It still tastes good !! They have definitely cut back roast beef in the sandwich. Over a year ago you could barely wrap your mouth around the sandwich because it was loaded with roast beef, the sandwich was so thick !! In the past year I've gone 3 times and the first 2 times I thought wow these sandwiches have barely any roast beef. Well today I went and they have definitely cut back on how much they put in !! It's kinda sad that I paid $15 and some change for a plate then I got 2 supers, so I paid $42 and some change for 3 sandwiches but got a lot less roast beef !! Love Nick's Roast Beef, but I don't think I'll be back, you can't charge more money and then put less Roast Beef !!

Used to be one of my absolute favorite places back in the 80s and early 90s. Hadn't been there since then. Expected higher prices compared to some other places I've been to recently and was pleasantly surprised it was reasonable and not outrageous. Wasn't expecting it to be as good as I remembered either. But it really was! Absolutely delicious and the fries were fantastic too. Called in my order. Everyone was organized and running great, even though it wasn't super busy. So awesome to find an old favorite that is still just as great as it used to be! That ain't easy these days. Good for you Nick's!!! I'll definitely be back soon. 5 yums!

Melt in your mouth roast beef sliced paper thin with a barbecue sauce that’s hard to describe on a buttered onion roll. That is Nicks Roast Beef. This place is the stuff of legends. My suggestion is to order your beef with sauce and Mayo. You can add cheese if you like too (3 way). The onion rings and French fries are incredible, and so are the milkshakes. If you don’t like it, just lie!

This place is absolutely amazing. Nice and cozy and the absolute most bomb/delicious sandwich in all of Massachusetts. If there's one thing I would change is how far it is from my house because I wish I could eat their delicious roast beef every single day. 11/10 recommend!

Pretty solid beef not going to lie. I’m usually one for right off the highway beef but this place def has solid flavor profiles considering it’s a few miles off 95, my glory land. Sauce was a little much but we can’t have it all. This was my second beef of the day so perhaps I am a little biased by a tainted palate. NPS 7.5.

I paid for two super beef dinners only to get two junior beef dinners. The portion size was tiny for the ridiculous amount of money I paid. The manager wasn’t very sincere. He claimed I have to go in person to be refunded on my credit card? Ridiculous considering I’ve been refunded several times over the phone. I’ll be going to Jamies or Land N Sea from now on. Cheaper prices for larger portions anyways.

How the mighty have fallen... Used to be one of the best beefs in the North Shore for years and is now below average at best. Better off driving the extra miles to go to Harrison's Roast Beef in North Andover or Londi's in Peabody.

Large beef with cheese, BBQ sauce, and mayo. Honestly, one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time.

Super beef with the 3 way. I wasn't expecting anything. I don't like mayo. It all was a delicious, saucy, roast beef sandwich of glory. They make the best for 16+years running for a reason and I have tasted why.

Perfect super roast beef, sauce, cheese & mayo on an onion roll. Added a side of chicken fingers to the goodness.

Amaizing roast beef, I come here 2-3 times a week or more! And I've been across the whole U.S.A and Nick's has always been my favorate. (Recomend if your passing by!)

The only place around that makes the perfect roast beef sandwich and onion rings. All their food is great. Staff is friendly

I walked in and was greeted by the friendly staff, I already knew by my instincts that this was gonna be good….. I was right! the roast-beef was so nice, the cheese was so creamy and melted and was absolutely divine…. The sub roll was so soft and fresh, I couldn't wrap my head around how fresh it was…I loved it. fries were so good….. I would absolutely highly recommend Nick's to anyone that wants one of the best subs in the north sore. great food, great staff. I will go back again when I can.

A take-out place with inside seating and the best roast beef sandwiches ever - delectable. Friendly, quick service, a menu with many options and reasonable prices. Access in and out from the road is tricky and parking is limited.

We traveled all the way from California to try one of Nick's roast beef sandwiches, and it was the best we've ever had. The staff was very friendly and most accommodating. A MUST experience!

Nick's is the GOAT...I drive all the way from Gloucester for take out. The staff is friendly and efficient, the building is clean and well maintained and the food is the star of the show. Nick's is a north shore landmark for good reason. You won't be disappointed

Great sandwich! Definitely see why its famous--though my friend got a sub and that looked better imo. Also recommend the fried broccoli--not really what you think it is, more like a hot pocket with cheddar, bacon bits and some broccoli bits--very tasty

Went in to Nick's for the first time ever. Stopped by at 11:45 AM. No line, no wait. Took my order to go and destroyed it in the parking lot. The beef was medium rare and the onion roll was super fresh and soft. It had just the right amount of sauce. TO...DIE...FOR y'all! I'm DEFINITELY headed back when I'm in the area again. I'd give it a full 5 stars if I could get a little more meat, but that is my preference only.

Always Awesome! Nick's is a nostalgic visit every time, as we used to go there all the time when I was in college. Their "super beef" with sauce is the best!!

Delicious selection of freshly sliced roast beef sandwiches. Great onion rings, plus other appetizers and Greek salads and Baklava. Efficient and friendly crew. Clean and busy, but tables were available.

Read many reviews and had to give this place a try. I ordered a junior 3 way and let me say I was very disappointed. No flavor in the beef, very little sauce and mayo. It seemed like the beef was on a hamburger bun. Not planning on giving this place another try because it was truly awful. I don’t understand all the 5 star reviews. I recommend going to the “other” Nicks

Hands down the Best Beef Sandwich that I have ever had. The beef sandwiches that I've had in Pittsburgh PA don't even come close so the clear winner here is Nick's and Beverly MA. The sandwich seems simple and I was initially skeptical but I have never tasted better or more tender beef. It remains my favorite part of my trip to Massachusetts.

I had the Junior Roast Beef with horseradish and barbecue sauce. It was stellar! And their bachlava is a delicious and sweet surprise as well!

Growing up with north eastern Mass roast beef, I have had my share. From recent memory, Nick's definitely earns its awards as best of Massachusetts. The beef was thinly sliced, nicely layered and well cooked. The sauce they use is slightly spicy bbq, as I prefer (plug for Skampa in Cambridge who normally has my VM favorite sauce). The rings were the stringy kind that frequents sub shops and the fries were thin and very reminiscent of McDonald's. While there are many good beef places in Mass, Nick's certainty deserves to be in any good natured argument about which is best.

Absolutely, unequivocally, and without question THE BEST ROAST BEEF SANDWICH on the North Shore of Massachusetts! Nobody does it better than Nick's! I stop in EVERY time I come down from Maine and I'm always greeted warmly and like a member of the family!!! That's how much they care about their customers!!!! That's why they're the best!!! Highly recommend the broccoli and cheese bites!! Great accompaniment to your sandwich!!!!

Great roast beef sandwich, I had the platter that came with fries and onion rings and was not disappointed. Next time I will definitely ask for extra BBQ sauce. The restaurant is very small with almost no parking and it was packed by 11:45. Even at 11:30 it was very busy.

THIS. Is comfort food. Perfectly sliced roast beef, perfect roll, sweet and tangy sauce. I had the Super Three Way (Mayo, cheese, and sauce). It’s so so so good.
