get a better connection. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Room is ok - a bit on the dark side due to the paint. Location is great, very central and close to Plaza Mayor and Sol. Close to metro. It was a bit small so we had problems with luggage and moving around. Bed is very comfortable but a bit small for 2. No key, just a code, which is great. Coffee corner in the basement for free. Good Wifi. Good air-con. There was a bit of an issue with toilet and water refill at certain points of the day, but it filled up eventually. Nice staff, you can leave luggage after the stay until 22.00. Would stay again mainly due to location and services.

We have stayed at the Hotel Plaza Mayor in Madrid many times in the past, and we look forward to staying there again in the future. The staff are friendly, cheerful, and very patient when needed. The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with good quality linens. We have recommended this hotel to our friends, and they were all extremely satisfied as well.

  • 5/5 Morgan F. 11 months ago on Google
This hotel exceeded my expectations honestly. For a “2 star hotel” the rooms are generally clean, the service was friendly and helpful, and the location was central. We were able to get early check in which was lovely and the reception wrote down the address of a laundromat nearby we could use. When we got into our room everything was pretty clean and well stocked. Our only two complaints with the room was that the walls are due for a cleaning (handprints above bed) and the shower is designed poorly (it leaks water onto the floor no matter how you try to shower). But overall we had a comfortable stay. We were most pleasantly surprised to find the hotel gives you a mini breakfast bag every morning with waters, a couple small croissants, and cookies. A great touch I’ve never received at any other hotel, not to mention a “budget hotel”. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Madrid and honestly I’d go back.

Fantastic place. My room was clean, maybe a bit small but very good for the location and price. Very nice room too. The service was always friendly. Also I forgot my headphones in the room and as soon as I wrote the team they found and stored them for me at the reception. They even packaged them for me so I could order a courier to send them back home. I‘m super thankful!

This hotel was amazing! So close to the Plaza Mayor; really convenient for exploring Madrid. We loved the room, we LOVED the free coffee, and the little breakfast we got every morning was a treat. My only complaint/warning is that there are A LOT of stairs. If you have mobility issues (I do), this is NOT a good hotel to stay at as it is not accessible. The coffee corner was down three flights of stairs, so consequently, I only went once and my partner had to bring me coffee for the rest of the trip. The elevator will get you from floor to floor, but each floor also has several little staircases you'll need to climb, and there's even a staircase to GET TO the elevator. So if you can't climb any stairs, do not stay here. If you can climb SOME stairs and don't mind not being able to access the coffee yourself, then this is a fantastic option. Also, our AC didn't work at all, but it was cool enough outside that opening the windows was an option.

I appreciated my stay at BB Hotel Plaza Mayor in Madrid because I found a comfortable accomodation and the staff was very available to sort out any problem. The hotel is located in the city centre, and it is possible to check-in 24/24 with the automatic system. The room was clean and there was a coffee automatic service available 24/24 in a common dining room. Water for given to the rooms everyday for free as some sweets and fruits for breakfast. The staff was kind and spoke Engligh fluently so I did not have difficulties for communicating. I really recommend it.

Pros: Very kind custumer service Great localisation Tasty small pastries in the morning with coffee and juice Cons: Should close the coffee area during the night !!! Close to give 3 stars because of that... people were pre-drinking there, coming back drunk during the night screaming, woke me up 2-3 times. 0 soundproof. Bed not confortable Room wasn't properly cleaned I would gladly recommand this hotel for a short stay. But if you stay more than 2-3 nights I would say you take a more confortable hotel.

My experience was pleasant! Receptionists especially Celia are ready to go beyond to try and meet our requests. They were also proactive in emailing me to update regarding our requests (though I failed to respond in time XD). Coffee corner is such a great idea with healthy food and unlimited drink. Our room was tidy and spacious, and the toilet is clean. If I find myself in Madrid again, I will definitely stay here.

It is a hotel with prices according to its excellent location and amenities, I went in the middle of August and I did not experience heat.Another detail is the bar in the basement, with everything installed for breakfast, lunch with a dispenser of coffee, juices, etc. all free of charge. (Translated by Google) Very nice reception, but nothing more, I coincided with a lot of occupation in Madrid and they charged me € 216 a micro room for myself, if € 216, crazy ... cardboard walls I heard the minimum noise, horrendous bathroom, the screen fell, I do not know what its price will be on a "normal" day even though it was a Wednesday ... but I would not pay more than 50 a night, comparable to going to a decentral pension, FULLY ADVISABLE.

(Translated by Google) I try the excellent receptionist, or detail the little bag that they leave you every morning at the door of the room with muffins and croissants, and the free cafeteria service, the music that you put in the morning at the place to have a great breakfast. The room only hits the electrical restriction issue of what you cannot plug in. The location of the hotel great, magnificent. The cleaning very good.

(Translated by Google) Very good Hotel right next to the main square, its location is unbeatable and the treatment of the staff very, very good. I do not understand some reviews of other users complaining about breakfast or the bathroom, for one two stars it feels like I have 4 (I travel a lot, I have been to four-star hotels that compared to this one look like slums). For people who are accustomed to travel will not miss all those things that are never used as: sauna, gym or a buffet with 2000 dishes. Pros: -Exquisite staff attention, there is always someone at reception with a smile on their mouths even if it is the end of their 8 hour shift. -Unbeatable location. -Small details like a breakfast bag that makes your morning happy. -The receptionists liked my shirt, and I always value people with good taste ;-) Cons: -I don't know if it will be in all the rooms, I suppose it is for safety but the bathroom does not have a lollipop latch, it is not a counter if we go. Tips: You will not find a hotel that gives you 2000 potingues to shower, there is a hand soap dispenser and another one in the shower, as always, travel with your own toilet bag and everything is ready.

(Translated by Google) The best of our stay, the reception staff were a group that always went to this hotel for many years but a couple had an incident in the room with a membership that was neither attended nor corrected by the hotel management, a pity that for the next time we go, we have to find another hotel (Original) Lo mejor de nuestra estancia el personal de recepción fuimos un grupo que siempre íbamos a éste hotel desde hace bastantes años pero tuvo una pareja una incidencia en la habitación con una pertenencia que no fue ni atendida ni subsanada por la dirección del hotel, una pena que para la próxima vez que vallamos tengamos que buscarnos otro hotel
