I
bought
an
Equation
9000
BTU
air
conditioner/heater/fan/dehumidifier
at
Leroy
Merlin
for
299€.
I
was
sold
this
product
with
the
promise
that
it
would
cool
a
division
up
to
18m2,
I
tested
it
in
a
room
of
10
m2
and
it
really
didn’t
deliver
on
this
promise,
hardly
cooling
down
after
having
it
on
for
a
few
days.
I
was
deceived
into
buying
this
fake/misleading
product
based
on
false
and
untruthful
information
so
I
went
to
the
store
and
tried
to
return
it.
They
did
not
accept
my
return
on
the
grounds
that
the
house
policy
(NOT
COMPANY
POLICY)
will
not
accept
the
return
of
seasonal
products.
It’s
not
a
seasonal
product
as
it’s
a
heater/air-conditioner/fan/De-humidifier
and
is
for
use
the
all
year
round.
However,
this
information
didn’t
make
any
difference
as
they
seem
to
make
up
their
own
policies
in
Leroy
Merlin,
Maia.
They
then
took
the
product
for
testing
and
I
returned
in
two
weeks
to
find
out
there
was
no
technical
faults,
it’s
clearly
just
a
bad
product
with
unrealistic
claims
of
capabilities.
I
asked
for
a
refund
and
they
refused
due
to
their
house
policy
on
seasonal
products.
Knowing
this
is
not
company
policy
I
then
went
a
different
Leroy
Merlin
store
to
return
it
as
their
website
and
online
customer
service
(tried
calling,
they
just
hung
up)
says
I
can
return
this
product
at
any
store
within
100
days.
When
I
try
to
return
it,
I’m
told
I
can’t
return
it
there
as
it’s
been
tested
in
the
Maia
store
(and
has
a
sticker
on
it
-
proof
that
there’s
no
damage
or
technical
faults).
I’m
told
I
can
only
return
it
in
the
Maia
store,
a
seemingly
impossible
task.
Having
lost
about
about
10
plus
hours
of
my
life
on
weekends
and
endured
the
discomfort
of
pulling
a
large
heavy
item
around
the
whole
of
Porto
on
the
metro
I’m
back
to
square
one,
at
home
with
what
I
can
only
describe
as
a
big,
heavy,
loud,
expensive
NON-SEASONAL
fan.
