Full
disclosure
-
I
am
usually
not
a
very
discerning
customer
when
books
are
involved.
You
say
"
books!",
I
run
in
the
shop.
And
I
never
leave
the
place
without
at
least
one
of
them
in
my
hands.
Well,
that
was
before.
I
have
been
a
client
at
this
FNAC
sporadically
as
I
don't
live
in
Lausanne.
But
compared
to
previous
years,
I
found
the
choices
of
books
very
poor.
I
am
usually
looking
at
the
following
departments:
cooking,
knitting,
sewing,
fiction
(
novels),
thrillers,
psychology,
economics,
finance,
wellbeing
and
comics.
The
economics
range
has
been
reduced
to
one
shelf,
the
psychology
and
wellbeing
books
are
the
easy
popular
self-
help
stuff
that
you
can
consume
like
smarties
and
forget
the
next
day,
the
crafts
department
has
almost
completely
disappeared.
You
can
have
a
better
choice
within
the
thrillers
and
cooking
shelves,
but
that's
about
it.
And
the
prices
are
high.
I
saw
a
cooking
book
that
was
tempting
for
above
30chf;
found
it
on
amazon
fr
for
less
than
25chf,
and
on
amazon
UK
for
less
than
13chf.
Makes
you
think.
Finally
had
a
look
at
cds
and
dvds
-
a
lot
of
the
same
products
but
a
slim
choice
again.
Got
Happy
in
tech-
bought
some
earphones
and
a
charging
cable.
I
am
a
lost
cause
in
these
sort
of
things
so
had
to
ask
two
young
men
who
helped
me
kindly
and
efficiently.
They
took
the
time
to
explain
what
I
needed
and
what
was
best
in
the
cheapest
options
I
wanted,
so
no
beef
whatsoever
there.
How
do
I
know
their
advice
was
sound?
They
picked
up
the
same
products
my
husband
had
advised
me
to
buy
and
he's
an
expert
in
It
and
tech.
So
it's
a
mixed
review.
I
understand
that
fnac
in
in
this
game
to
make
benefits
first,
and
the
best
way
to
do
it
is
to
sell
the
most
popular
products.
I
won't
judge
that,
but
a
serious
effort
is
needed
in
the
books
department.
As
a
customer
I
want
to
be
intrigued,
curious,
inspired,
charmed.
I
wasn't.
