👍👍 What a great place to have fun. I never expected it to be so peaceful and fun at the same time. Friendly staff. Great price. I live just a few miles away. I have family coming to see me and I will be suggesting this to them. People often mention lake, time, nice, room,

I stayed at the campground. The sites were level and very well kept. Our view at site #B40 was wonderful. We had a beautiful view of the lake, easy walking to the lake on a path, and the swim beach was close. The shower house was nice and had hot water a big plus in my book. Park rangers were awesome. Very friendly. The police would drive thru several times daily and in the evening. Would highly recommend this campground and would stay again.

Stayed in cabin that could accommodate six people. You can see the lake from the cabin but the trees need some serious trimming for a better view. Built in bench seat on deck faces the cabin not the lake. It would be better to remove this and add a couple of comfortable chairs facing the lake and move the table over against the rail instead of against the cabin. An accessible pathway from each cabin down to the marina would be great also.

Excellent getaway location. The look is rustic and maybe older, but the cleanest cannot be beat. The staff are the friendless you will ever encounter. Family fun, boating fishing are all part of the great place.

I always have fun at the Bucksaw Point Resort and Marina. Lodging was nice. The view was nice. The only problem I had was with getting my room cleaned or trash taken out. I really see fresh towels after I requested them.

Such a quant little place! Tucked up in the woods right off the water, what more could you ask for? Everything you would need for a relaxing getaway. Beautiful Marina, restaurant on sight and the wildlife was abundant! We saw Eagles, Armadillo and Deer just to name a few. The biggest part of it for us was that they were "Pet Friendly", well..... That's why I'm only giving 4 stars. So when you pull up the amenities on Google, it says "pets are welcome" nothing more. When you pull up the Bucksaw Resort website there is no information at all about pets. I informed the lady I spoke with on the phone to make reservations that we're traveling with our dog. Was told that's fine but there is an extra $20 non refundable pet fee, nothing else was said. That's awesome it's $50-$75 on average at most places. However..... Upon arrival we are informed and had to sign an agreement saying we would pick up after, keep on leash all the norm. Here comes the kicker. And the dog must not be left unattended at any time, well of course not I would never let my little dog wander around a strange place without us. "NOT EVEN IN THE ROOM!" I say to the lady at the front desk, "so I brought her kennel, I can put her in the kennel and leave her in the room right?" To which she replies, "no I'm sorry but not at all, animals cannot be left unattended at any time, not even in a kennel in your room." So how do we go swimming? Or fishing? Or enjoy the lovely place that Bucksaw Resort is? All she could tell me is sorry that's the policy, someone has to attend to the dog at all times. We still had a great time, comfy little room. I wish the pet room was on the other side of the building. At least we could have looked at the lake while we stayed in the room with the dog lol. If our dog wasn't 14 years old with a bad heart, and it wasn't 100+ degrees out, we could have had her outside with us. But instead we got to sit on the hill overlooking the lake, which was beautiful for a couple minutes at a time until the dog couldn't take it and we had to get her back in the room in the ac. Once it got dark we did get to go out for a little longer and about 100 yards up the road was a couple picnic tables overlooking the lake from a high bluff that was absolutely stunning. This is totally not a "bad review" just information for the next traveler with a furry family member. We would highly recommend this place, the RV part of the resort looked very nice and if you had your animals in your own RV there wouldn't be a problem I'm sure. But as far as the lodge, I'd find other arrangements if you're looking for a safe place to let the dogs relax while you enjoy yourselves. If you plan on having your dog out with you enjoying the outdoors as well, it's a great option. However it's not practical for us. Like I told the wife tho, at least when we go back we will always have memories there of her with us even if she's not! Bucksaw Resort is a beautiful place and we will be back when we have more time to enjoy it!

We didn't stay at the resort but stayed in the campground in our camper. C loop spot 56, it was a nice pull through spot that allowed a view of the interior of the campground, a big open space. Campground was clean, tons of wildlife and nice amenities. The marina was nice, boat ramp was large and nicely maintained.

We will be going back. That's an awesome place. Had a lot of fun. Spent two days two nights didn't catch many fish. I think we had five crappie but that was our first time there but we loved it. Room was clean. Really enjoyed ourselves!
