Botanical garden in the middle of a big park and next to a playground. Great place to visit with children. You can tour the gardens in the morning and then visit the park/playground afterwards.

The Lausanne Botanical Museum and Gardens, is a wonderful attraction for nature lovers and those interested in botany. The museum features an impressive collection of botanical specimens and offers informative exhibits on various aspects of plant life, including their ecological and economic significance. The highlight of the attraction is undoubtedly the beautiful botanical gardens, which boast of plants from around the world. The gardens are divided into different thematic areas, such as the Alpine Garden and the Tropical Greenhouse, and offer visitors a chance to explore a wide range of plant species in a serene and peaceful setting. Overall, the Musée et jardin botanique de Lausanne is a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in botany or simply looking for a relaxing day out surrounded by natural beauty.

Magnificent place with taking some exhibition that is just inspiring. I've waited for so long to visit it and finally I did. I'm coming back to just roam the beautiful fragrant gardens and observe little ponds.

Really well organized compare to the size. Using of natural relief and slope for the alpine flower part is amazing. Plants belonged to several specific families are separated together with information for the evolution an specific characteristics.

I walked around the Botanical garden for some time and I saw some species of flowers, plants and vegetation I’ve never seen before. I truly thank the organisation for keeping such a wonderful piece of ecologi in the middle of lusanne so well kept. I also visited the small exhibition about the history of the botanical garden and it was super interesting. Highly recommend if you are in lusanne

Beautiful garden, free entrance and very well maintained plants. Best in my opinion was the glass house with carnivorous plants and orchids. Someone really knows his stuff.

Wonderfully designed and kept. A beautiful place to hide from the sun and enjoy the variety and beauty of plant life from all over the world. Relatively small and compact, but diverse. The glass house, although small, is beautiful and the carnivorous plants are quite something! The Milan parc is just behind, offering nice options for extended walks and kid's playgrounds.

A small greenhouse but full of tropical plants!! You will find the biggest rarest spices collection in Europe including: nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), clove (Syzygium aromaticum), Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum and cassia), Star anise (Illicum verum, the true one!!), different pepper (Piper nigrum, Piper sarmentosum, Piper sanctum, Piper borbonense, …), vanilla collection,… tropical fruits trees like Durian, jackfruit, tamarind,… medicinal plants. There is also a huge collection of liana (Aristolochia labiata, Aristolochia grandiflora, Strongylodon macrobotrys (jade liana), Strictocardia behaviensis,…) and a beautiful collection of hundreds orchids and epiphytes. You can go on the passerelle and have a look under the canopy in the middle of hundreds of flowers. The greenhouse has been divided in four different area where you will have an overview of flora of Amazonia and South America, Caribbean area and Mexico, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Such a beautiful place, with a poetic vibe and calmness in the air. Both the exhibit outside and the little museum are free to visit. You can take your picnic and have a nice break at one of the tables available. There are 2 greenhouses now with tropical and carnivorous plants. It’s many ponds are full with animals as well, great attraction for kids and families! Can’t believe not many people know this place!

It's cute if you consider it as a little park, but there are so few interesting and rate plants to see. I would suggest to pass through it only of you pass by. I was there beginning of October.

A beautiful quiet place to relax and get some fresh air after a long and warm day in town. I loved the views and the fountain.

If you are in the area of the gardens worth the visit but not worth going out of your way. There is a nice park adjacent to it that also has items for toddlers up to 10 year olds.

It is a great botanic garden, quite a young one but there is a lot to see there. The greenhouse is a good place to go to in the winter and if it is raining, also a cacti and succulent room is in the building next to it. It is a great place to escape from the city even when you are in the middle of it.

Great little place in Lausanne. If you want some calmness head there. There is a small museum that is well done. A room with cacti is also pretty need with different specimen. The garden is well taken care of and is very charming. I would happily go back again .
