I LOVE HA HA TONKA!! SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO HIKE AND EXPERIENCE! I have visited as much as I can and highly recommend!!! My favorite area is the waterfalls at the Island ( see attached pictures) so peaceful and the colors of the waters are Caribbean colors. Thank you!!!

Beautiful spring close to the ruins site. Decent amount of parking, about 1/8 mile hike down to the spring. Nice, flat walk with pretty scenery.

Iโ€™ve been going to Ha Ha Tonka for years and recently the Spring had been shut down for months trying to pull out gravel that had unnaturally worked itโ€™s way into the bed of the spring. Now reopened to the public after their project being completed, the Spring is like nothing Iโ€™ve ever seen before. In some spots it doesnโ€™t even look remotely similar to what it did and for the better. Itโ€™s absolutely stunning and will take your breath away. Take time to go checkout all the hard work and the beautiful spring to come from it.

Great state park. Easy in / out and getting around. Plenty of parking. Beautiful setting on the lake and the spring trail is amazing. The hiking trails are perfect for families with all levels of difficulty, and even on the hottest of days, there is plenty of shade. I highly recommend this as a day trip. Take a cooler for a picnic lunch. You will not be disappointed. Make sure to check out the castle and carriage house!

A breath taking scene of a lake and a dam built in 1830, the dense wood with a spring and spring branches. It is highly recommended for visitors. Several trails, castle and a water tower are the other spots to visit there.

Haha Tonka as a whole is beautiful, but there is something to be said about the magic the spring trails hold. They have recently poured a new concrete walking path all the way to the spring deck. Seemingly with minimal impact on the ecology. So great for pushing strollers or walking with a newly toddling baby. Great for the whole family to take some time away from devices and hike to see some breathtaking and beautiful views and make some memories. Happy hiking.

Great place and great hike! We took the Ha Ha Springs hiking trail. It was a moderate hike and there was still snow. I would only recommend folks who have hiked alot to take this trail. It's very steep.

Great place, beautiful views. Reason for 3 stars was that this whole section of the park is currently closed so you could not get close. Picture is from when you could get close

We visited in the fall, and there was some color, although many trees had lost their leaves. The path to the spring is mostly nice, but there's a weird section where you have to squeeze between wet slippery rocks, and certainly wouldn't be accessible to wheelchairs and such. I got so intent on looking at the views that I walked off one of the steps on the boardwalk, and sprained my ankle. We wanted to look at the Island Trail, but it was enough work to have to walk 1/2 mile back to the car with my injury. It was rather crowded on a Tuesday afternoon when we stopped by on a road trip from Springfield to St. Louis.
