We went there because we had a 50% deal but this is definitely somewhere we’d go again without it! The tartare is delicious, I had the beef tartare (Italian mix) and I thought it was super flavourful and fresh, definitely filling! My sister had the salmon tartare which was fatty and delicious just the way you want your salmon to be! Everywhere is served with potatoes and salad so the small portion was enough for us! We heard so much about their cheesecake so we made sure we ordered one to go, and that was the best decision we made:) ate it later that night and it was probably the best cheesecake I’ve had, it’s light and airy, just the right sugar level! Definitely recommend it!

We have been there interested by they original menu mostly based on a selection of tartare combinations. Very original idea! The preparation and presentation of dishes was also very well done, both the salmon tartare and beef carpaccio we had were very well presented and tasty. Service has been prompt and gentle, the folks serving at the tables are always never refrain from offering smiles at customers. We found the place a bit too crowded and noisy, tables are very close each other. Access to restrooms can also be a bit tricky for wheelchairs.

Cycled 35km all the way from France and was looking forward to a nice tartare meal… only to be met by a snooty lady who was managing the front of house. We stood at the entrance for 5 minutes before she acknowledged us. And when she did, she was unfriendly and unaccommodating, refusing to let us leave our bikes even by the side of the external tables where we would be sitting anyway. She was rude and walked off in a huff, and totally ignored us. So we decided to leave. What a bad taste this experience has left!

Went to the restaurant on boxing day with a group of 7, me, wife, our 3 children; and we met my wife's cousin and her husband there for dinner. Wife hasn't seen them in years so it was a special occasion. Staff was very friendly, good service, food tasted great, but 5 of us that had steak tartare started presenting food poisoning symptoms a day later... 2 of our children didn't have steak (tuna tartare or child menu) and are ok. We are on a 5 day break and were planning to go skiing today, which will not happen anymore. Please check your steak... Maybe was a bad batch we had.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of Tartares & Co in Lausanne. Always a safe bet when close to one. The tartare was fresh and qualitative for an ok price.

Good price, good quality. Cesar salad has a lot of ingredients, the salmon tartar is very good and the cheesecake with chocolate is amazing. Totally recommend!

OMG! This. Place. Is. AMAZING! Regardless of the fact that this is the first time I've been able to go to a restaurant since September of 2020, this is the best restaurant experience I've had in years. The food is absolutely fabulous. I had the beef tartare classic so that I could have a proper base of comparison. This is top 2 beef tartare I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned, high quality beef and the texture is spot on! The ceviche was great and the cheesecake is the best I've had in all of Europe! The service was impeccable. They were attentive but not intrusive. Couldn't recommend this place any higher! If you're in Lausanne, it's a must! Bon appétit !

We went with a the fork disccount, and always were very good, perfect service and good beer. Ill be back for sure.

Food is good. We come with the fork promotion and the service is attentive. Tuna Thai is fresh but not very much flavorful. Beef Italian is very good. And we love their baked potato. The toast on the other hand feels very low key. Cheese cake might be over rated by other reviewers ….it tastes good and fresh but more like whipped cream + crumbles but bot NY cheese cake ….

Good food and kind stuff. The restaurant offer a "Menu" option including starter/main/ dessert for a fixed price. However, unless you tell them BEFORE you order, that you would like to have that option, even if you take a starter-main and dessert you pay à la carte. This is a very opportunistic system. I did order a starter, main and dessert and did not get the MENU discount. I should have been told by the waitress how it works, I cannot just guess it as it was our first (and last) time there. After we complained they offer us to give the money back - however that is not the point. You offer a promotion, but unless client are aware of the promotion it doesn't count? Opportunistic.

Great place for a quick meal that is affordable and great tasting at the same time.

We unfortunately had a quite disappointing visit. Our group had booked the table far in advance and we were many people. Through the whole evening we did not felt very cared for, especially in regards of the food. The whole restaurant seemingly received their food before us and we waited for over an hour. It is quite frustrating to see everyone that has arrived after you receive their food before you. The food itself was quite good but the prices are also too high! What is also nice is the big offer of different supplements included in the tartare. But you can eat just as good tartare at places in Lausanne and pay a lot less. Maybe going with a smaller group is better for this place but after my visit I would not recommend.

Walked into an empty Tartares & Co in Lausanne Saturday evening and was asked if I have a reservation. When I answered, “no”, I was told to F off to the other side waitress who politely sent me to a dirty table. When I realised they had no intention of cleaning it, I asked to have it cleaned, at which time the crumbs from the table were unceremoniously brushed onto my lap so I left. I walked 10 metres to the amazing Street Cellar next door, which is highly recommended. Tartares & Co 0 stars. Street Cellar (next door), 5 stars.

Super good food, and the variety of choices. I got vegetarian tartare with crème brûler which was perfect for my taste. All the staff were so kind and I had a great service from them. I definitely go again.

Salmon Tartare façon nordique is excellent as always. The potatoes could be more crisp another less acidic salad dressing would be great. Servers are always kind, one is a bit pushy about ordering the children’s meal right away? (Maybe because of the 15 minute wait). Appetizers are tasty as well.

Nice restaurant, well located, friendly staff nice dining room A little disappointed with the food, beef carpaccio starter was ok but it didn’t rock my world, for mains I had the classic beef tartare - nothing wrong with it but it didn’t really stand out , we make better ones at home. Overall decent respectable performance , good size portions and decently priced , but not amazing or memorable. No complaints - just the dishes I had were a bit flat

Nicely decorated, good atmosphere and interesting concept but I find it extremely overpriced. I'm sorry, but putting CHF 16 for a tiny portion of Ceviche was way too much. I know it's Switzerland, but still... The tartare was good, but again the portions of salads and chips were ridiculously small. Only 3 choices of different cakes as dessert menu is a bit disappointing. The service itself was good. Friendly staffs but completely lacked of organisations which made the service chaotic and slow. Good experience, but perhaps not a second time.

If you like fish or meat tartares that is definitely the place to go ! There are many options of how to prepare your tartare and it’s delicious. Yet the desserts not so great :/ The staff is very friendly, we had a bigger party than expected and they kindly adjusted the number of seats at our table. The place is also nicely decorated. I’ll definitely come back in summer to enjoy their terrace.

Everything we had was really tasty and fresh; the service was also excellent! Recommended for a delicious meal in a friendly atmosphere.

I can't say it's the best tartares I have ever had, but they are good, they do have an vegetarian option for the ones asking :). The service is friendly, extremely fast and professional . The terrasse is close by the road so kind of noisy, but a part from that everything for a pleasant stay.

Lovely restaurant in Lausanne. Every dish we had was delicious - everything so fresh. The service was friendly, warm and polite. Nice atmosphere. Good sized portions and well presented. We would recommend this super restaurant to anyone wishing to dine out well for a very reasonable price. Thank you for looking after us and giving us a fabulous experience.
