This park has miles of walking and hiking trails. Some are paved. Guide signage keeps you from getting lost. The scenery is beautiful and sometimes even includes wildlife. It's set on an old farm so there are still historic buildings where they also sometimes hold educational programs about life back in the day. There's a canoe launch and near the park entrance there is a disk golf course that's very popular and a volleyball court. Some areas are set up for overnight camping. And most importantly, real bathrooms with running water.

My absolute favorite "backyard" park in Alamance County, anytime of year. Two disc golf courses, large children's playground, fishing pond, historic learning farm, several historic buildings, multiple bathroom facilities throughout, a centrally located office with a team of rangers that can answer questions/help you get discs unstuck from trees, volleyball net, and tons of picnic areas/shelters. The larger shelters can be reserved online and during the winter, your reservation pretty much lasts all day. Reserved shelters have multiple trash cans and there are always staff nearby if you have questions or issues. All of this not to mention miles of hiking/equestrian trails with varying scenery, including ponds, creeks, a gazebo, rocky climbs (the park sits on an ancient mountain range that cuts through central NC), and the iconic historic dam that flows like a waterfall when the river/creek are high. It's so easy to spend any amount of time in this park and it would take a week to see/explore every part of it. It has something for every person at every age. The open hours vary by season but I would plan on packing up and rolling out by dusk. Both disc golf courses are awesome. The beginner course near the entrance is mostly open (not much tree cover) and is beautiful but challenging enough for a beginner/intermediate player. The Wellspring course near the back is wooded except for the last 3 holes, and is more challenging but both are really fun. The hiking trails range from easy to somewhat challenging, based on length and technical skill required. They are mostly single track and pretty good for trail running (in fact there's a 7mi/14mi trail race here every year), but they're mostly used for hiking. I absolutely love this park and recommend everyone visit it at some point, as often as possible.

Very nice park/trails. What I like most about it this place is the historical significance - that it was once a working farm with the buildings still standing. I also really enjoy seeing the farm animals up close. Read the signs and you will get a better feeling of what this farm was really like. The trails are marked fairly well but do not take advantage of the views of the ponds. Most of the trails are in the woods. We went on the Spoon Branch (blue) trail to the Connector (White) trail. It was great until we had to turn back on the white trail because it became a swamp. Tip - go to the furthest parking lot - the playground and views of a pond are better than you get at the first pond. But don’t forget to go back and see the farm buildings and animals. Great Disc golf course. Horses are allowed. And dogs (of course) on leashes. Trail maps are provided by signs.

Lovely trails, though some spots could use better marking. As of late November 2023, our very dry fall means the falls at the old dam are also dry, if that is part of the appeal.

Highly recommend Cedar Rock Park! We did the Spoon Branch trail first, which was wooded and followed a little creek for a lot of the trail. We then did the connector trail to Rock Creek trail, which was definitely my favorite. It had some hills, rocks to climb by the creek, and then of course the beautiful Mill “waterfall!” We ended up doing around 4 miles. The trails were well-labeled and maintained; I’ll definitely be back to see it once it’s green!

I’ve been visiting Cedarock for years to ride. It’s close and a short nice ride. The trails are good for getting horses in shape. BUT..as time goes on the trails are in need of maintenance. I also don’t like that hikers share the horse trails. People coming up unseen or heard is spooky to horses. Dogs that aren’t use to the horses are spooky and some times dangerous bc owners are having to hold them back from going after us. Considering there are hiking trails, it would be nice if horse trails were left to horses. Apart from that, the parking area is large and nice. It does fill up on the weekends, in the morning hours during summer. The trails are doable for barefoot horses that aren’t sensitive to some rocks. There are water and bridge crossings and many hills. Don’t go if it’s rained recently bc the trails are muddy and slippery. Again, it’s a great place to ride but needs proper trail maintenance so the land doesn’t get messed up and horses don’t get injured due to slippery spots (especially in the beginning part after rain).

Cedarock Park easily gets 5 stars off its sheer size and numbers of things to do alone. There's something for everyone. They've got volleyball, a lake for fishing, a playground, a soccer golf course, tons of trails, a waterfall, an old historic homestead, animals, and my favorite part, TWO disc golf courses. This is a park you can take the whole family over and over again and still have a great time!

We hiked to to waterfall, not a big hike at all, and walked around the park. It was so beautiful. We wanted to make it back to walk some of the trails, but didn't get back. On our list for our next visit to the area!

Enjoyable hike on trails with plenty of shade. Just beware of where you step... some dog owners not cleaning up after Fido! And snakes were on trail.

Went for hiking/dog walking. Very clean and well maintained paths. Love the waterfall from the dam. Wish there was a bit more signage on the trails of "you are here" to help newbies but will definitely be back! Kayak launch looked like a good time but may be a bit of a struggle for those dragging kayaks to and from the launch due to steep hill.

This park is big and has so much to offer! You can visit the historic "farm" with goats and sometimes sheep. Clyde the mule may be out to greet you as well. He likes attention as do the goats. There is also a lake, disc golf course, hiking trails (one has a man-made waterfall), kayak rentals, a sand volleyball court, basketball hoops, picnic shelters, picnic tables with grills, and even a playground with a little free library nearby. Once every three weeks the Alamance County Mobile library also stops by. There are horses alongside the road before entering the park itself. Visit the park office for rentals. It is a nice place for everyone.

One of my fave local parks… it has a bit of everything: hiking trails, trail rides {horses}, camping, fishing pond, picnic shelters, farm animals and old historical farm building, disc golf, volleyball nets, a jungle gym with large set and tot area, paths along the river, a “waterfall” {it’s not really but who doesn’t like a flowing water feature} and so on. Stop and get breakfast, lunch or early dinner and Ruby’s grill located in the 76 gas station near the road to the park. Friendly service there & decent food. They sell bait too.

We visited to check out the hiking trails here. There are plenty of options! Additionally, there are restrooms near the parking lot that are kept very clean. Definitely recommend!

I think I'm just always so happy to be away from the style of civilization we have built, the people that it fosters, and the god(s) that it has created that every hiking trail will always get a 5 star review. I can say the trails are well marked, the bathroom is more than an outhouse, the trails intercont, and are mostly loops. There is enough trail to keep you hiking most of the day without going back over the same ground, but it is relatively flat and during summer fairly muddy and soft. Cane Creek Mountain down the road a few miles will offer a more challenging hike if that's what you're up to that day and the friendly park personnel are likely to recommend.

We love this park! There are so many trails to walk through. They have animals you can go see as well. History buildings, waterfalls, they even have places to play basketball, Frisbee golf and more.

Amazing park tucked away in Alamance County. So many things to do in one place. Great heavily wooded campsites that are easily accessible from nearby parking. Picnic grills are not at the campsites but they do have them at the picnic areas nearby. Disc golf x 2, foot golf, playground, picnic shelters, canoe launch, volleyball and basketball courts plus horseback riding and a historic farm. Made for a great weekend. The only downside is that there are no showers or easily accessible water for campers but we made it work.

We've come back for the foot golf course and enjoyed other aspects every time. Beautiful property. Clean bathrooms and places to picnic. Lots to see and do for the whole family. A playground for the littles and Frisbee golf and more for the older ones. Worth the drive from Durham.
