The Church of Saint IIdefonso - its a beautiful church with the traditional blue tile wall in the front . There is also a square in front of the church which make it a grand entrance and good for photographer.

A very old Church with a nice top view of the city. I was very surprised how old the building and the nearby houses were. The church is easily accessed by public transportation. Then I walk around the area and had a francicinia, a traditional portugal dish, which is a bread covered with cheese and potatoes. The dish was good but extremely high in calories.

What a beautiful church! I can only speak for the outside, becaue we only peeked inside since there was a small fee. Thait seemed like what most people were doing, but just the facade is a sight to behold in itself. There's plenty of tilework on the exterior of the church to admire and the blues are so pretty! We came by on a Monday at around 4 PM and it was pretty quiet at that time. Good stop to make while in Porto if you're into unique tilework.

Religious, baroque, neoclassical and neobaroque architecture. Church with a longitudinal plan, with one nave, internally defining an elongated octagon, and a deep chancel, with several attached volumes, some of later construction, with neo-baroque language in the stonework elements. Harmonious main facade, completely covered in blue monochrome tiles on a white background with scenes alluding to the patron saint, dating from 1932, characteristic of the Churches in the Porto Region in the first half of the 20th century.

This is one of many churches in Porto city center. This church is located near Batalha square, Porto. Before crossing Santa Catarina street from Batalha area, you can see the church. I pass this church almost everyday. Pros: 1. The church is very old. It has beautiful architecture with its blue tiles. 2. Free admission to enter to the church. 3. It is not almost open for the public. It is only on the specific hours to enter to the church, mostly is in the morning. Cons: 1. Entrance is not accessible for wheelchair.

This Church stands at the southern side of the pedestrian Rua Sta Catarina street, opposite the Chapel of Souls which is on the northern side. While the Chapel of Souls has more dramatic Azulejos tiles on its facade, it is packed among other buildings there. Contrary to it, the Santo Ildefonso stands isolated and little bit elevated which adds to its beauty. However, it was closed around 2 PM, so we just admired it from a small square in front.

Small church located near my hotel. Entrance fee is very reasonable, only 1 euro. You get to visit a small museum inside the church.

The small church is on a little hilltop. It was built in early 18 century on the site of a medieval hermitage. Although the church itself was old, the exterior blue and white tiles were painted in 1932. It has beautiful interior as well. The entrance is €1. Google says it’s free which is incorrect.

First, we had a small dog, and we asked if we could come in. And they let us in if the dog would be on hands! The entry fee is 1 euro. It's good idea to spend such small amount of money and get inside, at least because of beautiful stained-glass windows. I have never seen such a style in churches before. They look quite shape of art and unusual.

The old and beautiful church with Azulejo. The appropriate is similar to Ouro Preto Brazil church. They have also small museum organized. It’s a calm and not crowded place. It’s worth to visit. It’s easy to access when you down the street from Capera das Almas.

It's a nice church Inside and out, I'm aware they don't open everyday since we came on the weekend and it was closed but came again on a Tuesday and we had the chance to enter inside. You pay a donation of 1€ to go inside. It also includes a little walk to their museum (very small one). The church inside is very old, but from what we saw, it wasn't that well maintained. The museum was nothing special. For 1€ you can have a little entertainment here and take some pics

(Translated by Google) The exterior is exceptional, rich in azulejos majolica. One of the main attractions of Porto. It can be easily reached by tram 22 which stops in front. The facade has an irresistible charm, the rest would need a restoration. It is located on a square with a side street that goes down to the river where the nightlife area opens up. Baroque style. Interior not particularly interesting. Stile barocco. Interni non particolarmente interessanti.

The exterior of this church is hard to miss - imposing atop a small hill. But it is also worth a visit inside. For €1 you can see the church and a charming little museum attached. Closed on Mondays.

Located on a top of a hill stands this ornate church, that is quite stunning with its tile facade, it was especially nice at Christmas due to the Chrissie lights adding to the atmosphere, the interior is also worth a look.

17th century Catholic Church in Porto, Portugal. The detail of every bit of this church is amazing. 2 euros donation to enter and there is a lot to see inside. There’s also a few floors of museum pieces. Definitely worth the visit!

Stunning exterior, depending on the time of the day you go there is a market which is cool or bars with great atmosphere. Sometimes during the day and night though the homeless and drug users sit by the stairs and harass you which isn't ideal.

I feel happy and proud to have chance to visit this church, one of the most beautiful in Porto. There is a museum of Sacred Art with 8 halls presenting unique pieces of policromic wooden sculpture, embroidery, silversmith, academic paintings in best Portuguese traditions. My best recommendations for visit.

A nice quiet church in Porto with the familiar blue and white tiles adorning the exterior. The day we visited the church itself was closed, but even from the outside, it is something that is worth seeing.

Lovely square it is situated in. Quaint and quiet. Great parking. Service was being held on our visit so it made it extra special in the local language. Cemetery near entrance was amazing as well. Had many family chapels with tile and old world architecture.

The Church of Saint Ildefonso is a beautiful and historic church. This was one of my favorite churches to have a chance to experience in Porto. I really like the architecture and tiles on the exterior and all of the intricate designs on the outside and inside. I really enjoyed the experience of being here and being able to feel all of the centuries and history here.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful Baroque church located in the heart of Porto, which stands out for its tiled façade, as you may have already observed, the decoration with tiles abounds, it is true that it protects well from humidity, but it is clear that they try to imitate Chinese porcelain. The motifs are blue as in the rest of the monuments of the city, so it is also worth stopping to observe it.
