Lovely hotel, very upmarket. Staff really helpful and knowledgeable. Got a room with an adjoining room and was thrilled with the adjoining room as was as nice as ours, plus had a bath.

There are zero amenities in the room. The hair body wash bottle is empty in the bathroom & I called room service to refill it. Took them a while & firstly brought a bar of soap as replacement for the 3 of us. Didn't bring any hair shampoo. After a while, came back with the refill & filled it up. Poor service Breakfast buffet is so minimal, don't think it can be called as buffet. Location : an hour drive away from Geneva

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at! The staff was amazing and friendly, the stay came with a metro card which is fantastic but the hotel is also a close walk to so many great places! Upgrade to the lake view room, the view is so worth it!

I'm giving 5 stars for many reasons, but the main being the staff. I was traveling for work (Nespresso) all the way from New Zealand and I just loved talking to the staff!! So helpful, kind, and accommodating. Not to mention the hotel itself is beautiful, clean and so very comfortable To the front of house staff if you're reading this - make sure you visit NZ sometime!!

Rooms are spacious and clean. Service is professional, everyone is kind. Breakfast could be much better. It does not comply with the level of 4*.

Beautiful and spacious accommodation! One of the best hotels I had ever stayed in. Everything was really clean and lovely. Utilities were functional and worked well and the bed was very comfortable and soft. Toilet was spacious with a bathtub. Hotel also provided free buffet breakfast with a spread of food items (different kinds of ham, cheese, pastries). The front-desk staff was very friendly and polite and offered great tips and suggestions for first-time travellers to Lausanne, Switzerland. Location is great as well. The hotel is situated conveniently in the shopping district, right next to a few boutiques, and in an area which offers one a beautiful view of the lake.

Overnight business trip. No complimentary water available in the rooms. You have to use the tap water. Otherwise hotel was perfect. Rooms were clean. Pillows were good. Rooms were nice. Restaurant has excellent options for lunch.

Very nice place, located in the old city. Very polite staff. Super clean, room has air-conditioning. We had to pay a guarantee for the room, the money returned next day.

We were surprisingly pleased with our stay at Hôtel de la Paix in November, 2021. We chose to stay because of the location and level of service, but then were impressed by the quality of the room interiors (which the pictures didn't do justice to). The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful securing us a last minute reservation for dinner w/ our kids at Le Chat Noir, which was a fantastic meal. The front desk had to call many places to find a place with availability and they were happy to do so. And the location was close to everything - Restaurants of all kinds, coffee shops, the cathedral, the main sights downtown. The train station was a bit further but still just a long walk. The hotel also includes a free transit pass. I would highly recommend Hôtel de la Paix if you're staying Lausanne, a beautiful city.

Hotel was nice though felt it could be better for 4 stars. 10 minutes up a hill from the train station. Was in a good location for shopping. They only provided one large towel in bathroom so had to call to get more. Had to do this numerous times bc housekeeping kept taking my towels and not replacing them even if I didn’t leave on the floor. My room had one small window that provided very little light. Bathroom was cramped and could have been better. For a 4 star hotel, expected to receive shampoo, conditioner and body wash separately but they provided an all for one combo in the shower. Again, 4 stars should be better with this. Room was also near the elevator and I could hear everything out the door. It was super annoying especially in the middle of the night when my neighbors were being especially loud. Lausanne is great but I think I would stay in a different hotel next time.
