We expected a lot from this restaurant considering the high rating. However, we waited soo long just to order, I think it was more than 20m, then we waited another hour for the food to arrive as we thought at least the food must be good. But, food was horrible! Rice was not fresh, I ordered korma that tasted like burned coconut milk(and I've eaten before, this was not the taste). My friends ordered other things from the menu and also were not satisfied. We could not eat half of what we ordered, but not because we were full. Please if you keep your guests waiting at least make it worth while. As google doesn't let me comment on your comment, I will write here. No, we did not take ANY dish at home. AND at least you could've told us that there is more than an hour wait. Some of was were working all day and starving. Of course we will eat something...

Shame, the poor service does not give credit to its excellent food. Ruined the experience. They run a take-away while hosting over 25 tables, they simply cant cope with the demand and they dont prioritise. Waiting 1h20 minutes for main course, the people behind me 1h30 for their soup! When confronted the owner about the wait, they got very agressive blaming, not even an apology, big shame.

Lovely restaurant, delicious food and excellent staff/management. My wife and I were very happy and satiated after eating lunch here today. Tandoori prawns, fried onion rice, chicken fry and chicken curry were the winners today! Others dishes were awesome too. If you like Indian cuisine, you’ll thoroughly enjoy this place. Incredible Indian cuisine ! I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Lausanne ! The chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala are the two main dishes that truly stand out. Do try the paneer and butter chicken, they are also delicious. The mango lassi is also great. The restaurant has pretty maharaja themed decor, with areas that are suitable for seating big groups. Good food, and nice service! Love the mango lassi they have, and the chicken butter in addition to the fact that we can choose the spicy level! The portion is low but is enough to feel full, and I recommend their lunch buffet, I just don’t have pictures

The owners were super nice to us, they were always ready to give recommendations and suggestions to our pairing to make sure that we could all try everything. Very amicable and warm. We had a lot of laughs and a great time! Fluent English - something that we appreciate a lot when going out to restaurants as we do struggle with French as much as we tried so this really made us felt at ease. Food: Amazing! Hit the spot for everyone on the table as we all prefer different levels of spiciness and flavors. Will definitely be returning often!

An Indian restaurant I've been going to for many years! At midday you can enjoy a all-you-can-eat buffet with a fairly big choice of food for 25.-. In the evening there is the menu with a very large selection of different food. In both cases, the food is excellent. I particularly appreciated the full sized menu as there is a tremendous choice of different meats, different curries or different styles of cooking. It's absolutely delicious and I can only recommend you try out this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

As a nomad, it isn't often that one gets to taste food from back home the way it's meant to be... or even better! Eating at Indian Zayeka means getting an authentic taste of India right here, in the heart of Lausanne with its melt-in-your mouth naans, ridiculously delicious vindaloos and meat dishes as well as lip smacking entrées and vegetarian fare. The quality is impeccable, the quantity absolutely sufficient and the taste is exactly what you always knew (or at the very least, imagined!) Indian cuisine would taste like but might never have actually able to pin down before. And to top it all, the management makes sure that you aren't just welcomed into their restaurant but are transported to a cosy nook in the back alley of your hometown as you savour delicacy after delicacy!

Just two words: Amazing food! The food at Indian Zayeka Restaurant is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can choose among many menu options. The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. I loved the service at the place, particularly the kindness and sympathy of its owner, Mrs. Preeti. She is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best food quality! I highly recommend this place.

This was our first visit and we gladly put 4 star for the buffet experience! The selection was large and very tasty, although additional chutneys could have been welcome. The price is nothing to complain about and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The music was turned off once the buffet hour was over and it unfortunately changed the mood instantaneously which is a shame, but that’s not relevant to the food experience, which was a pleasant surprise and made us wonder why we didn’t know about this place sooner!

Great food, great service! The lunch buffet is always delicious, with great options. The dinner menu is equally delicious with a lot of options for any type of dietary restrictions as well as spice level. Great!

The ambience is really good. The restaurant owners and the employees are so warm and good. They have mostly North Indian food menu. It was my first visit with my colleagues. We ordered chicken biriyani, non veg platter, Indian mashed eggplant curry, garlic naan, mango lassi, Kadai chicken. All the items were so delicious. In my second visit wth a friend, we tried chicken vindaloo and garlic naan. It was delicious too.

After a lot of goofups with Uber eats, we decided we would pick up food from here. Having arrived, we found that parking was extremely difficult to locate. However, the food is always worth it. They customize the spice levels based on requests. The spicy Chennai chicken and the Methi malai mattar paneer (containing Indian cheese) are excellent choices. We will visit again but we hope there are better directions for the parking, especially 'cse it's so hard to find it when it's dark in the evenings.

Came here with our travel group. Had a buffet with lots of food selection. All are so yummy and flavourful. The owners and staffs are friendly. Eventhough our group is huge, food was enough and flow of our dinner was very smooth.

Excellent restaurant and very hygienic place. Best food in all of Switzerland and a must visit especially for the quality of service. The owner herself is a wonderful person to talk to and very accommodating for all guests. A true joy to eat here, the Chef is very talented.

Very nice restaurant, clean and friendly interior. Ordered takeout late on Saturday but they were still able to fulfill the order on time. The service was top notch, the family that runs the restaurant is very kind and friendly. And most importantly, the food was excellent, the best Indian Restaurant I've found in Lausanne to date!!

Literally the best cheese garlic naan I have had here in Switzerland! Too good of a meal and very friendly owners ☺️ And a major sign of a top-tier Indian restaurant: saunf, mishri, and toothpicks for you to end the dinner with.

No second thoughts. Head to this restaurant if you want to eat authentic Indian food. Paneer is homemade! Soft and full of flavour. 1st time I ate samosa made of dough made inhouse instead of spring roll sheets. Friendly environment.

Best and authentic Indian food. I really like Ambience, food, staff and the service. We just had dinner their with family. We are in 2 weeks Europe tour. Have been to different Indian restaurants in Interlaken and other places. I am glad that we stopped here on the way to Geneva. This restaurant is just amazing.

I visited this place after reading the reviews! To my surprise the Indians or desi students are not very well treated! We went there for dinner and although there was a place in the restaurant area, we were told that there was no empty table. The waiting time was almost an hour before someone actually noticed us. Food was good but after effects on stomach was horrible.

The waiting time was too much but the quality of food made it worth the wait. We ordered Daal Makhni and Paneer Butter Masala, both were amazing. Service was pleasing. The fresh buttery Naan and Tandoori roti were the winners. Worth trying if you love Indian Punjabi food and are in Laussane.
