I do not recommend this hotel! The only good thing about it is the location. We were checked in by two older men at the front desk that are not welcoming at all. It was a chore to check us in. There is black mold in our shower. The rooms don’t let you control the air conditioning, so it’s very hot. The gym costs 6 € a day! That is not advertised on the website at all, and none of the gyms ever charge for usage. The floor is our room is dirty and the light above the bed has bugs and dirt in it. There are little toiletries too. There’s construction on the building too by 8 AM, so it’s very loud, even on Saturdays. For 5 days, the $755 was not worth it! Crazy price for how little is offered especially because breakfast is also not included!

Staff was extremely rude and racist. They rolled their eyes on my dad because he is of different ethnicity from him. My dad would apologize to make things better but he would continue to treat him unprofessionally. I have seen them treat another man with the same way. That is extremely disgusting and disappointing.

The best thing is that the hotel was clean. Overall reception stuff was quite rude,I asked them if I can do a late check out twice to which they said it was okay and didn’t tell me it cost anything( I asked in advance),than when I was checking out demanded 60€ (It doesn’t say anything on their website) and threatened to call the police. I didn’t even really need a late check out just wanted to use a shower that’s why I asked. The manager called someone who supposedly spoke to me and lied that they told me about the fee. At the end of it a kind stranger offered to pay to stop the situation from escalating. Another thing was that I asked for a fork and they said they can give me a plastic one for 0.50€……..No toiletries either

My fathers stayed here two times during their trip and I can say the experience was amazing. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to solve any issue. The rooms are cozy and well equipped (and clean of course). We booked directly in their website and pay online with a link they sent to us (super safe!). The value for the price is outstanding. We undoubtedly recommend the hotel as we will be going back in a few months.

There cannot be better location than this, bang on Gran Via, everything is nearby, you can just roam around anytime in day or night,it's so lively.Metro and bus stop and stone throe distance.Rooms are huge ,I got a double bed and extra room with sofa bed with 2 television. There was microwave as well which is an added facility and helped us a lot to heat baby food .When you visiting Madrid this is must stay hotel.

I think the photos posted on Agoda was not true to the real deal. The room looks real plain and doesn’t have kettle nor cups and no mini bar. No bathroom amenities such as toothbrush, conditioner etc, only 1 wall pump liquid soap. Truth to be told, I am disappointed as each night cost more than €95 with NO breakfast. Sound proofing was bad! Whenever someone walked pass, can hear them loudly and clearly! Noise from the upper level too. So noisy and really can’t sleep peacefully! Location was good as it’s situated along the shopping stretch of street (good if you’re a shopaholic..) but that also contribute to the noise level.. u get siren and drunk people from the street screaming in the middle of the night….. The same rating/feedback will be shared to Agoda and TripAdvisor.

Great location and friendly and helpful staff. But it didn't have mini fridge nor air conditioning which is advertised on their page. When asked about it, the mini bars are only in certain rooms and the AC was shut down because winter season had already started but the room was really hot. Since we didn't have AC, we had to crack open the windows and we could hear everything from rhe street below.

I stayed here 2 years ago for 3 days. The hotel was very nice and the staff was kind and very helpful. The room was big and the color choice was enjoyable and the view, even though it was overlooking on the street

We came as a couple. We are used to staying at the hostels in the Chueca region. Regente hotel has some budget rooms priced a little higher than some good hostels offering a better space in the room, and an amazingly good shower - hot water and pressure at any time. No refrigerator, nor coffee machine. The heating didn’t work during our stay. The wifi connection is unstable, repeatedly dropping the users without advice. Also, it is necessary to log in every time you get into the hotel. The service is very limited and the staff is a little cold, if not rude. The cleaners start making huge noise early in the morning. Cleaning stays at the very minimum - the bed is just stretched every day. Aside from the location, nothing else deserves to be noted. By the way, the hotel’s restaurant food is pricy and poor.

Great price, excellent location, friendly staff. 10/10 recommend. The room was clean and spacious. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind. And they even stored our luggage for free after check out until we could check in to our next place.

We booked this a few days before occupancy and stayed over a holiday weekend so we didn't have much choice especially considering I was traveling with my adult children and needed a room with 3 beds. I think the 3 bed rooms are the smallest in most hotels so never very comfortable. But this room was impossibility small for 3. Also, I think the hotel hosted a 3 month sumo wrestlers convention and the winning team slept on the beds in our room - awful mattresses that should have been changed years ago. No sitting area or lounge in the hotel, a negative for me, don't always want to relax a shirt while on a bed. Great location with friendly staff.

Everything about this hotel was fine. The staff did their job but were not the most friendly. Rooms were quite small, bare, and the AC unit started making a buzzing noise on the last night. Breakfast was okay if somewhat limited. Location is very good, so it works as a base for exploring Madrid if you don’t expect to do much in the hotel except sleep.

The location is the best feature. Just walk out the door and everything is accessible. Staff weren't over friendly. It's a wonderful choice if you want to be in the heart of the city. Great value. The express menu at the snack bar is fantastic value.

Very nice and spacious rooms, with a great location, just few steps from Zara at Gran Via and to El Corte Ingles. Service is very good. We had an issue with a package, but it was well taken care, personally by the manager. Mistakes do happen, but what makes the difference is how it is solved. Will come back!

Hotel Regente is the worst hotel that I have ever set my foot in and I would avoid it at all cost. Dirty room No tissue box No kettle No slippers No toothbrush and toothpaste Staff at the counter doesnt smile and is rude towards me when i reuqested for some basic stuff. Even questioned me on requesting for excess towels which is a customer's right. My wife and I felt threatened by such hostility. Really poor service and shame of a hotel. The only saving grace is its location at Gran Via.

The hotel is in a great location, the receptionists were all pleasant and helped us out with cabs! The room was good and suited our needs. Definitely a good place to stay, if you wish to be in the city center.

Hotel ok for stay, but the gym is open 9am to 9pm, which are my working hours and they told me there was no option to open it earlier. Poor custome service.

The A/C didn’t work for my whole stay and they didn’t fix it (it was a 5 day stay, so they’ve had the time to do it) and the front desk staff is the worst I’ve ever met, principally the man that works on the Night Shift

Perfect stay, and surprised by the calm in the room (5th floor). Close to Gran Vía (where you'll find taxis and bus). Nice staff in the restaurant for breakfast

Read mixed reviews about this hotel so wasn’t sure what to expect. However this hotel just blew us away! It was so lovely I would go back in a heartbeat. The location is amazing especially if you want to do shopping. Very close to metro stations so easy to move around the city. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was great with lovely aircon and very clean bathroom. A small fridge in the cupboard to keep your drinks cold. Nice simple but enjoyable breakfast. Great wifi, what more can you ask for :) would definitely recommend

Big room, very comfortable bed, very good location, everything it's 30 minutes walking, nice breakfast and full. Very clean. Ready to repeat 😂😂😂.

Location was great. Reception-polite staff. Room - no light at all. At 11h still dark... Not serving breakfest was a bit unusual even it is covid as everywhere all is anyhow full of people... plus hotel should adapt to the need of customer. Moreover, the provided breakfest in boxes was poor. Can be much better!!! 2 out of 5 for meal.

Perfectly located. I stayed here 3 years ago in 2018 when i visited Madrid. It was very close to all the shopping centers. A short walk to the center plaza which is also the center of Madrid. The rooms were clean and large. The bathroom was very spacious. I did not have a great view, but I wasn't looking for one, I am sure there may have been rooms with better views. The bakery across the street if it is still there has great coffee.

Nice view, and nice an clean room. The breakfast is big, you have a lot of different things. But the Wlan is very bad. It was very loud in the room… you hear every car and everything from you neighbour….

  • 2/5 Luis F. 2 years ago on Google
Very noisy room, the window does not seal outside noise from the street, and the door also does not seal noise from the corridor. The breakfast is simple and buffet. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Not a 8.4 booking note. Photos from booking are deceiving. The smell from the room was horrible(tabaco). The bed was inconfortable. Breakfast to take away. There were a lot of strange noises from the AC and other rooms. The price is expensive. I don't recommend to stay there.
