Under no circumstances should anyone visit this dentist. Aspen dental provides harmful and borderline negligent care. Their business practice and organization is scummy and suspect. In the coming days I will be filing a report with Missouri's Dental Border and other relevant reporting bodies. I take my local guide status seriously and mainly leave positive reviews and I am hope that my reputation on maps will highlight how bad this dental practice is. I don't often post negative reviews but I owe a responsibility to let people know how terrible this practice is. Here is my story: A month ago I visited for my regular 6 month appointment, I got my teeth cleaned then X-rayed there was no problem with this. Then the Dentist came in, he looked at the X-rays on the computer, looked at my teeth real quick, then went back to the computer whispered a few things to the dentist about what had been done. He did not talk to me did not introduce himself, as he was leaving the hygienist stopped him and asked if he wanted to tell me what was going on. The dentist then told me I would need a few crowns and a few filings. They then rushed me to payment both to schedule these crowns which required a 50% down payment to schedule the appointment. I left the office. The next day I went to another dentist and they said I only need fillings. I am assuming that they are putting young people in crowns and charging them a lot of money when they DO NOT need them and they end up with a system. I have overhead other young people having issues with their crowns. Here is another persons story: They go in to get a filling. During the procedure they nick another tooth so that it has a hole in it, they do not repair it. After some tooth pain they go to another dentist and discover this mistake. What type of dentist makes a mistake and does not fix it. Its the type of dentist that just sees you for your money and wants to get more from you. That doesn't sound right. If this business isn't illegal already, then it should be. Here is my experience with their billing: I was whisked quickly away to the payment area, but when I first entered the office they said I had a payment due. This was especially odd given that they had been mailing me a bill (I was also surprised by this because I paid in full at the Office) I eventually gave in and paid this online, and when I came into the office they claimed I still had a payment due. I relented and paid this as well. I know other people who have had a similar experience. Also it seems like every time I go in there is someone talking to the office about a billing issue and it feels like they are extorting vulnerable people with tooth issues which raises serious ethical questions. Experience with scheduling: This office is so poorly run, there is either a long wait or their system is off. The first appoint I waited in the office for 2 hours before being taken to an alternate waiting room for another hour, and this point I should have never gone back.  4 hour total for a <30 min exam. Other notable events: They don't use a topical before injecting the numbing shot so which is much more uncomfortable that with the topic. Some dental rooms that are someone dirty. This dentist sees you as money, they do not care about you as a patient. One person went in at her scheduled appointment time and they said oh we just sent you an automated text, the hygienist won't be here for 30 mins. Their system needs to be fixed. Please do not go here. You can see all the other bad reviews here and nothing has changed. Also if you do see the other reviews you will see that they have a response from the ADMI or their management saying they are sorry about the bad experience and how to contact them and it will be signed by some random name. Clearly nothing gets done. If you see this and it helps your decision not to go here please give it a like so that other people can see it. I would hate for anyone else to fall victim to this companies practices.

Leaving this review on behalf of my grandmother. My grandma has been here twice the first the time she went she left in tears because the hygienist embarrassed her and made her feel bad about herself and her oral hygiene. Her being a Medicare patient and this being one of the few Medicare offices in town she went back a second time. The second she did not even see the hygienist because they were “behind schedule”. All she had done was a prophy and her posterior teeth did not even get cleaned. Not to mention the did not floss either. The assistant made her feel uncomfortable and like an inconvenience. As a dental assistant myself I will be going to her future appointments with her to make sure she gets the proper care she deserves!

mixed emotions here. What you probably really want/need to know is the service was good, the dentist was kind and knowledgeable. My biggest problem was the cost. They charge nearly 3x what it should have and would have cost at another dentist...... so here is what happened. I recently moved.... so I was not close to my past regular dentist. At 5:30pm on a Thursday, with only 1 business day left before Christmas..... one of my crowns fell off. I did not want to go through the whole weekend and into the next week like that (Christmas was on a Monday) (we were going to have a prime rib dinner after all that I did NOT want to miss out on). So I called around and called around to find someone to simply "cement" the crown back on. It was on a tooth that had a root canal, so I did not even need the pain control or anything. Just "cement" it on. The plus is that Aspen did come through. They got me in to do it (only took about 10 mins) (though more than an hour wait from when they told me to get there) on that Friday.... when everyone else was closed that day. But the negative is that they charged me about 3x (300%) what it should have cost. To be fair, it was a walk in "emergency" service...... so I can't complain to much. But if you want my honest opinion..... there it is....

I came in a couple days after I had 2 molar extractions done, cuz I was having trouble with my existing partial. They were hurting my mouth. The teeth that hooked to it were now gone. A nice, young man, Jackson, came in the room and was amazing. I didn't even have to see the Dr. He cleaned out my extraction holes real well, cut the metal loops that used to go around the teeth and worked with my existing partials until they fit very well and most importantly, didn't hurt me anymore. Here's the kicker, they now weren't holding on to any teeth but were still very secure and not moving at all in my mouth. Glad to hear that Jackson is currently studying to be a Dentist himself, with his gentle bedside manner along with solving my issue that day, I would recommend Aspen Dental to anyone. Thank you guys I'm looking forward to my new beautiful smile!!

This was my first time with Aspen Dental but it wont be my last, It was a really good experience with professional people that went above and beyond the normal care at most dentist... Awesome people all the way around!! Highly recommended if you need dental care.

Most of the time I have been into Aspen Dental it has been a good experience. This last time though was terrible. The dentist I had jammed the needle in my mouth with no numbing gel. It took almost four hours to pull two teeth and prep teeth for two bridges. By the time I had temporary caps in my mouth was no longer numb and any extra grinding done was without much Novocain. The reason I will be returning is to see how well my bridges turn out but I’m extremely upset with this experience. I felt ignored and my proper care was not of importance. I will review again after my teeth cleaning and placement of bridges. Hopefully I will be able to give a better review.

All of the staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. I love that I can get in quick if I am having any pain. I have been going to Aspen dental for a few years and would definitely recommend them for quality and affordable care. They also have lots of payment options which saved me today. Thanks!

Find somewhere else to go. I know that’s easier said than done since it seems like good dental care is few and far between but this place is a joke like so many others have stated in their negative reviews. I had an appointment on Wednesday December 6th at 8:30am for which I got a text to confirm, reschedule or cancel. I clicked confirmed and arrived. Only to be told by the receptionist they canceled my appointment because I did not give a verbal confirmation, and that I’d have to reschedule. I literally responded to the text message by clicking confirm but they still removed me from the schedule. I have two insurances that would’ve paid handsomely so they really just duked themselves. Before I could even go to the desk there was a lady in front of me being told they’d have to collect payment up front before being seen even though she had insurance since they couldn’t confirm her insurance. So basically they can’t do their jobs which is insurance verification so they pass the bill on to the patients. Plus, if they couldn’t get her in why couldn’t I have got her appointment? Because obviously it’s poorly managed and I’m glad I didn’t let them touch my mouth because from other reviews sounds like it could’ve started problems. I can’t speak on the dentists though because I never got to see one after having a scheduled appointment. Thank God I don’t have any problems with my mouth as I only wanted a cleaning which I was told they’d have to give me an exam for (sketch). I’ll take my pearly whites elsewhere. I feel for those who are having issues and have to take this kind of care. If they respond saying they don’t know who I am it’s because they took me off the schedule. Beware!

I recently got new dental insurance and was referred to Aspen Dental by my insurance company. I was having some pain in a tooth that had received a root canal some years ago. Upon my first visit I was told that I need the tooth extracted, a couple small fillings, and a cleaning. When I went in for my tooth extraction the dentist was very nice and personable. He extracted my tooth but left a part of the root still in the socket because "it was too close to my sinuses", and he didn't want to be responsible for a trip to the hospital. Understandable, I guess. I went home and have been in pain for a week now. I went back for my cleaning, also a good experience with the staff and company. After the cleaning I went home and realized one of my crowns was loose and practically falling off (due to the cleaning). It did eventually come off, and in the morning I left work to run by Aspen to have the crown glued back on, as suggested by Aspen Dental Corporate office. No appointment necessary, I was told. I arrived at the office and explained my situation. The office manager told me that they were unable to help me until late next week... So, now I have an exposed tooth needing to be recapped on one side, and a painful gaping hole on the other. Eating is difficult and painful. I think I will be looking for a dentist office that can help me in these types of situations. All this has left me with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth..

I got right in at my appointment time. I had a thorough examination. All the people were polite and friendly. My treatment plan was explained to me and next appointment set up soon. I was very pleased so far.

👍👍 I came in and didn't have anything together but they were very understanding and welcoming even though I should've been ready. The doctor and nurses were very cool! I will definitely come back.
