It is not my first time trying Sarku Japan in Potomac Mills. I ordered a Teriyaki Steak and Shrimp. I asked for fried rice, (+$0.50) and it was not bad. I would definitely expect more season and flavour on the steak and shrimp. I would also expect for them to place more steak and shrimp than the whole container being filled with rice. There was a young Hispanic lady attending everyone, but she spoke and understood English. The rest of the employees are Hispanic, my people!! Fast and friendly service. They were running low on plastic utensils; I grabbed the last one!! Overall, I was expecting a lot more from them this time.

Not the typical mall food court fast food. Surprisingly good Japanese food quickly replenished with freshly cooked pans of chicken, pork and vegetables includes Thai red peppers. White rice and noodles are included with fried rice $0.50 extra. You can add teriyaki chicken and shrimp. Ask for a sample. Portions are bigger than you might expect. Fresh made suchi is also available. Served in styrofoam containers for your leftovers. Prices are $12-$14 but you'll be taking some leftovers home with you

I ordered Shrimp and Steak,Vegetable and Fried Rice. They Charge xtra $.50 cents for the Fried Rice . I did not see fried rice so I asked them where’s the fried rice the server pointed to a brown rice . Since she charge me xtra I was expecting Fried rice not colored brown rice With nothing in it. They ripping people off charging $.50 xtra for some brown rice. Never again I come back to this place.

The meat was a little overcooked and had hard crunchy spots that were uncomfortable eating. Didn’t seem to have the flavor i was expecting.

No English. Over priced. Bad service. Not accepting American express. Advertised as 9.95. Got charged 16.79.

Yesterday I bought for lunch this plate, but honestly I couldn’t eat more very disappointed. Horrible food I do not recommend this place. Expensive and disgusting. I had to bought different food which was so much better🤢🤢 don’t waste your time and money 💴

I hesitate to even call it sushi. Sadly I ordered from uber eats and didn't see how clearly horrible this place was. The most disgusting food. Avocado was brown. Couldn't finish my meal. It had me gagging.

Absolute trash. The worst japanese i have ever had. Undercooked rice and flavorless chicken. It's hard to mess up food court japanese but they have managed to do it.

Made a purchase, I was not happy with the purchase as the food appeared to be sitting all day. Spoke with a manager, she was nasty and didn't want to assist or provide the info for the next line supervisor. I reached out to the customer service and filed a complaint with mall managment/security. They provided info and as of yet, no response from the upper managment. I will never purchase or recommend this establishment to anyone!!

The fried rice is not fried rice since it has no vegetables or egg in it its just white rice with soy sauce. The chicken teriyaki and noodles are good. Having other people from other restaurants yell their order over the long line of customers is very unprofessional as well. Sarku Japan needs to come and check this Sarku Japan in Woodbridge and make it be authentic Japanese cuisine and a lesson of customer service.

Ordered for my mom’s birthday dinner, and they completely forgot two whole orders of sushi, forgot the yum yum sauce, and provided no soy sauce. The food they DID deliver was bland. When I tried to call (several times) they did not answer, and they have no voicemail box set up. Would not recommend.

The cook was very rude after I asked why the shrimp and rice had only 5 shrimp for 11$. The cashier counted them and told him to add more. Food was very, very bland, and the fried rice isn't fried at all. It just has soy sauce on it. RIP OFF, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

Very rude and racist very short dude on the grill, I am actually in shock! He should be fired asap!!!!!! I was told the manager is Oscar and they didn't know who the owner was!!!!!

Their chicken teriyaki is way overpriced. Their food is bland. You can be much better chicken teriyaki at Wegmans. This place is not worth it at all.

I ordered 2 number 4 one with rice and one with noodles. They were both dry no teriyaki sauce at all. The staff is very rude. I will not be dining here again. Wasted $23.

Ordered 2 beef and shrimp tarriaki with veg and noodles , spring roll and dumplings plus🥤🥤, dumplings and spring roll where dry and shrivelled up, only for the beef the meal was tasteless and it came to $32 😲🤨

sushi is good but i asked for dumplings like 9 times so far every time ive been there and theyve always been out. gyozas so good how abt yall cook that more often and u wont be out all the time

This is my favorite place to go to. I love the chicken teriyaki. And so does everyone else. They always have a line of people. But they always serve us quickly.

I am Spanish and I had the worst service here It's not a language issue it's completely idots that are not train customer service! I order a checken teriaqui with fired rice They gave me white rice I said no I spoke in Spanish I wanted white rice! They argue with me asked for 50cents more and slamed me food with disgrace rude I ask whats the mangers name they would not give it to me! I ask for there name they did not want to give it to me! This is so bad for the community and Potocam mills!! I will never come here again!!

This use to ran by Japanese and now complete staff is Spanish , doesn't understand order and doesn't know how to cook , it got worse 👎 don't waste your money, eat from somewhere else
