My girlfriend and I are regular Vapiano customers and we have been to multiple locations in many cities (London, Amsterdam, Zurich, Geneva and now Lausanne). The idea is really nice and the implementation is very similar pretty much everywhere. Food is good, staff are friendly and quite efficient and the premises and tidy and clean. However, one issue that most of these restaurants face is the lack of vegan options. They do have a few vegetarian ones which are also nicely marked on the menu but when it comes to veganism Vapiano sadly falls behind many competitors and that is really a shame for such a big brand which is also from Germany (a country leader in veganism). For instance, yesterday I asked the pizza chef if they had any vegan cheese for pizza instead of mozzarella and he barely knew what it was. Thumbs up to the receptionist who was very nice, friendly and helpful.

Great place near Laussane Gare to grab a quick bit. Vast selection of food types and cuisines. Self service resturant and lots of seating area if you fancy a quiet dining experience.

Had 2 pizzas there and a tomato soup. Pizza was fine, tomato soup was a bit too chunky. Price and portion were quite standard. The way to order was a bit hard to comprehend at first, as there are various stations you have to order different things at using a card. Drinks felt overpriced, but at least the ambiance felt nice.

This restaurant is really nice, where you can find friendly service and delicious Italian food. The pasta is prepared personally for order. Some cooks speak English well! While you are waiting for your food, you can watch in a separate room (glass box) as a man makes the pasta by hand. Pizzas are wonderful also. After finishing the dishes, a waiter cleaned up our empty plates almost immediately. The bathroom is fancy, vivid dark red and gold but really clean.

Cafeteria style Italian chain. Giant restaurant with self-service / beeper system. The food is very good (not the best you've ever had, but above average). The prices are very standard for Switzerland, and in that context, reasonable. I found the staff friendly, but they assume you understand how everything work. Things are intuitive however if you simply use your head and think logically.

Good place to eat, don't let the entrance via the escalator on Place de la Gare fool you. Inside you can enjoy several options of Italian food, on this visit my friends and I selected the pasta. It is wonderful to see how they prepare it in front of your eyes. My selection was the cacciatore pasta and I loved it. Update. I had to go back to this restaurant and now it was the turn of the lasagna and the salmon one was a creamy surprise.

It is the first time i gopped down an entire pizza and i stilled setting out for more from my friend's Mediterranean flatbread.Once the appetite growed on you with it's masterpiece crust, please feel free to try out the streams of a la carte menu. You can skip the pre-meal beverage, hands down the bottle of soda juice should be enough without extra cost.I recommend puddings for your desert,it refreshes you all the satiated palate.

Delicious food, put me in a food coma for the rest of the day. Prices were outrageous compared to vapianos in other countries, but average by Swiss standards.

The food was good and it was ready really fast. The restaurant is no longer called Vapiano, but VaSano. The concept is the same though.

At first glance, it's simple, no-frills pasta and pizza but give it a month or so later and you'd find yourself missing what you ate and hopping to the next train to sate your hunger. I still miss you, my spicy scampi.

What a brilliant concept, having a meal card to charge your food to and being able to basically create your own individual meal and have it cooked while you watch/wait is awesome. No wasting paper on printing bills, you hand your card to the Barman and it tells him what you ate and drank.

Good restaurant, friendly staff and good location. Pizza is (for me) hard to digest. I would anyway recommend for other choices (pasta etc).

It's an ok place with acceptable food, they have an automated system for getting you your order because they have no waiters. Don't expect faithful "real" Italian pizza or something, it's electric ovens and all. Personnel is polite

Worst meal I have had in lausanne. Garlic bread was burnt as you can see in the photo. Pasta was not cooked well either. Chefs are rubbish. Good concept but not executed well.

2 floors of restaurant. The food here is tasty and you need not wait a lot of time. Moderate prices and a lot of students like this place. I've been in vapiano restaurants in 3 countries and all is quite good.

The Food was delicious. I love that you see how the food is prepared. Local beer from the local craft brewery. PS my dad loves the beer.

Fantastic freshly cooked vegan food as always! Loved the Dish of the week « masala vegan with rice » so full of nice spices. The roasted tomato basil soup is to die for 🤤

👍 I’ve visit this place a couple of times and I’ve enjoyed each one of it. I always choose the same burger though. 7/10. The employees could smile a bit more maybe? I know it’s a hard job but well… smiling is free! I’ll be back 😌
