We booked two weeks at Baltic Beach hotel and stayed in Family room. It was special offer for 215 euros/night, however later we discovered cheaper offer on Booking.com. Breakfast was perfect, also Family room was spacious and clean. Bathroom/toilets are outdated in the room. Lift is too small for buggy. We were disappointed about SPA and Fitness. This is probably the only hotel in the world where your body is checked before entering swimming pool. You have to pay 20 euros for check-up if you do not have Covid-vaccine. Same applies to fitness. This is very discriminating as I could not be vaccinated because of pregnancy and recent birth. Saunas were not working and swimming pools were too cold. Without Covid-certificate we had to eat breakfast on terrace - totally different experience from Swiss and Italian hotels where saunas, fitness and indoor restaurants are available for everyone.

5* hotel on the beach for poor Russian oligarchs. Fantastic location, hands down, doesn't get much better in Jūrmala. BUT the hotel itself is stuck in 1994 - rooms are small, outdated, funny old school tiny LG TV in a luxury room, bathroom + shower needs a major upgrade ASAP. Random shops in the lobby and duck-lipped crowd in all areas don't add much appeal either. All in all, it's a 3* hotel at best, and for an authentic Jūrmala experience you should probably look elsewhere ;)

This is my first stay at a “beach” hotel in the Baltics and definitely the last. We was in a family celebration in Lithuania and wanted to take some days at “the best” hotel in Jurmala, but this hotel reminds me more of the ferry that is going between Oslo and Copenhagen then a hotel. Bad beach, bad service, bad food, bad drinks, hard beds, bad air condition and it needs a solid portion of renovation. If this hotel was on the French Riviera it would be a B&B. They have in some way made a place for the wannabe rich Baltics to show of and hopefully they stay there😂 I don’t know if I should laugh or cry for the money we had to pay for the two nights. If you have been to five stars hotels around the world this is a parody. Save yourself the time/money and don’t go there!

Honestly a pretty disappointing place. The rooms are old but OK. The view is ok. You can see the sea if you look around the corner. The worst thing about the Hotel is the spa. Actually it's not a spa but a children's playground surrounded by two saunas and a steam bath. You have to wear sweaty swimwear which makes it disgusting to use the sauna. It's not a place where you can relax at all. Doors open every 10 seconds because screaming children are running around everywhere... The "spa" and gym closes at 21:00 pm even if a big sign outside says it's open till 23:00. There is some more spa areas with probably less children but using this for 2 hours costs about 100 Euro. All in all this hotel is to far away from a 5 star standard. There is music everywhere in the hotel which makes it hard to understand each other if you want to have a conversation. So I can defenetly not recommend to stay there.

It is great hotel, but definitely not 5stars. One cannot keep 5star hotel offering such extra thin 1ply toilet paper to the customers. SPA is ok, decent swimming pool and some saunas. Beach location is outstanding. In conclusion if you like russian wannabe oligarh style erzats bling-bling and slavic vibe glam, then it's place to be.

Was good!! Curtains for front seat view so not make much sense but have been opened :) I mean if you book a seat view front view you should get sea view front view and not fixed curtain view blockers. Was a special but nice experience. Excellent ginger tea, but if you wanna trink a tea in the restaurant the host lady was making quite the face, but we met the first smiling waitress with red hair she was nice!

Dear all, I need to share my experience when I visited the SPA center with my family and stayed at the Baltic Beach Hotel for 1 night in the middle of November, 2021. I experienced an unacceptably unkind attitude from the service staff when I visited the swimming pool with my 3-year-old child. On the morning of arrival I called the Baltic Beach reception, where I was confirmed that I could arrive at the hotel around 13.30, and my booked Double De Luxe would be available. Arriving at the hotel at 13:55, the receptionist (I don't remember the name) told me in a rather unpleasant way that the room would be ready in 40 minutes. That is, without showing any empathy for a client with a young child. Only when I told her that I had called in the morning to check the time when room will be available a solution was found and we met the room. Prompt action and we met for a service for which I am grateful, although I had to find and ask for a solution myself. There was a feeling that you were not expected and you definitely have to argue with someone (as usual in the service sector in Latvia) in order to receive the expected service. This would be a trifle, although worth mentioning. In the evening me, my wife and our child went to the pool. At the booked time, and a doctor's appointment to visit the pool we had with everyone. After receiving the towels we were sent to the "doctor's" office. Nurse Liene Ručevska stated that my family doctor's appointment was not valid and we could not go to the pool because we did not have the necessary diagnosis of the disease!!! These were exactly the same doctor's shipments for treatment in the pool that we have used in this SPA center before. And I also spoke to the Baltic beach reservation department last week, where it was confirmed that such doctor's notes will work. When I asked what the solution was, I was asked to talk to the girls in the SPA administration. And here I meet a girl who, with poisonous pleasure, told me, "You don't deserve anything, these submissions are useless and you can not visit the pool." When I asked what the employee's name was, I was quoted with sarcastic smile, "we don't give our names to anyone, call me Elizabeth, if you wish." Madness. I realized that I was talking to absolutely amateurs who did not offer any solution. Recurring - no solution for customer was offered. I said I have all shipments from doctors that I need, picked up my baby and went to the pool. We were followed by a security guard called by the staff, who told me to go away. For some reason, my wife and child was able to stay, even though they had exactly the same referrals. Treated us as criminals. It was only after my persistent clarification at the hotel reception and the demand for a continuous solution that I was allowed into the pool. I can't even describe this experience in words and I want to share it in the public. I have the impression that the employees in the administration of this company are unmotivated and dissatisfied. With the wrong attitude. Either underpaid or not trained to the required level. Dont get me wrong the hotel and spa itself are great, and so are the services on offer. That is why we visit this and try not to pay attention to the low level of service but this was too much for me not to share. In addition, I would like to mention that after the incident, no one of the Baltic Beach representatives contacted us, despite the fact that I have asked them to do so. Stay away from this place if you can and choose something different instead. This is not a 5 star hotel.

The hotel looks dated. Our room didn't look so bad in the photo, but in real life it feels like it was renovated in the 90's. The bathroom in out room had a nasty, rusty brown line running down the wall. The towels were really rough. At least it was clean. The breakfast was ok, but the staff looked so bored and half asleep, most didn't understand Latvian. We went sunbathing on Sunday and they informed us that we all of a sudden had to pay 10€ for a sun umbrella "because it's the weekend" although we didn't have to pay for it on Saturday. Then they didn't bring the umbrella for over an hour. But the teenagers setting the umbrellas up were very nice and professional. Overall don't recommend, not coming back here again.

Well, well.... marketed as 5 star hotel. Services probably like in 5 star hotel, but rooms and common areas from old movie. Room old, stinky carpet, bathrooms from early 90`s Moscow. Full of Russian speaking crowd. I got only good service and western service attitude from guest relations desk. Big THANKS to lady's in guest relations in lobby!

5 start hotel. Shame that all of them have burned out. 1) Mediocre staff, 2) SPA - Paid for 2 hours but only spent 40 minutes in there. Absolutely nothing to do. All of the shelves in the showers have started to rust. Dirty mirrors. Lockers don't lock properly. And even when you manage to lock it - it won't open. Even their staff admits that their locks are old and need to be replaced. 3) "Can't wait" to see what they have in mind for dinner. All of that and they ask you for 50€ insurance incase you break something. Shame that Gorden Ramsay is no longer doing his "Hotel Hell" TV Series.

Not a 5-star. Rooms oldfashioned, but ok clean, service is poor and not welcoming. Experienced that couple times. Best performers are down at the beach but hotel staff is really low level.

Extraordinarily strange hotel stay. Definitely not up to Western standards. Rooms are a bit run down for the very premium price. AC didn’t work sufficiently well in our second, upgraded room. Some great staff experiences and other very, very strange staff experiences. Beach is very nice, although service was quite slow on the beach.

Exceptional stay at Baltic Beach Hotel & SPA! Impeccably clean rooms, stunning beach views, and world-class spa facilities. Attentive staff, delicious dining, and a convenient location make this hotel a top choice for a luxurious and rejuvenating getaway. Highly recommended!

Hatten Deluxzimmer. Bad total veraltet. Fliessen kaputt. Keine Möglichkeit Necessaire unterzubringen. Frühstück entsprach max. 3 Sternen. Bedienung in Beach Restaurant katastrophal.

This is NOT a 5 star hotel. Even 4* would be a stretch in not that distant future given the condition of some of the rooms as well as the rest of the infrastructure. The location is simply fabulous. Restaurants are well overpriced but the food is delicious.

I have not stayed at the hotel, but the bar on the first floor serve the best latte in Jūrmala! Ask them for a latte with some whipped cream and you’ll have an incredible time with the most delicious coffee.

I had a wonderful hotel stay at the presidential suite. The Room was having lovely sunset and sunrise view. The food was exceptional, offering a delightful blend of flavors that left me truly impressed. The variety and quality of dishes made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

This hotel is located in good location near Baltic sea. You can reach the sea in 2 minutes walk. Rooms are good not best. Hotel's service is top level.

Very good 5 star hotel. Located right on Baltik sea beach. Hotel has good restaurants, bars, pool , good gym and very famous for spa. You need to know this place to understand how good is it. This is Jurmala, unique place where pine trees going almost in to the sea water and this combination creates unique air , very healthy for human.

Stayed here several times. It's my favorite place to stay in Jurmala. Location is unbeatable: next to the sea including beach club and restaurant, and 3 min walk from the main Jurmala promenade. Pool (newly renovated for 2022) is excellent. Long swimming lanes, plus side pool with waterfalls. Hot tub and 3 saunas all in same location. Spa services are also unbeatable, according to my wife. Rooms have an excellent airy feeling if you're in the tower side (recommended). Spacious. Heated bathroom floor. Though slightly dated feeling. There's wifi but it's highly unreliable. I end up using cell service, or downloading over the night. Service is very friendly and generally helpful. This includes front desk, porter, breakfast servers, maids. Breakfast buffet is decent, with western and Russian dishes. You can order coffee and some foods separately, though sometimes the waiters forget your order. Parking is pretty tight, but we use ride-sharing so it doesn't affect us.

Nice garden decorations as well as beach lights. The rooms are ok, Some things needs to be refurbished thou. Is a solid 3 to 3.5 star hotel. Not a 4 or not even close to 5 star hotel. Capuccino at the bar is 6 euro which seemed to be waaay too much. Personel is fruendlly but not 5star friendly. Overall was ok, but a room for 145eur a night is a total overkill especially for an off season where you cant really enjoy the beach as you do on summer.

I had a disappointing experience at this spa. Surprisingly, there was no free water or bar services available during my visit, making it impossible to enjoy any of the expected amenities. To add to the frustration, a loud kids' training session was taking place, completely undermining the supposed tranquility of a spa environment. Not the relaxing retreat I was hoping for.

  • 3/5 Ramintas P. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel is only good. The staff was nice, room was clean and comfortable, but however we were supposed to get a family room with king size bed, but the bed was only regular. Also the floor of the room was very noisy. SPA zone was great. Food was also good. Now the biggest problem is parking. They have a huge VIP parking lot, and it was completely empty while guests of the hotel have to park their cars on the grass.

Amazing gym/pool/sauna/spa hotel bristling with life and fun atmosphere - suitable for families too! Beautiful gym was one of the best I have ever seen in any hotel, ever - had a cardio room, a fitness room, a cycle studio, and on a separate floor had 2 weights rooms fitted with very high quality weights and free weights equipment - enough to satisfy the most zealous of gym goers! Beautiful and large swimming pool accompanied by not one, not two but three saunas of differing temperatures to suit all guest types including children-friendly atmosphere there as well. Jacuzzi and separate pool off the main pool, with plenty of sun loungers as well ... all-in-all an incredible atmosphere, facilities and experience. There is also full spa facilities there as well for those who want it. Also right next to a beautiful sandy beach! Really incredible stay even though it was the middle of winter!

Great room, wonderful sea view, lovely service. Unfortunately one of the elevators did not work and downstairs Spa zone doors were closed, so there was a queue of those people wanting to go down to the SPA. SPA zone was not crowded, due to Covid-19 restrictions. 1.5h time limit. My locker did not open, had to ask staff for assistance. Recommendation- should be available drinking water for SPA zone visitors!

The hotel is beautiful and the people who work there are very nice, but there was some problems with understanding and now with the covid the spa area and how it works it’s so complicated, but eventually we got what we wanted. Food was so good and there is so many things to chose from. The breakfast was on of ghe best breakfast I have had from a hotel. All in all 4 star. One star of because the complications we had with un understanding. I do recommend👍

Overall great spa hotel, really professional, friendly and polite staff, who are ready to help with every request. Food at the IL sole restaurant (located on the hotel territory) is delicious and the breakfast is also fantastic. We stayed at the executive suit room: room is spacious, with a great view to the sea. Also there is a nice and huge balcony. Although this hotel is definitely 5* hotel according to the 2000s standards, for 2022 it felt a bit outdated. Room was clean, but the furniture is old. Spa zone is nice(2 types of sauna, pool, jakuzzi) but attendance is limited to 1.5h. Despite all the tiny disadvantages, I would definitely return here and would recommend this hotel to others:)

This is the best hotel in Latvia if you want a relaxing spa break. The best location, private beach and the best food. Rooms are so quiet at night, you are guaranteed a good night sleep ! The sea water heated pool with underwater massage is awesome. Also I highly recommend the Roman Mineral Sauna which is next to the pool. The only downsides - some of the younger seasonal staff at the beach and breakfast area seemed moody and tired, coffee in a tiny paper cup at the beach lounge cost €5, that's ridiculous.

Loved our stay here. Staff were friendly and fluent in English, great Beach access, spa and the coffee at the Italian place is awesome. Note re parking reservation that wasn’t clear before arrival. The place is definitely an establishment and definitely still has a bit of an old school dated vibe esp in the rooms but if you are down for an authentic experience it’s definitely on top end of what’s available Definitely would stay again

Very impressive please. Hotel is situated 20 minutes from the Airport. You can organize transfer. Destination is very impressive full of wide beach line and endless Baltic sea. Hotel is 5 star, and situated are first line of the beach. There are lots of service and place for you and your children. Strongly recommend it.

What is good: This hotel has one of the nicest locations in Jūrmala, right at the beach, and most of room have a see view. In summer season access to private beach with beach chairs is included in the price. Breakfast is marvelous with huge selection (even gluten free bread), and the rooms spacious with balconies. Most of staff is very nice and helpful, especially some of the young people who probably just help in summer. Spa area very nice and quite calm (time reservations required). Great for kids: has small playground and good food selection. What should be improved: the interior is not exactly 5* anymore. The rooms are clean, but the fittings are outdated, more 90s or early 2000’s. Balcony was not particularly clean and there were spider webs. There is quite a Russian wibe as many of the staff speak within themselves in Russian and likely the management is Russian. However, especially the young people all were fluent in Latvian and English and spoke the customer’s language. The only unkind staff was the guy with glasses at the beach bar who appeared tired and not friendly. The beach bar should have less music, that was a bit too load. And, super expensive both the beach bar and the restaurant, so make sure to take your purse. Overall: great place with kids for a couple of days in hot summer if you don’t have problems with money and feeling a bit towards East from Latvia.

My stay was ruined by the horribly rude front desk staff. I will never stay here again. They tried double charging me for a spa treatment and I had to argue with them about it for 20 minutes almost missing my taxi to the airport. Hotel rooms are also really dated. Pillows terrible. Massage was just okay. Spa staff were kind.

EDIT: LEAKING ROOF. Roof started leaking in the main hall of block B/C. 5 star hotel with a leaking roof!! This place is not a 5 star hotel. Unless you got a superior room with ocean view you are screwed. The other rooms are basement like soviet era style. It is very loud and even the staff acknowledged the problem in my room. Despite this I was offered a new room only for a surcharge. A 5 star hotel that can’t afford goodwill on a small surcharge with Bentley cars in the parking lot? Cmon. Also, everything costs extra and you’re not told it costs extra. You have to read booklets or ask staff on everything that may have a potential cost. This place is a disgrace. Avoid at all cost.

Stunning location and facilities, but you get a rather unpleasant feeling that in this hotel they are trying to milk money from you for just about every little thing. On a weekend, in a 5 star hotel, having 2/3 of a swimming pool reserved for private trainings is just not acceptable...

Just excellent! All service is on TOP. If Riga forgot how to celebrate, Jurmala - never. If you want a real feast of body and soul - go to this hotel

The whole experience was ruined by unprofessional and impolite staff. Terrible experience with parking: we went to SPA and spent over €300, the parking is supposed to be free if you spend over €70. First, they asked me to pay €25 for parking and when I’ve learnt that the parking is free, they asked me to run from one floor to another collecting some stamps???!!! While looking at us like we are asking for pittance! What kind of system is this? And what kind of attitude is that? Even though we really enjoyed the massage experiences and pool, it felt like we didn’t relax at all cause of all of this stress. Absolutely horrible!!

My Wife Ilona recently stayed at this Lovely luxurious hotel. This is a Fantastic location for a relaxing and pampered break, being directly on the beach. Excellent service from friendly and helpful staff, who went out of their way to make her stay memorable. She was made to feel welcomed and valued as a guest from the moment she arrived until the second she left. She will definitely be returning Without question a real 5* experience

I have a few complaints as to why I leave a 1 star review. 1. Unprofessional hotel and staff. I had to leave the hotel prior to my original departure date, and I researched with the reception twice if I would get charge back of the nights I would not stay. I was informed I would get charge back, the hotel call me back two days later and tell me I wont get a charge back, and that there has been a mistake. The receptionist was nice and helpful, but a 5-star hotel cant be making mistakes like this, all I got for compensation was a 1 night gift card, where I had 2 weeks to use? 2. "The Garden Lux SPA" 99 Euro. I chose this program, and it was unfortunately not very good. Actually a bit bad. I was the only one there, and it shows because the Hammam room was cold, even the "table" had barely no heat. 70% humidity, but the air was dry. Bad smell too. And apperantly its a self-service hammam... U get a bucket with some foam and water? Same with the clay, you get put into a room with a small plastic cup of clay lol. The sauna had no live fire either as advertised. Felt like the entire thing was turned on just minutes before. Im sure the regular spa was good, but didnt have time to go. 3. The room was nice and spacious, although a bit weird the toilet was seperate from the shower / sink. A bit annoying to leave one room and go to another just to wash your hands :-)))

I recently visited a spa that left much to be desired. Despite the hefty ticket price, the absence of beer and a lack of a proper chilling area made the experience less than enjoyable. The unwelcome surprise of kids’ swimming training added to the overall dissatisfaction. A suggestion for the management: a spa should offer relaxation, not frustration.

We were not satisfied with the room at first, but then we were allowed to move to the seventh floor and had a fantastic view. Everything was great, especially the spa area is fabulous, and the treatments as well as massages were very good. We had a great stay and will hopefully have the Chance to come back.

Worst hotel experience in my entire life.. 1. Bedsheets got cum and piss stains on them. 2. Dust all over the room 3. Shower and toilet dirty and smelly. On top of all that I caught a nail infection from showering there.. Stay away from this hotel if you don't want a nightmare of a stay.
