👍👍 Visited this place during lunch. It is very close to Rua Catarina near Cafe Santiago. The service was fast and they speak English. They were also accommodating to my food allergies. The food was delicious. I enjoyed a sushi platter and veggie gyoza 🥟. Highly recommend and I will return. People often mention sushi,

Sushi always done with great care and fresh ingredients... It's remarkable how much the charisma of the chefs contribute to each piece being carefully executed and having taste powered. Highlights for tataki, salmon and especially nigiri. The space is also very large and intimate making it a good option also for those who prefer to have a meal at the table. It's also worth mentioning the fair price for the quality of the food. There is not yet the option of buffet or all can eat here.

Wanted sushi for our last meal in Porto. Most of the Japanese places were closed but gave Tanto Sushi a shot. It's not Japanese run. A mix of pop and Indian music was playing. Menu looks large (66 items) but not much variety. The 5 lunch specials seemed okay. - Sashimi misturada (10,90€) - salmon and tuna were passable, imitation crab and prawn meh. The sweet sauce they drizzled on top ruined the sashimi. - Maki misturada (3,90€) - sweet sauce was puzzling. Rice wasn't seasoned. - Hot atum maki (6,90€) - way too much cream cheese. At least it was nicely fried. - Salmão tataki poke bowl (6,90€) - not what we were expecting but it'll fill you up. Don't come here expecting quality sushi.

Best Sushi in town! Having ordered by Uber before, we knew delivery would take a while, so we went there in person. The restaurant is very unremarkable from the outside and also from the inside. Two guys handle everything themselves (that might be the reason for the delay in deliveries), BUT THE SUSHI IS THE BEST! I’ve had sushi in Tokyo at the fish market, but the salmon at tanto sushi was incredible and basically irreplaceable! The staff is very polite and we got served immediately. The meals are about 5€ cheaper than with Uber eats/lieferando.. in comparison to Germany they are very low priced in total. Just waiting for the bill took some time (due to the many deliveries they had to take care of). Over all, every minute was worth the salmon 🍣😊

Excellent service, food and prices. We had the chicken poke bowl, Californian roll, dumplings and shrimp tempura which were all delicious. Ingredients were fresh and sits outside were perfect

Stumbled upon this gem while walking around and glad I did. The lunch menu can’t be beat!! A drink, soup, fries (yes I know, not traditional) and 12-16 pieces of sushi, plus coffee for 10-12 euros. Went a big out of my comfort zone and ordered cooked sushi since it was a pretty cold day. It was flavorful and really great! Not only is it a very large amount of food, the staff is attentive (we dined in) and the restaurant is pretty centrally located. The only complaint is how tough it is to find. I’d recommend better signage you can see, since when the awning is up it’s impossible to see.

I'm a nigiri lover and this place hit the spot. The fish was super fresh and the presentation was on point. Had sushi earlier in my vacation and it was delicious but this place beats it. It's a little hidden gem that has a limited menu. A simple menu leads to a beautiful execution and this place proves that.

The food was overall great. When we went in it was litrelly empty which was a bit worrying but then delivery orders kept coming and going which probably meant the food was very good. So we went in to sit and it wasn't big the restaurant but it wasn't small abt maybe capacity of 20 people. The food arrived quite quickly and the food was surprisingly quite cheap for its portions. But the rice was a bit plain as they may not have added enough vinegar. But overall very good.

Absolutely delicious sashimi and very good portion sizes! Miso soup and tempura were very tasty as well. One of the few sushi places with outdoor seating. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely come back.
