Not the place stay if over 20°! Lovely hotel, staff very helpful, rooms good sized all be it very little storage space, location couldn't be better........ HOWEVER, and it's a big However! there are things which make this nearly unmanageable during peak summer. There is no AC, we stayed during a 30-35° week and the room was extremely hot and through the day just simply couldn't be in there. There is a fan but does nothing at all! 2nd the pillows are the softest pillows I've ever experienced to the point where on the 1st night I asked for extras but none free as every other guest had asked. Eventually got some and even with 3 your head still hits the bed. Luckily I could fold up my duvet for extra support given how hot it was but even that needed folding 8x to get any support! Lovely place, would stay again outside summer but my word invest in some new pillows at the very least.

Average hotel in a very central position that has a main big problem: no air conditioning!! It is incredible that in 2023 in Switzerland there are still hotels without it. The rooms only have noisy ceiling fans that will make your night a sleepless one. The strange thing is that common areas do have air conditioning, so my question is: why not in the rooms?? The only reason why I am not giving 1 star is thanks to the position, in front of Bessieres subway station, 4 minutes from the Central station. And since during your stay you will also receive a free transport card, this is a big plus! Ps. Not sure why it is called Swiss Wine. No one promoted any wine activity or tasting. Disappointing.

Very comfortable Hotel with excellent multilingual staff. Our room had some cooking facilities but these were a small extra cost that we did not take advantage of. Coffee and a croissant in the morning looked like good value, though again we did not partake.

Very nice room, felt fresh and modern. No AC though but a ceiling fan, since it was around 25 outside it sufficed. Breakfast was very meh, little to choose from and coffee was weak and tasted like the machine hadn't been cleaned in a while. Would recommend it since the room was nice! We only stayed one night and for that it was great. Big parking garage about 5 min away.

Good very basic hotel. Room was nice and very clean. The hotel also provided umbrellas to help with the rain. The hotel was close to many of the major sites and the metro was also very close and easy to navigate. Only complaint was the gym did not have any normal weights, just kettlebells. Would definitely stay again, just for the spectacular views.

The location was unbeatable. The metro is right at your doorstep. We were lucky to get a fifth floor room which made the heat slightly better, but it was pretty warm. Opening the window helps but it’s noisy on the street. Still, for a short stay it’s def good enough!

Air conditioning was working weird and was extremely loud. No lift until the last floor. Not worth it

Welcome to room 101 at Swiss Wine - supposedly a 3* hotel - with a scenic view on one of the busier street junctions in Lausanne, just one story above the traffic. At night it is so loud, you'll need earplugs to sleep, even with the windows closed. Of course there is no air condition. And some witty architect installed stairs with different dimensions in the middle of the room, which may lead to unexpected tripping if you happen to get up at night, looking for the bathroom. The room was generally in a mild state of disrepair, with partly torn down curtains and holes in the wall, also someone removed the padlock at the door - so no possibility to lock the room door from the inside. On the other hand, the room was adequately clean, that's something.

Came late at a Sunday evening actually wanting to go to Swiss Chocolate by Fassbind, but the reception was already closed. A note a the door mentioned to check in here. And we decided to stay. Coming from a competition we were tired and even though the sauna was closing in 10 minutes the receptionist let us still go. Thank you so much! Great experience.

My b favorite affordable hotel in Lausanne. Stayed there so many times. Rooms are big and the beds are just the best. You get a travel city pass upon arrival. The location is just the best (trust me I’m living here). Breakfasts are also great with a big variety of food.

Location is very good. You can take metro from the railway station and be there in 5 min. You won’t have the view but if you want to go to the city it’s perfect. Rooms are clean and were renovated recently. Nice comfy bed and big bathroom. Only downside is the noise. Doors doesn’t help at all. If you are located on the 1st floor You can hear staff going through the kitchen at 5 AM. NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU ARE LIGHT SLEEPER. Worth noting that there is no AC in the room. I was there in September so not a big problem but I can see it as a significant downside in the summer. Reception staff was really nice, spoken good English so no problem with that. Overall 4/5

Worst experience ever. The hotel has no restaurant for dinner. However they do for breakfast. As alternative we were proposed as option dinner at another hotel of the network which on our demand was not possible as there are no places and all is booked. No other options were provided in explicit request from our side. Do not recommend it unless you do not have any other option to stop.

Great location. The room had a nice view and was overall very nice. When we arrived, our room has clearly not have been cleaned. The bed was messy, there were used glasses, the shower was full of empty bottles of shower gel. The staff did not really comment on this, just changed our room to a slightly worse one. They didn’t offer a simple apology or try to compensate us in any way.

A big thank you to Sena who made our stay so easy and enjoyable, he was so willing to help us even though he was so busy! We had cycled all day in the rain and he could not have made our arrival more easy. He turned on the sauna, helped us order pizza and gave us more towels when needed! A lovely stay at the hotel and would definitely recommend!

Basic hotel, it was at least clean, very noisy room on a busy junction and very weird pillow (basically flat) - still have a very sore neck and shoulder 2 days later. Would not stay there again.

Lovely place right across from the cathedral. Get a room with a view of the old town, it'll be worth it!

Nice, clean, and good value for $. Not fancy but fits the purpose. It was very quiet; I appreciated that. The staff was also very kind!

BIG spacious ROOM! Nice deco and convenient location in the shopping area. Parking is too far away. Inconvenient travel with luggages, both inside & outside the hotel. The ceiling fan inside our is shaky. Free public transport ticket! Thanks! Nice breakfast! Thanks for serving us!

The hotel is well centrade, near the Cathedral and opposite a train station. Decor is beautiful, staff friendly. No air con, but we enjoyed our room and was clean and confortable. Breakfast was a bit expensive and the staff was not refill g what was missing on the buffet. But the breakfast room has a great view to the Cathedral.

Very nice hotel in the middle of old town. Great little restorants around for some good dinner / lunch and some great views! Staff was exceptionally nice and had good fun with them. Breakfast was just ok. For the price of 20 Swiss Frank's - I would expect a bit better selection but other than that - no complaints.

Good located in the City however Design seems to lead over function. Rooms are small and functional. Staff not the most helpful one. Parking is a few hundred meters down the Road. Minibar next to the bed was making loud noise, not ideal for a good sleep. Not sure if I would recommend this Hotel however the room was ok besides the strange place of the mini bar.

Loved the room but needed a little more from the breakfast. Great location to explore the town and cathedral area and right next to the metro. My room had a view across the town, fabulous bed, lots of space and a small but perfectly formed bathroom. For the price I was very happy. The breakfast was optional and I opted not to bother despite the lovely breakfast room.

Modern rooms, friendly staff, and an excellent location next to a train station — we received free transit passes at check in as well!
