Food is great! If you are lucky to get a good server, your experience would be way better than ours! We got there at 10am and ordered 2 croissants, 2 flat whites coffee, 1 orange juice, 1 açaí bowl, and 1 French toast. Everything arrive after 30 minutes except the French toast for our child. We waited for one hour and grabbed a waiter and asked. He realized that our waiter didn’t even put in the order of French toast for us! Now this other waiter said he can expedite it for us if we put the order in now. We decided to wait for the expedited French toast. Another 10 minutes later, we saw the kitchen kept sending out so many egg Benedict but still no French toast. That’s when we had to leave since we did have other commitments. The whole time, the waiter who made the mistake walked by us many times avoiding eye contact. He couldn’t even tell us what happened. It’s a shame since the coffee was very good, and the eggs Benedict they kept sending out looked great as well.

My review is based on our visit to the cafe area for breakfast. The staff are very accommodating and pleasant. The coffee was not great for my liking. It tasted quite sweet and was not very hot. However the food was fantastic. Nice big portions, hot, super tasty. The cafe has a nice ambience. There is outside seating. It's very accessible. There is a coffee tasting area and they also sell coffee beans and coffee machines etc. I would definitely recommend for the food and the prices are as you would expect in a cafe/restaurant such as this.

Did not stay here, but visited for the coffee shop and brunch. Just a street or so back from the river on the Gaia side. So very pleased we found it on our last day for lunch. Great deco, food, team and vibe. Suspect not a hidden gem, but perhaps one you need to know about. Def worth looking up and going, food was tremendous, flat white good and value also good. Do look up the nearby rubbish rabbit which is truly stunning too.

Honestly one of the best brunches in all of Portugal. Not just Porto. Full on flavours, wonderful ingredients, and passionate barista who can tell you the story behind each bean. You don’t need to love coffee to come here but you’ll leave here loving coffee more. On top of some of the most delicious brunch dishes I’ve had, the coffee is just incredible. We did a coffee tasting where we had a cold brew done over 24 hours, a pour over with a different bean, an espresso, and cappuccino. The brunch meal was with perfectly cooked eggs, well seasoned veggies, and lovingly plated. They really care here and it shows in the food and people working here.

It was great!! One of the best places to get coffee I have been in Porto. I got the Coffee Tasting and the Salmon Bagel and everything was perfect. They will explain to you everything about the coffee they serve. The staff is great. Service is quick and the place is really nice and quiet.

What an amazing coffee experience! The coffee was outstanding, food was delicious, service was genuinely some of the best we’ve had in Portugal. We ended up buying coffee to take home for our machine and cute Cups that they had for sale. 100% recommend!

Great service at the apartments, lovely receptionist. Beware the parking is very difficult and the cafe is okay. Breakfast at the cafe was nice, again ther servers were super friendly and always pleasant! Whatever little issues you may have should be forgiven for the location is great within walking distance of pretty much everywhere!

We love this place for coffee and brunch. Their coffee is delicious! We always get the Cappuccinos! They put a pretty design on the top! We also have brunch, the food is amazing! Good location tucked around back near some of the port cellars. A must try next time you are in Gaia!

Great place to work. The space is great, big open, nice terrace, cool interior. I had an iced latte with soy milk and loved the taste! However my mum had a normal cappuccino and did not like it much. Staff is not especially friendly but also not unfriendly, just neutral.

The coffee is great, the people are very nice. However on our second visit We ordered food and coffee to go and it sat in the window for 10 minutes when we asked for it several times. In the end waited 40 min for our egg sandwiches that had no egg on them and the toast was dry :(

We went here two days in a row for morning brunch while on vacation in Porto. Great place to have a coffee and breakfast. Staff is really nice and friendly. All ingredients were really fresh and the coffee tasted amazing.

There was a lot of us in the group - about 20 people across two long tables! Very accommodating for last minute. The food I ordered (burrito - it was a bit spicy) and coffee was delicious and the space is beautifully decorated. The additional pictures are from other orders on our table! There was a little hiccup with some food items as expected but the team did a really good job dealing with those and got everything sorted.

Only had brunch here, didn’t stay. Absolutely fantastic food and even better service. The veggie wrap with tofu was phenomenal as were the nachos and the coffee. The bean burger was good but didn’t match the high bar set by the other dishes. The service deserves a special mention. For the child, we had ordered pancakes with the toppings on the side. By mistake, they put the toppings on the pancake. When serving the food, they acknowledged that they had missed the request and offered to remake the pancakes which we turned down. Overall, if you are on a port tour in Porto, would highly recommend having a meal at this wonderful cafe.

My friends and I enjoyed their smash burgers, medium rare. Good flavor, well prepared. Setting allowed us to enjoy our lunchtime conversation within steps of the river walk. Finished off the meal with flat whites. Waiter was attentive without being intrusive.

Perfect in all aspects - whether it is the location, cleanliness, quality features, superb breakfast and of course, the warmth of their staff working both in the apartments and cafe! Best apartment you can stay in if, like us, you choose to base yourself in Gaia, with its very own cafe that has the best quality coffee in all of Porto! We will definitely come back again!

Hidden gem along a small street in Gaia, just back from the riverfront. The cafe does amazing breakfast, brunch and lunch snacks and meals at great prices. I had Eggs Benedict first day and had to return next day for an English Breakfast. The coffee is out of this world! If you like your coffee you cannot miss this place! Friendly staff and fab building.

You should definitely check it out! The chicken and waffles were delicious, and I also tried their lattes and dirty chai, which were equally fantastic. The staff there is really welcoming. What's cool is you have the option to sit at a communal table with others, making it a great spot for socializing. Would recommend!

One of the best roasters we’ve visited in Porto. Both the food and coffee were spectacular. Interior is modern but cozy with plenty of space for everyone. The V60 with special beans is worth splurging for, as is the English breakfast. This place lives up to the hype for sure.

7 Gaia Roaster Apartments is located in the heart of Porto’s wine district, right on the riverside promenade. The location is perfect especially for short stay - walking distance to many attractions. The apartment was fully equipped, very clean and cozy. The whole place has beautiful design, is very clean and maintained. There is also a lot of green space. The staff was very nice and helpful. One more thing worth mentioning was the delicious breakfast. Good value for money! We have a lovely stay and highly recommend this place! :)

Our group had an unpleasant experience in the restaurant. We had to eat close to an open door on a cold winter day. The waiters refused to close the door in order to serve the tables outside more conveniently. There was another service door avilable. We requested to close the door several times, yet the answer was to put on a jacket and no readiness to listen to us or to solve the problem. It's a pity the waiters are not customer-oriented because the place is beautiful and food options are good.

One of THEE best places I’ve ever stayed. The service from start to finish is excellent and the staff in 7g coffee are so friendly and accommodating and make you feel special as a guest. Stayed here 3 times already and will continue to come back and recommend to everyone visiting Porto!

The BEST coffee place in Porto and the greatest coffee too! make sure you stop off here when visiting, you wont regret it! We loved it so much we did the coffee tasting experience 4 times during our stay! We are currently travelling the world and this is one of the friendliest places we found in Porto. Follow the adventures @crunch_it_creative (instagram) Thank you for making us feel very welcome! We miss your cappuccino!

Great place to eat! My son had New Mex brunch. I had English muffins with salmon and bacon. We both had cappuccino that were amazing!! Highly recommend for great coffee or a nice meal.

Great breakfasts, you get everything very fast after ordering. Cappucino a bit too milky like everywhere on Porto, but the breakfast was the best we had The atmosphere feels like more for working on your laptop, but everything was good quality and we liked it

Very good speciality coffee, I had a Batch brew for the first time and was pleasantly surprised (because I’m one of those V60 pour over snobs) - definitely opened my eyes to how the quality of coffee and how it’s prepared before brewing can make a huge difference to the end result. I even bought some of their “Legendary” beans and it was amazing.

Spotted 7g Roaster on Google maps as we were going to a port wine tasting. Popped in for coffee and a croissant. We tried the coffee tasting which we both really enjoyed - very different. The staff were really good and very informative. Great stop off place for coffee and brunch.

Amazing food and amazing service. The food arrived so quickly and the staff are so so nice and kind. They took good care of everything. Also the place itself looks really cool and the atmosphere was friendly. It deserves 5 stars easy

We only had brunch here. Finally good coffee 😁. Food was tasty, medium portions and a bit pricey. The service was very friendly but slow and it was really challenging to get the waitress attention. Overall we spent there more than an hour...

  • 5/5 R J. 10 months ago on Google
Wow! It’s clear the staff are passionate about the coffee and I can see why! I tried the tasting experience and it did not disappoint. So delicious from start to finish and very reasonable in its price for such quality. I will definitely be returning to try the food, but also returning for the top class coffee and wonderful staff. Thank you!

The place is spacious and well decorated. The coffee was good with little sour taste. The amount of sandwiches were great, but the bread was a bit dry and hard. We tried one with ham and cheese, the other with chicken and bacon. The flavor of chicken was good, but it is quite dry. The price was high for the food quality they offered. A place to have coffee and snacks near the tourism center.

Just one block from the river front, 7g has a cool location with cool decorations and lots of food choices. We went for brunch and had the tacos, pancakes and an avocado toast. Everything was great, the service was well-organized, and the waitresses were very welcoming and gave good advice.

A lovely coffee shop, nice and big with lots of space. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The coffee is amazing and the breakfast is also very good and the brownies too. They are also very accommodating with people wanting to work. The internet was not working the whole time we were there, so that is one down side.

Great coffee, we tried all 3 options for espresso they had on the grinder and each one was interesting and good! We even bought beans from the one we liked the most. However the cheese cake was not that good. But the coffee it’s worth it!

We ordered large cappuccino and hot chocolate. It was smaller than we thought and more expensive than other places but the coffee tasted okay:) Hot chocolate tasted like just mixed of coco powder with hot water.. I’m not sure why this place so popular

I kept thinking of how I should give this place the 5 stars it deserved, ever since we visited it back in 2021. The dulce de leche pancakes with churros were the best pancakes I've had in my life so far 🥞 This was our first coffee tasting experience and was totally worth those 9€, if not more. We tried cascara for the first time, the waiter nicely explained what it was and guided us through the whole tasting patiently. It was a shame we were in a hurry and couldn't spend more time here 😢

Amazing food, very good service. I love the fact that they roast thier own blend of coffee. Will come back when I'm Porto in the future

Great place to have a coffee, the sandwich has a good size and is delicious. I would recommend just a few improvements: 1. The cappuccino was cold, it should be warmer. 2. The coffees arrived way earlier than the sandwiches, we finished all coffees before the food, I'd prefer them to arrive together.

  • 3/5 Nick 1 year ago on Google
Great concept with the the coffee tasting and the coffee was very good as well. Unfortunately we didn't realise you have to tell them when you want your next coffee which I suppose makes sense but an improvement could be to have a member of staff coming over to ask. This just meant we had to take our last coffee away with us Food was okay but again took around 40 minutes to come Would come back again for the coffee

Brilliant, clean and quiet rooms (if a bit understated). Fabulous breakfast with excellent service at the front desk and an amazing location. The coffee Roastery downstairs is also a fabulous touch. On the last night I had noisy neighbours across the hall for a brief time and I could hear them, but that's because they were shouting and nothing to do withthe rooms themselves. I will be back.

This might be the best coffee shop in Portugal. I ordered the coffee flight. It was a delight. I tried cascara for the first time and it pleased the palette. Finally, the beans I purchased to brew at home turned out to be exceptional. The dine in experience is very pleasant due to the bright earth inspired decor. One tip for visitors is that this place gets busy and it is located in a very touristy area. I was a tourist when I visited, but I could see how a local might not be up for the adventure.

Really nice location and good coffee. I ordered toast and 2 poached eggs and my meal was fine. My wife got loaded fries and they were awful! The fries were really thin and undercooked with some slop on top. Looking at food other people were ordering I’d just stick with drinks here.

  • 5/5 Denille O. 1 year ago on Google
This place was fabulous! Might be the best breakfast and coffee we had in Portugal. Found it by accident, and loved every bite! Very friendly staff and inexpensive! Wish I'd taken a picture of our food!

A truly remarkable place to grab an amazing tasting coffee from regions afar to savor and enjoy in a relaxing, viby environment. The staff are what truly make the place exemplary and offer great person-centred service! As a coffee connoisseur, I sampled truly amazing, home roasted coffees from Colombia, Brazil, Ethiopia and Burundi. They have many methods of coffee brewing that are just world class.

This place is simply amazing. One of the best coffee shops I have ever been too. We had espressos, filtered coffees(v60 and aeropress) and brunch(including cake). Their specialty coffee is very very very good, the ambience is modern, well decorated and with lots of space and they have an enormous variety of delicious food. They are able to put together good coffee and tasty food in one place and this is not very common. Their staff is also very charismatic. Even their playlist rocked! When I go back to Porto this will definitely be my first stop! :)

  • 5/5 Erik S. 2 years ago on Google
I had the coffee flight, it was a great experience and value. I am a coffee nerd and these guys know their stuff. The cappuccino was the best I've had in my life. High quality beans and brews!

Very cute place, with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I was there on Wednesday for breakfast with friends. I loved the capuccino, probably the best one I’ve had in Porto. The Eggs Florentine were our choice, but we weren’t quite happy with it. Just ok, a bit too salty, with a depressing little salad on the side. The croissants could be fresher, that would have made a difference. Jam was good though.

My review is of the cafe/restaurant. We loved our brunch here - the chicken and waffles were perfect, the smashed burger was also fantastic. Great coffee as well. We will be coming back before we leave Porto

  • 4/5 Alex Z. 1 year ago on Google
All I had was coffee there (flat white), which was excellent, but ... well... this area of Gaia/Porto is completely targeted towards tourists. The cafe is modern, great space and food/drinks, and it looks a lot like some many other high-tech establishments in tourist hot spots in the world. Anyway, you can eat your Nata here, but just know that this is not your typical Portuguese confeitaria.

Unfortunately, the food was not good and the service very poor. I had a chicken burger, the meat was of low quality, probably raw (in some parts) and for sure undercooked. The waiter explained to me that it was a special kind of chicken, which just had a rose color. Only after telling him, that I will not eat this and suggesting to put it on the grill again, he offered to do so. 5 -10 minutes later he served me the same plate with cold French fries, a burned breading, that you could obviously not eat as it was hard, but at least the chicken was a bit less rose, which proved that it was undercooked …but obviously not possible to eat any more as the breading was completely burnt, while the brad was still not toasted enough. Unfortunately, the waiters just did not care ..and were not service oriented at all. Next surprise came when I wanted to pay for our food: obviously there was an issue with the electricity (no power outage): according ti the staff the whole system (which included also the order and payment process) had fallen out …ok this can happen (so I am not blaming them here) but again the service handled it all very unprofessional. The waiter asked me to please wait and he would bring a coffee on the house. There was no update at all, 5 -10 minutes later I asked the waiter again that we would like to leave and can’t wait here until there system works again. Surprisingly it was possible to pay, but we had to declare which food and drinks we had consumed. After telling the lady at the cash desk that the food was not good and of poor quality I just did not receive any comment and have been just ignored. So based on this experience I would definitely not recommend the restaurant. The food of my boyfriend (classic beef burger) was OK (average), the juice not very good.

I’m from Porto and my experience here does not align with the spirit of Porto locals, who are generally friendly and nice. During our meal, one of the staff members was extremely unpleasant. Despite the freezing weather, he insisted on having the door open, which meant we had to eat with the coat all the time. It is disappointing that one employee can ruin the entire experience at this restaurant. I will definitely not be returning.

I popped in past here for a coffee and a sweet treat. Absolutely fantastic spot! The coffee was delicious with the accommodation of alternative milk and the pastel de nata was just perfect. The staff were super helpful and really lovely - great atmosphere all round!
