Great place. Very nice place and natural view. Temple is very nice and maintained very well. Temple build on single stone and great art work. If you go inside the temple feeling very cool maybe because of the stone.

Good temple of Lord Shiva 🙏. Drive to this temple (approx 10km) from highway is fantastic. I enjoyed it. The main fascinating thing about this temple is that some male god idols are in female attire. Lord Ganesha is one of them. View from the top is also scenic and fabulous. I’ll recommend to visit once.

Have visited this place a couple of times. Mornings in October and November are the best time. The flower farms around the temple are at full bloom adding another level of beauty. It is a great destination for cycling trip as well though advance level. Even though invaders have damaged it the temple is serene and beautiful. The entrance to temple is unique. I will it spill the beans. Visit to see it yourself Note: the pavement are made of black rock. They might become hot at noon and evening. Please take care of you are visiting late in the evening

A beautiful temple with intricate carvings. A magnificent Nandi bull. Fairly small but a lot to take in. There are several lights and CCTV cameras which could be more obscured to retain the beauty, and the whole temple would benefit from some careful tlc to bring it back to its full glory. But do visit. Very peaceful (although it was beginning to get a little crowded when we left around 2.30pm, Sunday.

... जय जय शिव शंभु ... ॐ नमः शिवाय ... जय जय शिव शंभु ... ॐ नमः शिवाय ... जय जय शिव शंभु ... ॐ नमः शिवाय ... A beautiful and essential visit to a peaceful place. Shiva is the ruling deity, and the temple was built in the eighth century, almost 1200 years ago. Rich cultural artwork is depicted in the sculptures and buildings, which elegantly combine elements of Northern and South traditions. Even if some of the statues are broken, the complicated carvings show how intelligent, focused, and diligent the ancient artists were. The carvings are exactly the same, with not even the slightest variations. The temple has historically sustained damage from invaders, yet its quiet and lovely atmosphere has been preserved. Its distinctive entrance heightens the attraction and makes it a must-see. A wonderful temple with a huge Nandi bull and elaborate carvings. Despite its modest size, the temple has a lot to offer. While useful, the several lights and CCTV cameras should be positioned more covertly to maintain the temple's natural beauty. Even if the temple started to get a little crowded when we left at 2:30 pm on a Sunday, it is still a serene retreat that may be restored with some careful, gentle loving care. ... जय जय शिव शंभु ... ॐ नमः शिवाय ... जय जय शिव शंभु ... ॐ नमः शिवाय ... जय जय शिव शंभु ... ॐ नमः शिवाय ...

This temple is said to have been built by King Krishnadevaraya. Krishnadevaraya was an emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire, who reigned from 1509 to 1529. He was the third ruler of the Tuluva dynasty. He ruled the largest empire in India after the decline of the Delhi Sultanate. Presiding over the empire at its zenith, he is regarded as an icon by many Indians.

Marvelous temple with unique architecture, sadly all the idols are destroyed by Islamic invaders... Reaching on top no issues at all. 4 wheeler can be directly taken near to the temple. Visit early morning to stay away from crowds.. Washrooms are neat and clean. No entrance fees.

Explore the world, see its beauty but start from where you live, your surroundings. A weekend trip with @Western_routes left me mesmerizing about the beauty of Bhuleshwar Temple. From Yavat its 10 kms inside a beautiful stretch of road, small ghat (drive slow and safe). Rs 30/- entry per vehicle. It's a steep road to the temple so drive slow. Parking is available but limited. The place is well kept and washrooms are available. Once inside the shrine of Lord Shiva you shall experience a different world. Dated back to the 12th century every sculpture has a story to say. Suggestions: avoid visiting during festivals as it can get a little crowded.

Peaceful vibes, serene route and fabulous view from this temple make it worth to come here by bike or car. The temple is very old with some great but damaged carvings. Worthy to visit in morning or evening time to save from heat. The temple premises got moderate parking space. There are some restrictions to get the vehicles at the top of the hill. While we visited, the vehicle entry was allowed until 9 in the morning and after 5 in the evening. We combined this trip here with visit to Kanchan veg restaurant for food.

Wow, This pleace is a great hidden gem near Pune. Located around 40 kms from Hadapsar on Pune Solapur road, you need to turn right after Yavat and 8 kms brings you to this marvel. You need to park ur car near the main entrance gate and take a km of walk through a well paved road. Surrounded by thick forest. Believe me this walk is so so refreshing. You need to climb few stairs to reach temple. Temple is simple. Complete stone structure. Carvings in stone will leave you amazed. It's a craft of a master carver I would say. Some Past Joker invaders have tempered with this wonder but couldn't destroy it's aura. I didn't find this to be a commercially highjacked site and found it so peaceful. Highly recommend for a quick few hours of gateaway. Lot of great food options on the highway leading here.

👍 A must visit ancient temple of Lord Shiva situated at hill top and said to be around 1000 years old.. You will find the structure bit contradictory with both tower and dome resembling Hindu and Muslim sculpture. As per sayings it was just to prevent the temple from demolishing by Muslim rulers. 👌 Temple carving is at another level, too much of detailed works with layering. You can have some mesmerizing nature view all around the temple from the outside. ⭐Well maintained with parking and washroom facility. Only part is that you will not find any food stall here.

Marvellous! The temple has an astonishing architecture associated with it. The solid carved pillars, the sculptures of our Hindu deities, the art - altogether form a powerful shiv temple combining aesthetics and spirituality. The outside weather can be very hot during sunny days, yet when one enters inside the temple , one finds a calm cool climate which is so relaxing. Bhuleshwar temple is an ancient shiv temple which is a must to see!

A most beautiful and a must visit serene location. Idol worshipped is Shiva. Believed to be constructed about 1200 years back (8th century). One could see a mix of culture depicted in sculptures and the architecture, from both South and Northern style. Though many statues are broken, the idols are carved in very systematic way and are par excellent, showing the brilliance, concentration and hard work by the shilpis of yesteryear. One can observe many identical carvings without even a minute difference between them. Great.

Really peaceful and divine place. Its an archaeological heritage site with wonderful stone carvings. Even though many carvings have been damaged in historical invasions, the grandeur of the temple still remains!

Bhuleshwar is a old temple atop a small hill. The carvings inside the temple are absolutely breathtaking. The view from small hill is also very nice of the surrounding area. The car goes all way to top, but if you are not comfortable then you can park at base parking and climb stairs - which are not many. I highly recommend a visit to this marvelous piece of architecture.

Hindu temple of Shiva, situated around 45 kilometres from Pune and 10 km from Pune Solapur highway from Yawat in Maharashtra, India. The temple is situated on a hill and was built in the 8th century. There are classical carvings on the walls. It has been declared as a protected monument. Many birds migrate here and to Narayanbet, which is fifteen kilometers from here, during summer. The spot is hence visited by many bird-watchers. There are many places to visit around Bhuleshwar Temple. Like Theur Ganapati Mandir, Ramdara Temple and Jejuri Temple.

I would rate this as category 'A' heritage structure. The temple is under control of Archeological Department. It is located on the hill and surrounded by watchtowers at various directions. Some people say that this was fort, which was later on developed as Temple devoted to Lord Shiva. Road to Temple is well maintained and one should not think twice while planning journey to this devine place.

Away and near to Pune but quiet and not crowded mandir of shiv shambhoo. The place is not exploited and not commercial. Moving around the temple is amazing feeling as it is black stone preserved and maintained for years. The inside is the temple gives a feel of calmness and gives peace of mind. Car can go to the top but advise you park at lower level and then walk to the temple which is exploring tracking around and doable by all. It will take about 10 minutes to get to temple. Go around and have the view from the top. Sit and relax. Maharaj and people working at the mandir are all nice and helpful. There is a donation point inside the temple but it is at your shraddha to do so.

I started at 5:30AM to avoid to-fro traffic. Truly worth it. Good road. A Good ghat section of the road. Simply magnificent. The temple(or fort) is excellent. Most of the fort is in ruins. Centuries old temple still has its sheen. The sculptures are too good, very expressive even today. Due to the notice of "NO photography" inside could not take pics inside the temple. I was lucky to also attended morning aarti. A can visit this place with famly. If you are lucky, you might see dear &other wildlife, many colorful birds.

Beautiful hilltop temple with ancient origin. The intricately carved idols seem to be damaged intentionally but still can be visualised with the remaining ruins. Cool Breeze flows most of time making it pleasant to visit. The road leading to Parking is very steep and the car before us gave way and we had to come down and park at beginning of steps. Hardly any marking to guide todards temple or marking except the Kaman but once you enter kaman, hard to miss. After the main kaman, you need to pay Rs 50 to gram panchayat to enter. Shoes stand is there without charge but without and monitoring. The 360° view from the temple is great, especially during and after monsoon. Last few kms to the temple is ghat area and pleasure for driving enthusiasts but pain for others.

A quiet place of great beauty and great importance to visit. Shiva is a revered idol. dated to the eighth century, almost 1200 years ago. A variety of cultures, including both Northern and South American styles, were portrayed in the sculptures and buildings. Even though a large number of the statues are broken, the idols are exceptionally well-carved and demonstrate the intelligence, focus, and diligence of the ancient shilpis. There are numerous carvings that are exact replicas of one another, lacking even the slightest distinction. Fantastic.

At least 2 centuries old temple. Wish government had put up more information on the board about the architecture and history along with just a standard "historical place, do not damage" waring. Carry your food , and water. Do not litter around. Carry back your garbage.

It was one of the oldest tample situated very near pune but somehow not known to many or we can say visiters are less when we compaire to other places. You can find beautifully carved sculpture depicting Ramayana and Mahabharata Stories here. The work done on small small sculptures is very delicate, you can find lots of minute details even on smallest piece of work done. Really amazing and wonderful to see this. It is said to be build during Yadava dynasty. Very peacefull place. Four wheeler parrking, drinking water is availble on top of mountain. You can also find small pond there which accesible to all. Oldest temple of Lord shiva. Near to pune on solapur highway, 8 kms off from kanchan restaurant. Connecting road from solapur highway to temple is good especially in monsoon. Enough parking space. Car can go till temple gate. I went in last week of October 2021 on Sunday in noon time. Its not jyotirling but it's very old temple. A family can have picnic near temple.surrounding area is scenic and worth relaxing. This temple is on a hill so driving till temple is fun and joy experience. Best time is early morning. If noon then go in winter or monsoon. There are good dhabas like kanchan leela and few more on solapur highway so while going enjoy breakfast and returning enjoy lunch. It will be a good half day outing for a family.

What a Serene Place!! Its hilly and the roads make for a beautiful ride all the way to top of the mountain. Roads are good till the parking spot. Locals charges Rs.30 to enter parking space. Then walk about 30 mins to reach temple. On weekends or holidays be prepared to wait for an hour in a queue to enter inside the temple.

Late Chalukyan Temple. The great era of Chalukyan Kingdom in Maharashtra. Temple was 3-4 time reconstructed so we are watching total different Temple. Inner carvings are from original Temple. Bhuleshwar Temple is ruining because of Couples and North Indians who don't have sense or respect for Deity now it's become tourist spot. Need some security protocols to protect and keep the holy environment.

Bhuleshwar Temple is a historic Hindu temple located in the Pune district of Maharashtra, India. Here is some information about the temple: 1. **Location:** The Bhuleshwar Temple is situated in the Yavat village, about 50 kilometers from Pune city. 2. **Architecture:** The temple is known for its unique and ancient Hemadpanthi architectural style, which is common in many medieval temples in Maharashtra. The temple complex features intricately carved stone walls and sculptures. 3. **Deity:** The primary deity of the temple is Lord Shiva, and the lingam (the symbolic representation of Shiva) is housed in the inner sanctum. 4. **Historical Significance:** The temple has a rich historical background and is believed to date back to the Yadava dynasty in the 13th century. The story goes that Parvati had come here to see the beauty of the temple, but Shiva created an illusion of a forest to hide from her. When Parvati couldn't find him, she was disheartened, and Shiva revealed himself to her, hence the name "Bhuleshwar," which means "the Lord who forgets." 6. **Festivals:** The temple attracts a significant number of devotees during the festival of Mahashivratri when special rituals and celebrations take place. 7. **Scenic Location:** The temple is located on a hill and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Very beautiful temple. Its uphill but there’s a dirt road you can take. Photography is not allowed inside but I couldn’t resist to capture at least a section of this architecture. Very serene and peaceful. They have a big fair during Mahashivratri. And there’s a huge queue to pray lord Shiva. Rest of the time of the year it is not busy. There are lots of frangipani trees around. The sunset is a view to behold !

Devine place. When I went there at that time fair was going on. Due to shravan month there was rush. Wet parked vehicle in base and climbed. It's not much to climb. Architecture and carvings are shaving amazing. Carvings specially are mind boggling. Notice female form of Ganesha if u plan to visit. Nandi also very beautiful. Many beautiful carvings are unfortunately destroyed by Muslims, that gives pain to art lover.
