Fabulous home from the famous Swiss architect, designed for and inhabited by his parents. Guides are really knowledgeable and friendly. Don't leave the time machine without enjoying free tea in the garden!

This house from 1923 that Corbusier designed and built for his parents on the lake just before entering Vevey from the west can be visited Saturdays and Sundays from 14 to 17 only. If you are not a student you pay 14 CHF, students pay 2 CHF less which is a rip-off. The staff seems nervous that you are going to steal something, take a photo inside the house or put half your left foot on the lawn that is decorated with numerous signs telling you off. Presently there is a photo exhibition that was not well curated and would have been more interesting if the curator had restricted the number of photographs and the staff had been ready to tell you more about the history of the place. Despite having a heavy architectural heritage and loving Corbusier's Ronchamp, I did not really find this visit particularly interesting.

This small villa of just 4 X 16 m is an interesting example of Corbusier's minimalistic style, started almost a century ago. Budget around 30 min for the visit. Free parking on the road.

Great to be able to step inside such an iconic building. It would be even better if you could take photos.

I loved the staff that was overly happy to give my friend and me a tour explaining all the details and cornerstones of Le Courbousiers architectural playground. Thanks a gain it was the best to have people living what they are doing 🌟.

If you a fan of Corbusier, I’d recommend it. It sits on Lake Geneva. You can pay with Twint or cash for admission. The staff spoke French and English with ease. They even show us the “hidden” secrets of the house.

Charming place to visit, not only for architectural lovers. Le Corbusier works are always worth of a visit, and this little house designed for his parents is a true jewel, framed in another jewel that is Lake Geneva.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Villa Le Lac, also known as the Villa "Le Lac" Le Corbusier, a stunning residential building poised on the shores of Lake Geneva in Corseaux, Switzerland. The genius of Swiss architects and cousins Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret is distinctly showcased in the design of this home, which was crafted between 1923 and 1924, intended originally for Le Corbusier's parents. The villa is an epitome of modern architectural design, with a keen focus on Le Corbusier's famous Five Points of Architecture, three of which are beautifully illustrated here. It's not surprising that it holds the title of a Swiss Cultural Property of National Significance and proudly joined the ranks of the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016. This architectural marvel is a must-see for anyone intrigued by the intersection of heritage, design, and natural beauty. Cost of entry is CHF14.-.

First house designed by the most famous Swiss architect. Great location by the like (with an incredible view), smart concepts applied to optimise the space, super friendly staff, happy to answer questions and share interesting anecdotes about the house, the architect and his philosophy. Highly recommended!!

exquisite and essential experience for students and lovers of architecture, design & le corbusier. after 100 years, this house continues to be on the forefront of great architecture and its function in relations to man and nature. the tranquil lake view is so soothing, and the garden is human scale and well maintained. there are lovely books for sale as well. nb - winter hours are saturday and sundays only, by appointment and for groups of 12. no photos inside.

Beyond the villa itself - already very interesting - our visit has been a pure pleasure thanks to the curator, Patrick Moser, who took the time to share with us his impressive knowledge about the history and architecture of the villa, but also the life of those living in it. We learned about details and anecdots we would never got if it wasn't for him. We're looking forward to go back for the next event organised there.

If you’re not super interested about this place, there are hundreds other way to better spent 12 chf/person :) Nice view from the small garden, building in a bit bad shape (old, paint goes off the walls), overpriced to see such a small area for such amount (fortunately you can pay with twint).

Being able to visit the second home Le Corbusier built for his parents where they lived until they died is worthwhile! Located at a picture postcard beautiful location at the lake Geneve. The guide was very enthusiastic about the place and knew everything about the history. Don't forget to visit the outside terrace and enjoy the view!

Exceptional welcome at the Villa "le Lac"! At the entrance three lovely ladies welcome you as if a family friend, explain you all the architecture, tell you all the stories and…cherry on the pie…even serve you mint tea freshly picked in the garden! And when leaving, you have the impression of being part of the family!
