Great location, about 15 minutes walking to the main Lausanne train station. Pleasant room, would recommend for a one-night stay. Remember your toiletries- they only have 3-in-1 body wash/shampoo but that’s my only complaint.

Some of the staff were friendly, some not so much. Comfy beds. My room for mixed up with that of someone else I was travelling with. I was surprised when I asked two more pillows and they said there were none. I thought the dog fee was too much (20 CHF).This very relevant benefit should be advertised better. No amenities in the room (kettle, coffee, etc.). For the price, very little is offered. IMPORTANT: I was not informed, neither before, nor at check-in, of the transportation benefit for people who stay at hotels, so I ended up spending a lot of money on buses... Very frustrating. I could have saved up a lot of money on transportation. The train company is willing to refund me for the tickets, but the hotel simply stopped replying to my emails...

From arrival to departure it was flawless. Possibly the warmest welcome in any hotel I have stayed. Sebastien and Stefan went above and beyond from the moment I stepped in. What a great asset they are to your establishment. The young men at the reception the next morning was just as helpful, I wish I had asked for his name. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable ( a bit hard for my taste, but I still slept quite good) Although I do not eat breakfast I looked it over and the variety of items is awesome and would please pretty much everyone. I greatly appreciated the complementary coffee before my 6hr drive back home. If I need to come back to Lausanne, I most certainly will be staying here again.

This centrally located hotel offers convenience at its best. Situated in the heart of the city, it provides easy access to key attractions like the port and museums. There is a bus stop right beside the hotel which is a definite advantage for those relying on public transport. The breakfast, while serving the usual fare, was satisfying. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay.

This hotel is absolutely amazing!! The rooms are very clean and the breakfast buffet options are all really yummy!! The staff are all really friendly and helpful! On one evening we took the lift/elevator up to our room and by coincidence a guy, who worked at the reception joined and even started a small conversation with us. Lausanne is a beautiful town - Thank you Ibis Lausanne Centre for making our stay even more pleasant!

Careful! I booked with them and they confirmed by mail. I arrived at the place around 23:30h and my booking suddenly couldn’t be found. Receptionist didn’t feel like solving the problem and sent me away instead.

Rooms were pretty basic but I really loved the location of this hotel—we were walking distance from everything in town including a co-op and many restaurants. We had the breakfast offered at the hotel and that was perfect before we went hiking—a few hot breakfast options along with the usual fare!

100% a great experience staying here, the staff are excellent, we don't really speak any French, but that didn't phase them, they spoke perfect English and are just genuinely lovely people. The room was great, we were in room 319, a newly refurbished room! Only negative I have is the window, can't adjust the blinds to look outside but apart from that, the TV was a great size, lovely little open wardrobe, little table and chair and wonderful bathroom with a huge shower. First time me and my wife have ever visited Switzerland, and its safe to say we will be coming back, very sad to be leaving... thank you for making our experience even better!

Bottom line, this is a decent hotel. I have no problems staying here any time. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff are nice and the hotel is well located. Breakfast is ok. But not like a hotel or other large hotel. It offers the basics. But other than that, yeah, nice place. The only reason I have not reached highest is the breakfast. Other wise, this hotel is good value for money.

Standard Ibis experience. Clean, no frills room, big tv, and generally pretty quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for exploring the city, lots of transportation nearby. Would visit again

We had a 1 night stay in the hotel and it was the perfect choice! Had a double room and was Clean & comfy, not too small and bathroom shower is pleasantly spacious, although the bathroom itself is on the tiny side but all working and functions well. Hotel lobby is modern and bright. The staff are friendly and efficient. However, coffee not so good, try to avoid if you are spoiled by Italian espresso coffee. They have a underground parking right next to the hotel entrance by daily fee. Great location, just 5 mins walk to city center, Coop & Manor, restaurants and shops. Easy access to metro. Don’t miss the Christmas market if you visit in Nov-Dec. also quite nearby if you are a city walker. Would stay here again in the future. Recommended. One thing to watch out for: they use a magnetic stripe card as the room key, so don’t keep it too close to your mobile phone for it can deactivate it then you won’t be able to open your room.

The room will not win any awards for homeyness or luxury, but it was spotlessly clean and with a nice bathroom. The hotel was quiet and the staff polite (and multilingual). There were a number of pleasant breakfast options (although breakfast comes with an additional charge), and the multilingual cable package was very nice! Extra towels and an iron and table-top ironing board are available upon request. The surrounding area had the basic necessities but was not exactly wealthy. The hotel is walking distance to the Collection de l'art brut. Good value.

Very spare rooms, but perfectly fair for the price. The staff were wonderful — they helped us get in touch with the airport in Geneva when my girlfriend’s bag went missing and made every effort to accommodate any request we had. I don’t typically leave reviews on Google, but I thought it was worth mentioning how wonderful they were to us.

I guess this is the best you can get for normal price in otherwise very pricey Lausanne. If you are early and Lucky, you might get parking space in their own garage (additional cost, but cheaper than public garage). Rooms are great and simple, however you have everything you need. Clean, warm and quiet. Breakfast is nice, small buffet but lots of choices. Very good coffee. Staff is exceptionally kind and friendly.

Worst Ibis I've ever stayed in, room smells like cigarette smoke, can't open the windows, the staff is super rude, there was no shower curtains in the bathroom, after taking a shower the whole bathroom was flooded.

Very compact rooms with minimal items in room. Entertainment and food options are good. Location fine.

Lost my respect very quickly. Needed an extra blanket for my daughter and they refused to help, said there was nothing they could do. There is only two outlets for electronic devices, and they are both on the far side of the room by the window...none in the bathroom or by the bed. Air conditioning was less than ideal. And they decided to start drilling in the wall and hammering in some ajcent room at 8am in the morning. That was nice... Anyways, the hotel is cheaper than most but these basic issues shouldn't have been issues, no matter the rate. Stay here if you are OK with mediocrity.

Such a lovely place to stay while in Lausanne!! A very clean room, big bathroom with spacious cabin, big bed with clean linen. I felt very free to hang my cloths in the closet... Quiet and comfortable! The only thing is that you have to do something with the electrical outlets - one only is not enough since two phones and a laptop is at least required to be charged every night! We were pleased with breakfast. The people were polite, smiling and helpful! I can't forget of course the kind smiling and helpful Vivian! she was there for us... Very convenient the free pass for bus and metro the hotel provided us during our stay. The center of the city is right there very close, walking distance to visit shops and for sightseing. Thank you for your kind hospitality!

This 2-star IBIS is better than many 3-star I've seen. Clean, nice. Rooms are a little small, and it is on the pricy side, I guess it is just adjusted to the cost of living. We go here often, I would recommend it if you are in Lausanne for a short period of time and you don't plan to spend too much time in the Hotel.

The location of this hotel is great. There are shops, bakeries, clothing boutiques and for those of you who need a Starbucks nearby... there’s a nice one in the walking district. As for the hotel amenities and staff... well... I’ve experienced better. For those of you who need to do your hair everyday with a curler or flat iron, there is only one plug in the entire room, and it’s not in the bathroom. Therefore, be prepared to be inventive with your hair styling. The bed was ehh, too firm for my taste. The walls seem pretty thin also, or it could be that my neighbor was loud. Would I go back? Maybe.

Over all not a bad bad hotel, but it was very unstructured and we couldn’t even open the windows… The personal there gave us absolutely no information… would not recommend.

Parents in law stayed there during their stay and visiting us in Lausanne. Very central and wonderful. Awesome staff and even I felt very welcome there.

This was really one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, especially when considering the high price for the room. Several things were unacceptable or that could be considerably improved: 1. There are very few plugs in the rooms, none of them close to the bed. But worse: international guests need an adapter for charging since all plugs are specific for Switzerland. I asked for one at the reception and the pointed me to a vending machine that they had installed in the reception area. The adapter was sold for 21 CHF. I refused to buy it and found a cheaper one in one of the supermarkets right next to the hotel. Yet, this is still outrageous given that the hotel must be used to welcoming guests from abroad. 2. The room windows cannot be opened. Therefore, my room was extremely hot. I tried to switch on the air conditioner but it was only a fan and whenever it was on there was a very strong smell of smoke. I asked the hotel staff whether I might be getting another room but they indicated that this was impossible. 3. There is no fresh water in the room. I bought a bottle of water at the reception for which they charged me 7 CHF. 4. There was no fresh fruit served for breakfast. 5. My showerhead was broken, which meant that I could only shower by holding the showerhead in my hand What was nice about the hotel was the free pass for public transport, the reception area, and the selection of beers on tap.

I had plenty of trouble booking through the Accor app. Though their system pleaded guilty prices kept increasing at every new attempt. After a nice check-in experience - the drama started: The room was overheated, AC did not work properly during the full stay, bedsheets clean but full of stains from previous guests. TV not working. Water temperature in the shower not stable. Lateral sound proofing absent. On Saturday I asked the cleaning lady to come at 15:00 so that I could take a siesta. As a revenge she used my toothbrush for cleaning and put the heating on in an already overheated room. I had chosen this hotel because I helped my son settling in next door. Generally speaking, it is strategically well located for discovering Lausanne. However you should be aware that every evening, on the next corner with chemin des cèdres, happens active drug dealing. You get from the hotel a free public transport ticket for the time of yor stay. This is generous. The absence of quality control and technical maintenance ruins the value you are supposed to get for your money.

I was lucky and had a room with working air-conditioning. The room was chilled all the time. Bed was very good and high quality materials and completely clean. Had a good sleep, even when it was 33c outside in the days. Quiet at night. Shower did not have a lot of water pressure and hot water was only occasionally. TV has not even 1 german channel. 30 French, 5 English. Buses are near the Hotel. I didn't have breakfast as it seemed expensive for 25 CHF. Bakery is around the corner. Lausanne itself is a chaos. Especially the Bus is always late, really full at times and the train station is a mess with construction site and crazy people coming out in the later hours.

Great experience, cozy comfortable rooms with plenty of space, staff were friendly and rooms were clean. The breakfast had a great spread, not to mention the pancakes were soft and delicious among other things. The location is great, a 10 mins walk from the central station or you can take a metro from the nearby metro station.

If you come from a Greek speaking country: Vivian is your lady! Besides Vivien, all people there are friendly and kind to help! As for the services: the breakfast is great, and the rooms are clean and with decent space! Finally, the hotel is in the center of the city, so if you don't want to use public transportation -e.g. being a tourist- you can easily walk to every place you would like to visit.

The staff here are very helpful and friendly. We were trying charge our (American) phones, and they provided us with an adapter in exchange for a deposit, which was refunded to us when we returned it at check out. After check out, we were able to leave our bags in a locked luggage room for later pick up while we explored the city. The downtown area is all within walking distance, and is close to the busline. The rooms were clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Downstairs in the lobby, one can read (there are an assortment of books in their library) , play games or work at the high table where there are outlets for your laptop. There are drinks and snacks available for purchase and several chairs and tables in the lobby, including high chairs for little ones. Overall, would recommend!
