😠 Their groomers completely butchered my Bernedoodle. The first cut was fabulous, Dawn did that cut. The second one we were confident would be the same…it was exactly the opposite. She was sent back like she had been cut with a lawnmower. She also had a bloody foot due to clipping her nails too short.... People often mention time, Long, baby, Animal, care, staff, Hospital, vets, years, told,

Their groomers completely butchered my Bernedoodle. The first cut was fabulous, Dawn did that cut. The second one we were confident would be the same…it was exactly the opposite. She was sent back like she had been cut with a lawnmower. She also had a bloody foot due to clipping her nails too short. She’s also scared to death. So we are anticipating her being scared moving forward whenever she has to be groomed. Thanks so much Kate. First 2 photos are 1st cut last photos are the hack job. If it’s not already obvious.

Incredibly slow service. When you check in you’ll often see 6+ workers gathered around check in desk, but tons of dogs waiting to be seen. When I was finally taken back to the room, the tech said the vet would be here shortly. I’ve been in the room an hour now and vet still hasn’t come to see us. My dog is also very anxious. One vet here was amazing with him and took her time to get him comfortable but majority of techs and vets have been impatient with him and dragged him on leash to get him to get on scales, etc. which hasn’t helped.

I have been taking my Schnauzer here for 12 years. Dr. Brown (the only Veterinarian we have ever seen) is very caring, takes the time to thoroughly examine her and truly tries to understand/figure out any issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Brown. The staff is pretty efficient with checking patients in and getting you to a room. They now are a 24 hour emergency hospital. I recently had a friend that had to put their dog down due to serious health issues and she said Long's was amazing for what is just a horrible situation. Long's quickly got them in a private room, calmed the dog and let them have the time they needed until they were ready to let their baby go. She said the Dr. Heinen was really gentle and sweet through the whole ordeal.

Thank you for your kindness today when I had to have my 14 year old Jasper euthanized. Thanks Dr Brian for supporting my decision. Jasper was a crazy man when he was younger, Jack Russell, he will be missed. Thanks to the staff for being so kind. I have always loved Long Animal, thanks again. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Sherry Elliott

Excellent veterinarians! Dr. Gibson, other vets and icu staff at long animal hospital have been wonderful. I highly recommend their services and prices are reasonable. My little Fiona has gotten the best care from them. Best vets i have ever had in all 12 years of having my Maltese. Thank you!

My dog was acting very abnormal one night, so I called Long Animal Hospital around 11pm during their emergency hours and told them what was going on. They said they needed to examine her to confirm, but thought it was bloat. I took her there immediately and they confirmed it was bloat and that she needed immediate surgery in order to survive the night. They took her immediately into surgery and explained everything to me including the risks involved. She survived the surgery and they set the right expectations of what I had to do in order to ease her recovery at home. They did a great job, even under the circumstances, and I will forever be grateful!

Every vet we have seen at this practice has provided compassionate care to our three dogs. They have been extremely communicative about changes to their schedules/staffing etc during the pandemic but the quality of care and staff friendliness has not been negatively impacted. Thank you for taking such great care of our dogs.

I don’t know how this place gets bad reviews. I’ve been here twice so far. Once because I found a dog and they scanned for a microchip and was kind, patient, and helped with the dogs stress level. Second time was today. I found a kitten a couple weeks ago and she was doing very well. Until yesterday afternoon. She started getting ill quickly and I was very concerned because she’s so tiny. Called and they didn’t have any appointments left for the day. But offered a walk-in but couldn’t guarantee a wait time. Well it was about a 15-20 min wait and I was seen. They treated Ash very kindly and was only doing the necessary tests and medications. Ash is already feeling like herself again. She’s starting to play and eat a bit. I would highly recommend this place for vet care. They’re prices are fair, they always try to accommodate. And the staff is positive and friendly. Thank you Long Animal Hospital 🏥 😻

I took my cat in to Long Animal Hospital when our vet couldn't see him over the weekend. We ended up needing x-rays and having to sedate an unhappy cat to take them. The vet was very patient with my long list of questions. He explained everything thoroughly and clearly to me. He showed me the x-rays, talked me through what he was seeing, and even took an extra one from another angle to be sure we were seeing the best view. In all, I spent about 3 hours there (some little wait time, some time waiting for my sedated cat to shake off the anesthesia). I never felt rushed or forgotten. The vet and the techs checked in with me, updated me on my cat's progress, and gave me excellent, honest information. What's more, we went home with "watch and see" instructions. I called back over the next few days when unclear how to react to the cat's slow bounce-back. I was able to leave messages with the vet we'd seen, and he called me back quickly and spent time patiently talking over the signs and options with me. Again, I never felt rushed. Having a sick pet is a stressful experience at its root, and Long Animal Hospital helped ease the stress and worry.

Our dog was attacked and very badly hurt from the neighbors dog, we called every urgent care vet around and they would not be able to help immediately until we called long vet. They not only worked us into there very tight schedule, but made time to meet us at the road to take our dog inside and start working on him asap. I would mention staff members by name, but every person, from the doctor to the janitor, was top notch friendly and helpful. They gave us constant updates and made sure we understood everything they did. I cannot recommend them enough. It was a hour and 20 minute drive to get there and we would go again no questions asked. Lastly, they told us upfront about the bill and it came in under what we expected. We are very thankful for places like long veterinary. I hope this never happens to your pet, but if it does there’s no other place I would go. Thank you again for the help.

I typically will try to book an appointment with Dr. Brian, who knows my dog's history, but he didn't have an appointments available. I'm always nervous about seeing a new vet, but yesterday I took my high anxiety bulldog in and we saw Dr. Yasin. He has an amazing beside manner and was so thorough with my sister and I about her treatment. After having to be on oxygen due to breathing issues, he gave her a sedative and we were able to get her home without more breathing issues arising. I was very happy with the visit and would highly recommend Dr. Yasin. It was so reassuring to have someone take their time in their explanations and to put our minds at ease.

I am so disappointed with Long Animal Hospital!!!!! We spoke to the staff there about boarding our dogs, Bentley and Mia months in advance. We called yesterday, Oct. 25th to take them on Wednesday, Nov. 1st. We were told YESTERDAY, not months again that they needed their flu shot, so we wanted to bring them in to have the shots given to them and we were told that it had to be done a month ahead of time. No one, no one ever told us this until YESTERDAY. We had to scramble, hours on the phone calling other places to put our dogs up so that we can make it to a very important engagement we had planned for months now in Florida. Long Animal Hospital needs to train their staff better...... I will not go through this again, I will no longer take my fur babies there for any reason. THANK YOU TO "ANIMAL MEDICAL HOSPITAL AND 24 URGENT CARE" on Monroe Road, for helping us in boarding our fur babies. They will have our services from now on.

I'm surprised by any negative reviews. Stand for Animals referred me to Long since getting timely appointments at Stand for Animals was very hard. I needed to start seeing a vet that I could actually see. I've been going to Long for almost two years. They act like a proper vet's office. I usually get a non-emergency appointment within 48 hours of calling. My dog is 14 years old with many health issues, and I can speak and see a vet when needed. I've gotten callbacks the same day, even late in the day. I am confident the vets are looking out for my dog's best interest, helping my negative his senior health problems. My dog received a dental cleaning that was very much needed, and he was quickly in and out of surgery which was a great experience. I didn't want my 14-year-old dog under anesthesia for very long

The first trip was wrong diagnosis. The antibiotics made my fur baby worse. I brought him to Long Animal Hospital again the next morning after feeding him water the whole night using a soft tube. I told them the reactions after taking the strong drug they prescribed. The ICU lady came and told me to have more test and IV fluid. I agreed all. About an hour later, the vet came, told me a new diagnosis, which I understood because there was a different test done the day before. But to my surprise they did not give my baby the IV fluid as the ICU lady and I had agreed upon about an hour ago. I requested to see my baby and they brought him in. The doctor kept telling me I need to do another test that he was so confident that my baby had this hormone deficiency decease based on the blood work and kept saying IV fluid would not to cure him. After they wasted another day to save my baby who was very stressed and dehydrated, I asked to be with my baby during the treatment. If we take our human baby to see the doctor, we are with them all the time. Why are we not allowed to be with our fur baby when they are in critical condition? I ended up taking him to another urgent care that allows us to stay with our pets. After reviewing the test results from the Long Animal Hospital and an ultrasound, the vet said if he was her baby she would put him down. I asked the vet to help him hydrate and buy him more time. I am not a vet, but my common sense tells me saving my baby is not Long Animal Hospital’s interest. Getting us to agree on more tests and a long term treatment plan is their goal.

We love Long! We have been taking our puppy here since we got him in August. All the vet technicians, receptionists and vets we have come in contact with are all very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and compassionate. We have not come in contact with a bad employee yet. They seem to be very well staffed too. The wait times never seem to be too long, and we can get an appointment quickly, and they also have walk in hours. I saw some reviews say they are too expensive. This is our first dog and the only vet we have been too, but they don't seem too expensive, and they don't try to oversell us on anything

I was not going to do this as I have used this animal hospital for over 20 years. My recent experience here was way less than stellar. My dog went in for a mass removal two weeks ago and it was not performed and no apology was received for their screw up. They did a dental and some skin tag removals that were incidental. We returned today to have her mass removed and paid as much as our original quote after paying $500 last time for the dental and things. Also, when I arrived they had scheduled her for a dental again despite it already having been done. When picking her up the technician did not know that she did not have stitches to remove when giving discharge instructions. This place has gotten too big to give the personalized care that they used to give. I felt disregarded by my concerns and belittled for even questioning their mistake.

all the words in this world cannot fully express the gratitude of my heart for the noble support, love for animals, professionalism that wonderful people and great professionals Dr. Bill Gibson and Dr. Zach Chillag have shown me. I wish them only the brightest and most joyful days in their lives. Sincerely, Julia and Mark. ❤️

I’ve been going here for over 10 years. Over the last couple of years the prices have tripled. It’s sad really. This place helped 2 of my cats transition & they were so compassionate at the time, but basic annual care for my dog is so over priced I have no choice but to take him somewhere else. The also recently lost one of their best vets. Not sure what happened to the once wonderful establishment, but it appears maybe greed is getting the better of them.

This is the only vet/animal hospital I will go to because they are amazing!! After 8 years and thousands and thousands of dollars, I took a chance on this place and immediately they figured out what was wrong with my dog. I had been to 3 other vets and this was the only place to achieve real results. My dog had a thyroid disorder and they treated him so wonderfully. They got him on a medication and he dropped 30 pounds right away, grew an undercoat that feels like silk, his skin issues went away, and he is the happiest he’s been since he was a puppy!! He’s 8 and he acts like he’s 2!! They gave him quality of life and that’s something I would have given anything for. I finally got my dog back. And he can live a full and happy life now. My only regret is that I didn’t come here sooner. They also treat my other dog and my cat with the same love and care. All of the vets on staff are wonderful, but Dr. Gibson is our favorite. He treats my pets like he would his own and I can’t thank him enough!!!

👍👍 For my thirteen year old dog, Ella, vet visits have always been extremely traumatic for her. It hasn't ever been a fault of the vets or staff I have encountered, she is simply an anxious dog with severe animal aggressions issues and she gets easily overwhelmed.
