I did my first 2 open water dive sessions with a different shop and wasn’t able to finish the remaining 2 dives because they cancelled the diving sessions last minute. Then I found this place and I finished the remaining open water dives with Jim about a year ago. I came back to complete advanced open water with Jim because he had everything I was looking for - high quality diving sessions, professionalism and reasonable price. Jim is the owner of this shop and the PADI course director. I can’t thank him enough for such a smooth diving session. I know I will be going back to Jim if I ever need to do diving sessions in the future! Highly recommend this place!

Going on a cruise in less than weeks and I needed to, last minute for various reasons, procure a prescription snorkel mask. I called to confirm that they could cover prescriptions such as mine (worse than -9 in both eyes) and they could so we made the two hour drive down where we were taken care of, from making sure the mask fit to double and triple-checking the lens. Thanks so much for the help and I highly recommend it for the great service and selection! This was the last thing I needed to get me fully excited for my snorkeling! P.S. We killed a hornet that tried to sneak inside so don't be scared when you lift up the welcome mat!

Great company. The owner is fully involved and takes ample time with every client and question. No overselling here. My 14 year old child received his full scuba certification in a fast tracked 4 day program that was no pressure and fully understood with local final check dives. I personally opted to take the “Re-Activate” refresher course to remember all that I’ve forgotten. Jim, the owner was extremely patient and took all the time I needed to make sure I understood every aspect of my training and he offered insight that I never received during my first open water training 20+ years ago. Jim offered clean and modern dove Equiptment at no charge for all of my training; that saved me hundreds of dollars$$$. Our checkout dive site was awesome and had every aspect to ensure we understood our training. Jim has a great dive gear inventory at his shop and a full training facility. Jim was a very calm and educated instructor who made the entire process quick and easy and very inexpensive.

Best scuba diving certification experience EVER! Jim is the best, super patient & flexible with your schedule! I work a lot and he was so accommodating for me & helped me get my Advanced cert prior to my trip coming up for Memorial Day. Also he was super helpful with recommendations for Dive gear for me to purchase. I will definitely come back to further my dive training with Jim !

My experience with Jim was amazing. He is such a fantastic instructor and you can tell he cares about his students and their education. Jim worked with my schedule and was incredibly patient with me. Jim / Ocean Spirit Aquatics is THE place to get scuba certified. I just completed my first course (Advanced Open Water) with Jim and Alex and they truly deserve all the 5 star ratings this place has received over the years. They focus on safety first and make sure that everyone understands the dive and all the things necessary for when you are out on your adventure. They are extremely patient and helpful when you don’t know how to do something or mess up (which happened to me many times) and I can tell that Jim truly loves to teach. Jim also tries as best he can to accommodate to your schedule and will find excellent people (like Alex) to help him on weekends where he has many students. It seemed to me like it was pretty much a 1:2 teacher:student ratio. Jim’s prices are extremely reasonable for the services he provides. It is truly unbeatable. Just give him a call if you ever need anything or need to ask a question and he’s always more than happy to help. If I ever need anything scuba related, whether it’s gear or further courses, I’m 100% going back to see Jim!

Great experience. My daughter who is visually impaired was able to get a prescription dive mask, and was able to become PADI certified with Jim. His shop is full of beginner all the way up to expert dive equipment.

Just completed the open water certification and my s/o completed his advanced open water reactivate. The shop owner, Jim, is an extremely skilled and patient instructor and was amazing throughout the entire process. He worked around our very limited schedules allowing us to complete the course before our vacation. Jim is very genuine and super easy to work with. You don't have to worry about random hidden fees. He provides all equipment needed during training and discounts on gear to students (definitely recommend taking advantage of). Highly recommend Ocean Spirit Aquatics!!
