Saw this place on many forums being very praised and hyped about and was honestly so dissapointed. Peoples reviews made it seem like theres wooden trails everywhere ,but they are only in short distances and some stairs. Everything else is just mud trails. Theres nothing significant about the place except a small lake and a lookout tower. You can also rent some winter sport equipment. Otherwise just a forest, which is totally fine,but its nothing special to go 30+ km outside riga. You can enjoy same kind of place just outside city. I dont understand how this place was more praised and mentioned than Sigula or Ķemeri national park... Maybe in summer its okay place,but theres so much better options where to go that this seems like a least interesting one.

Good recreational park for outdoor hikes and walks. You can visit the large watch tower on the top of the hill, you can bring your kids for the adventure trail amongst the tree tops. Or enjoy a picnic near the large quarry filled with beautiful blue water.

Great walk in the forest, ig not windy, reccomend to climb up to the watch tower.

Amazing place for long hiking, bike riding/skiing, bird watching, picnic and even swimming. Forest of full of wild birds, so equipment with you! Or just use your best hiking boots and go on adventure. Near the lake are special grills where you can make your own food. Please be aware that it is forbidden to make fires on the ground in this nature park. Take a couple of friends and swimsuit with you, because inside the forest is hidden huge natural water reserve! Be aware that there are no beach patrol, so be careful when you are swimming. Overall amazing nature place to visit, take a mosquito repellant with you, because they will be biting hard! Advise to visit it during summer to ride on a bike or during winter for skiing experience!
