Very cute spot but very limited options for brunch. They only offer scrambled on the complete menu but we asked for fried and they kindly obliged. The savoury part Of the complete brunch is a bit boring, there is no sauce to tie it together. The pear jam for the croissant is a good selection though and the croissant was most enjoyable.

We came on Sunday for brunch. They forgot our order and half an hour later we had no food or drinks. I went inside and asked about it and the guy came out and took the order again. Eventually it came. Food was not very good; a club sandwich that was mostly egg mayonnaise. A platter with a bread basket that was all stale. My companion’s orange juice came right at the end. 29 CHF for each dish.

Warm, vibrant atmosphere and a great variety of classic French/Swiss dishes as well as some unique ones. We had a big group dinner here and the service was great even with a large group. Portion sizes were massive, so pace yourself if you're getting multiple courses... recommend the gazpacho, the grilled fish, and the lime sorbet/fruits dessert.

Unfortunately the kitchen was closed for renovations during our visit, but we still got to enjoy some tapas. Simple, quality, local food. Also a nice collection of craft beers. It’s a very cozy place with a nice view from the terrace. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I love the drinks but I don’t really like the food. The sausage was served cold, and I didn’t like the veggies. Also, it feels like they aren’t generous with the bread and portions.

♥️RECOMMENDED🎉 A local institution for food lovers and especially for the brunch. Delicious breads and marmelades, fresh eggs and orange juice. We had a fantastic moment here ! Great service to crowded place=success ♥️

The service is incredibly slow. It was clear that they were avoiding eye contact and had no interest in providing any service. It took us 30 minutes to order. It's not the first time that we observed this slowness that's why I recommend visiting other places close by in Lausanne for breakfast or brunch.

Lovely outdoor seating with nice views of the lake. Expect a wait if you want to sit outside and don’t have a reservation. Interesting indoor details. Menu is in French so keep your phones translation app handy. Friendly but very busy staff with some English spoken. Flavorful dishes. Got the sausage with mustard, mashed potatoes and veggies and liked it. Large portions. Reasonably priced wine.

After 5 years I got back to this restaurant and was not disappointed! Really nice easy going spot with a very delicious food and drinks. Pleasant atmosphere in summer and winter. Great food and nice service! 👍

Really great spot for food. You will most likely require reservations ahead of time as the place is always very packed. Highly recommend trying the beef tartar dish.

Café de Grancy is one of my absolute favorite places in Lausanne. The food is always perfect and the service is efficient and friendly. We recently enjoyed brunch outside on the terrace and loved it. I highly recommend the pancakes and crème brûlée for dessert! In addition, my long time favorites are the salmon tartare or fresh Raviolis. It's worth mentioning that most of their products are from local producers, which adds to the quality of the food.

Nice café, we went there with friends to have drinks but ended up moving elsewhere to eat and drink more because we found it a bit pricey. The waiter was lovely.

Once my favorite place in Lausanne. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined and the one superb service is abominable. Our waitress (black pony tail, lots of traits) was rude, arrogant and not at all attentive. Pity...

Not the friendly service I was expecting - the server was possibly the least helpful I’ve seen in Europe, dommage! They don’t have an English menu fyi and have no desire to help you either. Ended up ordering just a cappuccino and it was pretty darn bad for what it cost. You could get much better ones at much cheaper places. Shame because there were plenty of tables to just sit and people watch and it also got good reviews.

Most bizarre service experience of my life. Ordered immediately, waited half an hour for the beer before going inside to get it myself. The waiter seemed insistent on not seeing me trying to get his attention. Then after I finished my beer I tried to get someone's attention in order to pay for about 20 minutes before just going inside again to pay by card. No apology. I was sure I was at least going to get a free beer, but no.

This is a classic in Lausanne. The atmosphere is unbeatable. The food is good althought I findvthe menu a bit too small sometimes. Service is also quite good with friendly and young staff. Price in line with Swiss standards.

Certainly one of the coolest places of Lausanne for brunch, lunch or dinner. No Michelin star but honest tasty and fair priced food made out of local products. Try the Parmentier or one of the Tartar. Bestsellers for 10 years and its not going to change in the near future. Be aware, allways crowded (and loud) so nothing goes without a reservation at least one day in advance. Give it a try and enjoy.

Went in for brunch, managed to sit outside under the sun which was quite enjoyable. The service was good and fast, the food was simple with sandwiches and omelets. And the juices were fresh. Overall nothing fancy, simple and enjoyable!

A cool place to eat or hangout in a typical Lausanne café. Close to the train station and in a lovely neighborhood. Very « retro-bobo » clientele.

Excellent food for a fair price. Atmosphere is very nice, it seems you eat in old school "salon". We spent about 60-70 usd for two (lunch, coffee, and drink)

Great coffee! They have a set of delicious hot chocolate drinks - absolutely worth trying. Don’t be surprised if it is too busy, but the service is great.

My last visit I had a great brunch experience; this visit, the kitchen was closed, but the service was still excellent, above and beyond friendly in offering what they could amidst the rennovations.

Lovely little ransom cafe perfect for travelers from the station with bags. Drinks were good and the rillete was excellent :-)

We had a fantastic experience on Fondue night and felt really at home. The atmosphere was very unique, seemingly full of locals, which gave it a real buzz even on a Wednesday night. The food was excellent and exactly the authentic dishes we were looking for. The staff were really nice, but it was very busy so the service could be a little chaotic at times. If anything, it almost added to the ambience for us, but it might not for everyone

Nice seating area , unfortunately the kitchen is closed for construction work. Coffee and croissants are still good to have .

The place is nice. Unfortunately they didn't service breakfast and lunch, due to kitchen's renovation. Only croissant and cafe/tee. If you don't speak French, will be hard to communicate. Better ask young staff to serve you, they speak very well English.

Great find ! Stopped by for brunch, they have a large choice from classic bacon & eggs to pancakes, bakers'basket and even tartare and burgers ! Delicious !

Nice atmosphere and outside area, friendly service. Unfortunately it's overpriced, the menu is basic, and the quality of the coffee, drinks, and food is average at best.

Nice cozy café in the sous gare district, in Lausanne. Good service, tasty and fresh food, and cozy atmosphere. Usually becomes full on the weekend, so I would highly recommend you to make a reservation. It is a bit pricey, but take into account that you're in Switzerland... ;)

We used to love this place but now its horrible. Service was bad (likely untrained personnel). Had smoked salmon that was prepared as taken from a Coop package and place with a bit of lettuce from the same shop. Deserts were poor. As they seamed to have forgotten how to make chocolate fondant they poured cold chocolate sauce over it. An overpriced, rude and unpleasant experience.

We had a company outing there. Restaurant is moderate size with tables close together. Staff was professional, cheery, spoke English, they helped with the wines, local artisanal beers and digestives. Very competent. The food was beyond expectations. Perfectly spiced veal tartare, juiciest and most succulent chicken I've had in a very long while, panna cotta was just perfectly wobbly and gentle enough to melt in the mouth. Set menu price was about 50 CHF, portions were on the larger side, but manageable. Overall a real pleasure to visit.

You will need a reservation to have a branch here. Unfortunately for me I didn't knos that so I just got a light breakfast. All thr tables were already reserved the time I came by. Their coffee tables are always free for walk-ins like me and it was not that bad too. Their coffees are great. As well as their breads. Cozy and relaxing place to be. Definitely, you will always come back here. Servers are friendly and attentive.

👍 I’ve visit this place a couple of times and I’ve enjoyed each one of it. I always choose the same burger though. 7/10. The employees could smile a bit more maybe? I know it’s a hard job but well… smiling is free! I’ll be back 😌
