Great food served in a great atmosphere (ate inside) excellent service and decent pricing for the product you get. I believe it is a chain of restaurants but it does feel like it is a unique and this in particular is large and elegant as if it only was the only one in Madrid. I would come back once a week to eat here if I lived in Madrid. They have a good selection of wines by the glass and food specially sea food (as they also have land dishes) is very fresh. Do not hesitate to try it.

Very nice restaurant with quality seafood products. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that patiently helped us with options for the kids as well. Would definitely recommend for seafood lovers. (We didn't try the meat options so can't say much about that).

Lovely place to have lunch or dinner ! I sat on the terrace for lunch. We were a group of 4 people. We ordered anchoas with tomates and large red shrimps to start. The shrimp was delicious and juicy. I would definitely recommend ordering it. Then for our main plates we ordered a fideuá and a fish of the day. We paired our meal with a bottle of white wine- Verdejo. Everything was delicious ! Oh we also ordered dessert ! A crepe and tiramisu. I would recommend trying this place out if you haven’t.

I can’t say enough great things about Gran Barril. The service was excellent! The food presentation was perfect! Aroz caldoso lobster was an incredible dish. The pulpo was the best I’ve ever had. I recommend that anyone traveling to Madrid spend at least one meal here. You’ll love it! Our server René was super. He did a great job explaining all the different dishes and made us feel at home.

Ome of the finest an more elegant restaurants in Madrid. Served as the good old days and manage very well. Product is fresh (specially fresh), raciones are ok and variety awesome. Alcachofas is a must. The ensaladilla is lubina made. Not cheap.

Rice was regular, needed more flavors, fish was great but service was very dissatisfied for us. We had to wait 30 minutes for dessert and had to cancel them.

I thought the food was good but a little pricey. Good service as the staff was always attentive. I love their bread variety and the way they present the food. The place was a bit loud and crammed. Overall a good experience.

Excellent seafood & service in a beautiful setting. I had some braised octopus and then grilled monkfish. Flan for dessert with pear ice cream. All were outstanding. Very attentive wait staff. Recommend.

I make it a point to eat here every time I'm in Madrid. The seafood selection is always fresh, and the specials are fantastic. It's one of the only places open between lunch and dinner time. Usually packed but service is very good.
