I have been going to John for massage therapy, on a regular basis, for at least 3 years. His personality, warmth, compassion, and professionalism makes me feel very comfortable and at ease. He uses a variety of techniques and pressures as he focuses on the trouble spots I have in that particular session. He's very intuitive as to what my body needs. He is truly the best therapist I have ever had work on me. I walk out of my sessions feeling fantastic, totally relaxed and rejuvenated He cares very much about making people feel good and it shows in every massage.

I am a new patient to Restoring Wellness Massage, I have been in pain for a very long time. I have lower back issues and sciatica, with pain starting in my lower back and going down my leg. I have been to several massage therapists over many years, dealing with this discomfort, and pain. I found John on the internet while looking for a Massage Therapist close to my home, I found Restoring Wellness Massage and read all of the wonderful Testimonials about John. I have always used women for my massages as I feel a little uncomfortable with a man, but John was very kind, professional and confident, thus I was very comfortable and impressed with his work. He worked on all of my issues and made me feel a little better when I left, I had a good night sleep as it is hard to sleep in pain. I plan on going back to John as often as I can and highly recommend him to all with any kind of discomfort or pain He listens and will help.

I found John randomly a few years ago while visiting friends and family in Richmond. I have been getting massages twice a month for 14 years now and John rates among the best. After my first massage with him, I was so impressed with his consistent, firm pressure and his friendly nature, I have continued to book him every time I visit the Richmond area. I was impressed, I called about a same day Appt, not very hopeful I’d get it. But John reached out right away and I came in that afternoon for an appt- AMAZING! There were actually a couple techniques John used that I’d never experienced before, and I’ve been to a lot of massage therapy appts. I clean homes for a living and so I have shoulder and back pain that I didnt think was really fixable, but after one session with John, I feel better and I know more about why I was in pain I learned it’s my glutes that are tight and causing most the back pain I’m experiencing, I actually feel better :-) a lot better, and my back feels loose enough that I can actually touch my toes again :-) Highly recommend!

This place is a hidden gem! I made appointment online. Super easy to check their availability. The whole place is very clean . John is very skilled professional and friendly , great massage therapist! I left feeling relaxed. I would recommend him to anyone I know.

Got my first massage by John at Restoring Wellness Massage today and it was awesome! This dude is good! I will definitely be back. I’ve only ever received massages from ladies so I was wondering if it would be awkward but John was so professional and made me feel so comfortable. The room is clean, nicely lit, and you are covered the whole time except for the areas being massaged. I asked for a massage with firm pressure and he definitely worked through some tight spots in my neck/ back with a firm but gentle hand. Great experience!
