Lack of parking is another serious problem at this hospital. 3 girls at the Ageas Seguro counter and none of them seem to be working with pleasure or at least doing what is their job and are paid for. They make us feel that we are not welcome and they are there to do us a favor. They complicate what is easy many times, gives the feeling that they take pleasure in seeing people despair. I came to see a room full of patients waiting to be attended and one of them Ageas girls , gets up very calmly, stops attending people, picks up her lunch box and goes to have her lunch in the greatest of relaxation even that the feeling in the room is full of tension and people awaiting for more than 2 hours to see the doctor. The way this hospital is run, I am not surprised that someone told me that in recent years this hospital has lost many contracts / protocols with insurance companies that preferred to seek better care for their clients in other hospitals. A bit awkward in a hospital but... Positive point goes to the cafeteria where the employees are friendly, humble and show pleasure in what they do and in serving well even though they are perhaps the most underpaid.

Detalhe a consulta era para 12.30hs e o médico em causa tinha consulta logo no início da manhã se tivessem logo que souberam que ia faltar avisado tinha evitado tanto transtorno. Perdi 1 dia de trabalho(€) porque era consulta para o meu filho, despesas de portagens e a gasolina. Pedi para falar com a pessoa responsável para fazer uma queixa formal, outra vez surpresa: ficaram de má vontade a me mandarem de um lado para o outro e sai de lá sem ser ouvida ou me darem qualquer explicação. Péssimo serviço prestado, atendimento ao público fica muito a desejar. Quando não querem ouvir as pessoas que utilizam o hospital é sinal que não estão abertos a críticas e se não estão abertos a críticas não estão preocupados em melhorar e a prestar melhores cuidados de saúde. E falando em saúde é mesmo muito mal!

    Chama-se miguel trigueiros, é cirurgião ortopedista no Hospital de Santa Maria no Porto. Operou-me neste hospital a um joelho em Setembro de 2021 com a promessa de que resolveria o meu problema. A seguir à cirúrgia disse-me que tudo tinha corrido muito bem e que dentro de 2 meses estaria totalmente recuperado. Dois meses depois não só não estava recuperado como me sentia pior do que antes da intervenção cirúrgica. Dores permanentes a caminhar, impossibilidade total de correr, o joelho constantemente a inchar pelo líquido produzido, o que nunca me tinha acontecido. Tentei ligar-lhe, não me atendeu. Foi-me marcada uma consulta para 3 semanas depois apesar das dores e das fortes limitações que sentia e que referi no telefonema realizado para os serviços do hospital. Escrevi-lhe uma carta a manifestar o meu desagrado mas não me respondeu. Tive de recorrer a outro cirurgião para tentar atenuar as consequências mas foi-me dito que o mal estava feito. Actualmente caminho com dificuldade, com dor e sinto-me incapacitado. Antes da intervenção cirúrgica fazia caminhadas de 6 a 7 km sem dificuldade. Actualmente não consigo caminhar mais do que 1 km sem que tenha de parar com dor. Também não consigo estar de pé parado mais do que 5 minutos porque a dor transmite-se às costas e não mo permite. Muitos meses depois, não vendo qualquer evolução favorável sobre o meu estado, sou forçado a concluir que este médico me incapacitou para o resto da minha vida.

(também não quero!). Repugnante esta arrogância. No Hall de receção fiquei chocado com as funcionárias da limpeza a recolherem o lixo dos caixotes à mão (essencialmente máscaras dos utentes) e depois, com a mesma luva, arrumavam as cadeiras de rodas, que eram usadas por utentes e outros funcionários para transporte de doentes (Plano COVID19 baseado na economia de sacos de lixo).

O médico que era muito educado pro sinal estava a espera e a atendente dando chilique ao invés de propor alguma soluçáo!!! Pra trabalhar com o publico é necessário educação. De certa forma tenho certa culpa por nao ter o SNS comigo porém o processo deveria ser facilitado. E com educação e tato se resolve tudo, principalmente na área de saúde. Se esse hospital fosse público eu até entenderia a limitação!

    I had a great experience on a Sunday morning at Santa Maria hospital. I went to see a General Practitioner around 11:15 without having an appointment. I first call the hospital and the receptionist told me that I can come. Although I could not speak Portuguese but the security was friendly, he just ask for my identity card, I gave him my passport since I'm not from Portugal. The receptionist too was friendly (She could speak English). Since, it was a Sunday, there was no queue for me and the place is very clean. And as a first time patient who didn't have a medical insurance my consultation was 60 EUR. I was happy that the doctor also could speak English. The doctor was very attentive and she also explained my prescriptions very well. Although I hesitated to go there because of all the negative reviews, I guess we will have different experiences. Remember it was a Sunday...Best wishes!

    Doutora Ana Cristina Ribeiro foi a pior consulta com endocrinologista que já fui na minha vida, rasa, sem empatia e desesperada para finalizar a consulta e ir embora. Procurem outro profissional ou deite seu dinheiro no lixo, só não dou 1 estrela, pois o hospital é bom. A minha vontade era sair sem pagar, pois até a minha médica da família é mais especialista que esta “médica”.

    Absolutely positive Staff speaks English, from reception to the doctor. For technical reasons I couldn't pay by card and didn't have any cash with me. I was able to go to the nearest ATM without much suspicion. I absolutely recommend this clinic - even on Sundays.

    I can’t commend the doctors and all the staff enough… they all were absolutely fantastic! Being English speaking and not understanding Portuguese, the staff went out of their way to assist me by actually walking with me to the ultrasound section and later the CAT scan section… always being super friendly and helpful. The staff and doctors at this hospital are of the most professional I have experienced and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly, highly recommended!!

    We were on vacation with our kids and my son was declining rapidly. We never received service but they do not treat children here and had no pediatrician on call even though their website says they did. Also, no one could speak English and we struggled to communicate. We ended up at hospital luisiadas Porto.

    We had an excellent experience here. My partner and I had to visit the Emergency Department while on holiday, and even though we spoke zero Portuguese, everyone was very helpful and spoke english. Service was very quick and we were in and out in less than an hour (as compared to 4 hour A&E waits in london). We only had to pay an €18 international tax too!

    We had a emergency and the doctor give to us an appointment without a booking, they speak in English. And the cost of GP was 60€ . We had a really good experience. Also they start with GP at 8am.
