so this an expensive hostal, of course you will have your private room (which is the smallest room I ever stayed), 1) so loud, you hear all drunk people all night outside, rooms are not isolated at all 2) breakfast is so basic and expensive, it is basically bread, industrial egg or tons of sugary cereal... 3) the common area, which they intended to be cool and all, its always crowded since no one have space in their rooms. 4) I had the idea of going here with my wife and son, and it wasnt a good idea at all. Avoid going with children 5) I ask for a plastic bag to.put my baby's diapers. Impossible, they dont provide anything. All garbage bins are without bags, you can imagine the funny smells. 6) I.mean if you are a young and wealthy hipters I guess you can stay here....

I have conflicting feelings. It’s a hotel for the modern day influencer/work person. If I had been able to sleep (which is the purpose of a hotel, I would have given it an extra star) I’ll start with the bad points before the good: Con’s: - Room facing the plaza meant I didn’t sleep 3 nights out of 4. All the young people between 50-100 people party and socialise there until the early morning (I heard the last person leave around 5:30am) - Because it was so loud I couldn’t open my window and the air con is not powerful enough to keep my room cool. So was quite hot all night. (There were no more fans available at reception) - The pillows were pretty bad for me as a small woman. They were too hard and too stuffed so it was uncomfortable for my neck to be that elevated. - Modern room = no wardrobe, just the hanging grid by the TV and 4 coat hangers. Cool concept for a short stay but not great for longer stays for business. - No kettle - call me old fashioned but I like a coffee in the morning and a tea before bed. You have to pay for these at reception. However they will give you free hot water. So you can bring your own tea bags. Just wasn’t expecting it for this style of hotel. Pro’s: - Hot desk in the lobby - Large lounge area to eat/drink/chill/work - Staff are pleasant - Rooms are clean - 1 x free complimentary drinks token - Free bus pass for the duration of your stay - Located in centre of town. - loads of restaurants, cinema and stores within a 2 min walk. - There’s an ironing room on level 1 (never went to)

It’s off the Cecil stop in Lausanne, though it was difficult to see at first. It’s down an elevator to the second floor from the bridge, or a steep ramp down. The feel of the hotel is more modern and party-like, similar to a W hotel. Lobby. Nice room, and they catered to a specific request. They also provided local transport tickets prior to check in, which helped in getting to and from the hotel. After checkout, I was able to use their lobby lockers for free to store luggage while exploring the city (I stored luggage between 9am-8pm)

Horrendous stay. First let’s specify I’m a platinum member for life with this hotel group, so I stay pretty much every week on one of their hotels. This one indicated AC but don’t have any. They give a drink token for an alcoholic beverage. Apparently the one I ordered - with the token placed in front of me. The gentleman at the bar let me order it, prepared it, put it in front of me, then mentioned this cocktail wasn’t part of the courtesy and … preferred to throw it away instead of letting me have it. Pathetic and what a waste. Finally the room don’t have a phone while this is listed as the amenity, so I had to put my clothes back on when I realized the outlet wasn’t working for my phone for instance. And when I realized the AC wasn’t working I was too lazy to go back down. Thumbs down for this hotel.

The people and management were really friendly. Overall this "new concept hotel" didn't work for me as a business traveller. Absolutely no where to hang stuff, no safe, one semi painted bedroom wall, all the rest concrete rough and ready walls, just looks unfinished. Graffiti everywhere, if that's your thing. Lots of streets of ambient restaurants a very small walk away.

Everything from booking, check-in to check-out went smooth. Nice staff, clean rooms and nice location. The TVs support chrome cast, which is nice. Although the location is pretty central and it can be loud outside, inside the room you can't hear anything from the outside with the windows closed.

Stayed many times in the last 5 months and this is my go to business hotel in Lausanne! Great for (co)working during the day and very close to the metro, making it very easily reachable and a perfect hub for meetings anywhere in the city. Very smooth check in experience and nice casual lobby area for chilling and working!

The room I stayed was small but cozy. The experience was good. The staffs were helpful particularly one who remembered my name and helped me with travel arrangements!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in August of last year for one night over a weekend. Shortly after checking into our room, we discovered that the toilet was broken and not flushing. We promptly notified the reception, only to be informed that they were unable to address the issue. The hotel was fully booked, and it being the weekend, they claimed they couldn't arrange for another room or fix the toilet. To compensate for this inconvenience, we were handed a coupon for a complimentary tea at breakfast – a laughable token of apology. So, we were left with no choice but to endure a night in a room with a malfunctioning toilet. While not the end of the world, it was undeniably inconvenient. Initially, I refrained from writing a review, partly out of concern for the lone staff member managing the entire hotel. I assumed they were merely following protocol. However, my perspective changed when I considered the hotel's affiliation with a major chain like Marriott. With the backing of such vast resources, one expects reliability from a recognized brand. Having previously stayed in numerous smaller, family-run establishments in Switzerland, I experienced a stark contrast. For instance, during the Christmas holidays at a boutique hotel in a secluded valley, the receptionist went above and beyond, calling friends to locate a mechanic when my car's tires kept deflating overnight. In contrast, a Marriott-backed hotel in a bustling city like Lausanne couldn't handle a situation where their own room was faulty. Their grand solution was offering a complimentary tea at breakfast. Given that Moxy failed to fulfill any of their promises, such as reliability and a functional room, I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of all Moxy hotels. They offer no discernible advantages over lesser-known establishments. It's akin to McDonald's or Starbucks shutting down because they ran out of buns or beans.

I really enjoy staying at The Moxy hotels and have stayed in many throughout Europe. This stay was especially rewarding because of two of the employees that exceeded expectations in professionalism, friendliness, and passion for their customers! Mariol welcomed us upon arrival and quickly resolved an issue that was MY fault without any attitude or judgment. He then shared his knowledge of Lausanne including an excellent recommendation for dinner. As if that wasn't enough, we were lucky enough to meet .I guess manager Phillipe who quickly showed us that these two gentlemen run the best hotel I've stayed at in a while. Warmth, clean, and comfortable. I will return to Lausanne and will definitely stay at this Moxy. Thank you both Mario and Phillipe! Bonvoy has a shining star in this hotel.

Great location and well connected with metro - 2 different lines. I've used their work space below for meetings. It's a good space to either work by yourself or hold small gatherings. Service is at the counter only.

Loud music and big party in the bar on a Sunday night. Had to get up early for work and impossible to sleep. Very disrespectful.

What a great location for this hotel and had the best sleep even in a busy area. The hotel was very clean and walking distance to all the amazing locations to see. The pillows where the best!! I will ne back or stay at a Moxy again for sure. Parking was very well explained and just a few steps from hotel and they even gave us a discount on the parking 🙌. Thank you team Moxy Lausanne.

Unbeatable location great service, cool concept, small rooms, but to be expected. Alex worked nights our entire stay and went the extra mile to ensure we had an awesome experience!

cool hotel! the room is quite small but the bed is comfy and the TV huge! no kettle in the room, neither any table... the lobby is so charming! really nice location near le Elon district (a bit far from the Lake but perfect for restaurants and going out) staff is nice, overall a very good experience

The rooms are quite small but clean. If you have a room facing the plaza it can be very loud because people party there until 1:30am! The breakfast is simple. The WLan is fast and the lobby offers working space. There are some supermarkets close by. Price is OK.

Great location and service. Clean room, but small with no wardrobe or closet. The bed and pillows are not the best ones as well.

Great modest hotel, rooms very well kept and clean. I have stayed here before and service and cleanliness always consistent, not to mention a good breakfast buffet of a 3 star hotel. The staff is always very welcoming.

Modern and refreshing style. Great location and friendly staff. The rooms are small but clean and the bathroom was very spacious with a nice shower. They don't have a restaurant, only a bar, but you can bring your food and eat downstairs, there are plenty of tables and sofas to choose from - or you can cuddle with the giant teddy bear!

What a great location ! You have lots of restaurants and bars around the property ! Yes it might get a bit pound at night / but the windows are sound proof 👌 two metro stops (of 2 different metro lines) are really close. The useful information and the free travel card for public transport - was an amazing surprise upon the check in ! Not forgetting about the welcome drink - wow, what a great stay in Lausanne !

Favorite choice in Lausanne in a vibrant quarter. Easy living in solid and nicely designed bedrooms and co-working and lounging spaces. Simply check in at the bar or grab as well your coffee or drink.

The staff is very kind. The hotel is cool and clean. They give you a ticket for the public transport and coins to exchange for a drink. Great place!

Best location, in the middle of Flon, which is where everything is. Great selection of restaurants surrounding the area and easy walk to nearby park with great views or Old Town with its picturesque architecture. They have a bar downstairs which offers a free drink per guest. Rooms were very clean

I like the concept of this place - it’s a cool hotel, with a good lounge/ bar area for chilling out. The rooms are a decent size with a comfy bed and nice bathroom - everything you need if only staying a night or two. There’s just a couple of things that are letting them down a bit at the moment - first, none of the staff particularly seem to know what they’re doing, although they’re very friendly. (Perhaps they’re all new!) Secondly, a big shame is that they don’t serve food/ hot snacks - or they do, but we were told by the guy behind the bar that all they do is reheat frozen meals or order stuff in so it’s ‘not like proper restaurant food’ - if they could improve on that I think it would score more highly. Finally, it’s also worth noting that outside of the hotel seems to be a hang out for Lausanne’s teenagers, drinking and smoking. Wasn’t a problem for us but might put some off! Overall a good stay and I’d still recommend, I think they are a relatively new hotel so I hope they continue to grown and improve!

Great value for money hotel in the most central Lausanne location! The breakfast is very good covering all the basic needs. The rooms are lately renovated and the soundproofing is really good. You get a daily transportation card for free for each day of your stay. There is also discount for the private nearby parking. Would really recommend it when visiting Lausanne.

Well this was a surprise... never judge a book. Looks like nothing from the outside, but some lovely touches and designs on the inside. Nice welcome cocktail and great staff. Close to many restaurants and bars... somewhat limited breakfast might be the only negative.

Very nice hotel, modern and clean! Super friendly & solution oriented staff! Breakfast was amazing - a lit of variety! What I missed was a water boiler in the room and the parking situation is a bit annoying!

Location is ok. It's a bit out of the way and up a hill but acceptable. The rooms are small but has everything you need. Staff are super friendly. We got travel cards and a free drink which was nice.

Located in a newer boom area of Lausanne, this hotel is a great combination of welcoming lounge atmosphere with a class hotel in the back. Ideal for "forever young" people - also on a business trip - that don't need white table cloths and crystal glasses. Various restaurants and bars just around the corner, should the lounge bar not suffice ... Conveniently located two stops and one change by metro from the main train station.
