One of our favorite playgrounds! There's a lot of space and play structures for kids to have fun. Two magnetic lock gates keep everyone in safely. There's a huge open space right next to the playground for free running around or picnics. The pier is also just a walk away and is always lovely for a stroll. The whole area is very well kept, bathrooms are clean and tidy, and it's always just a beautiful spot. The noise of the cars overhead can be a little loud so very young ones might be a little frightened by that, but it's a really fun and scenic spot!

One of the best places in Charleston to see sunset! This park has plenty of parking, there is a playground for kids, and also a bathroom and cafe. If you’re going to see sunset, take the trail that is on the left side, going in front of the Bank of America building towards the Ship side. Mind you, the sunsets are stunning but there are lots of mosquitoes and bugs. So wear covered clothes. Also saw a lot of people fishing on the pier, in case you wanna do that.

Overall: A great pier to take family and friends. The good: It's really neat to walk "under" the bridge and go out into the water a bit - it's one of the only public "piers" nearby that do that. The traffic on the bridge isn't nearly as loud as you would think. There are several sets of bathrooms and they are always clean, plus free parking. There's a good-sized playground for those with kids, and a decent amount of greenspace leading up to the pier. The pier itself is wide, clean, and well-structured. Lots of fishers come here, which is fun to watch, and you can see the USS Yorktown in the distance. If you're lucky you'll see some dolphins at the end of the pier. The not-so-good: Not much!

What a great public park this is! It features some fun playground equipment for children to play on, a beautiful grassy area for recreation, many benches (and a few bench swings) to sit and soak in the beauty, an attractive pier from which you can fish or watch the ships go by, a gorgeous view of the city of Charleston, an interesting look at the underside of Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, beautiful pieces of art placed throughout the well-maintained landscape, a memorial dedicated to war heroes, and a cafe and gift shop. Someone had the foresight to take some ordinary land at the base of a bridge and transform it into a most impressive park. Very nice!

A very nice place to relax. Also a great spot to see the foundation of the huge bridge. A lot of seats to sit in the shadow. Highly recommended if you're close, even for 15-20 minutes.

My wife and I enjoyed our day walking the Ravenell Bridge and visiting Mount Pleasant Memorial Park. Memorial Park has Fishing areas, Playground, Picknic area, Restrooms, Dog-frienlyness, and a Store-Souvenir Shop. You'll enjoy yourself, especially on a beautiful day!

I absolutely love this park. It’s clean, it’s safe. There’s security cameras up everywhere. One entrance in and out of park area. Located next to pier.. restrooms, food and gift shop.. I’ll be back every chance I get! Kid approved!

Love this park and pier. It’s always beautiful to visit this when traveling though. The Pier hosts lots of fishermen and great views of the bridge. The large parking and overflow parking is great if your driving an RV and it’s a quiet place overnight. Overall it’s a beautiful park. We love stopping by

My wife and I went during the week around 11am and parking was plenty (not sure how crowded it could get during the weekend and during the busy season). At the beginning of the park, The welcome center has nice clean restrooms and brochures for local activities. There is also an event room in the back. Walking towards the pier, there is a playground and a nice open field for picnics with plenty of shade trees. The pier itself is very nice, lots of covered seating along the way and fishing spots. At the beginning of the pier there is a gift shop with a cafe that serves coffee, sandwiches and snacks as well as fishing passes (if you want to fish off the pier). All in all, this is a great oasis and a great use of the space. It's a great way to spend some time outside and we will be visiting again, especially with visitors!

The views were amazing. We strolled here after dinner on NYE. Definitely looks like they took their time to invest in this project and the turnout shows. Unfortunately the shop was closed so we couldn't go into the building but still had a lovely time looking at the artifacts.

Good place to walk, bike, fish, take your child for a stroll or dog for a walk. Concrete pier feels solid as can be, Ravenel Bridge above is a Charleston feature not to be missed. I did not have time but U.S.S. Yorktown is also nearby

We love this pier and park. We visit it every time we come to Charleston, SC. Walking out on the pier is very nice with plenty of places to sit along the way. There are picnic tables on the pier where we often see people eating or playing games. The playground here is pretty large and uniquely themed with Charleston related items. It even appeals to bigger kids who may have outgrown other playgrounds. There are several walking paths and war memorials, a fountain, and a few art installations to check out as well. My only complaint is that it's right under the bridge overpass, so it's really loud. This also makes it really unique though.

Beautiful park and really helps its under the bridge. Really helpful on hot humid days. Playground for kids is nice with good play structures. The whole park is well layed out and nice areas talking about some of the history and dedication to the people of Mt Pleasant. The Cafe is good, nothing fancy. Has the essentials like smoothies and coffee. The walkway is great for anyone looking to fish or just enjoy the scenery. Very relaxing.

Visited this park many times and it is always clean and safe with plenty of free parking available. Nice restrooms. There is a playground and it seemed like a nice one. We love walking on the pier, the views are nice with a sea breeze. I saw some people fishing for the pier. Perfect place for watching a sunset from the pier.

This is a fun playground for our 3 year old. It's great because there is usually lots of parking. We like to walk down the dock. It's also nice that there is a bathroom and cafe nearby! It can be sort of loud with the bridge traffic overhead but it's not awful.

This place offers amazing views of the Ravenel bridge as well as the USS Yorktown ship! They offer a really cool multi aged playground for kids, and many spectacular views! It is fisher friendly with a license, and has an amazing gift shop/cafe! Bring your camera and get ready to take some amazing photos! Bring that special someone and enjoy your stroll! Have fun be safe!

As a local, first time and I must say this is a hugh park area.. no splash zone but more of an out door adventure. Many statyres and historical markers of the people that served.. You can see Charleston harbor, patriots point,, the marsh, and smell tge salty air. The Ravenel bridge, is located above this spacious geens space, also has play ground area, fishing pier, benches to sit and relax. Pet friendly. Beautiful view. Free.

Beautiful views. Great use of space that would otherwise be wasted. Incredibly clean and well maintained. Overall a great place to watch the sunset or just spend some time.

Very well kept park. The pier makes for a great walk out to the water. You can see the skyline and the USS Yorktown. We even got on a short trail from here and rode our bikes over to Patriot's Point for an even closer view. Restrooms were very clean and the visitor's center and cafe looked nice as well, but we didn't go in.

This is a great spot for a walk, bike ride, jog, overlooking Charleston Harbor. The view of the bridge above and water is stunning. Plenty of free parking, playgrounds, Veterans Memorial.

The park is under the Cooper River Bridge. We just finished walking the bridge and decided to check out the area, and there's a pier for fishing and a gift shop, and there's also a playground. Beautiful spot.

If you love to walk, fish or just chill out the waterfront is the place to go. We love the walking trails as they are so safe and peaceful. Chilling out at the pier in the shade on a hot summer Charleston afternoon also does the trick!

It has a really impressive child playground, and the scenery is perfect for relaxing or picnicking. Plus, you can enjoy a little fishing while you're at it. I totally recommend visiting.
