I've been several times to this bar because the location is amazing but I've sadly noticed that recently (after the renovation I think) the staff has showed such an unkindness that I've never experienced anywhere else in Porto. Once I bought several beers to take away and I asked if I could use the toilet but they didn't allow me inside because I was wearing a beach dress (of course, this place is literally on the beach! And inside there are huge windows that face directly the beach, therefore clients are seeing tons of beach bodies all the time). Today my friend and I wanted to buy a bottle of water and a girl came to us speaking Portuguese in a very rude way, then when she saw that we couldn't understand she went to a waitress that was standing at the entrance and this lady came to told us that it was better if we went to another place, looking at us with quite a sniffy attitude. I don't know if it was because we were wearing beach clothes or what, but it's been really mortifying.

Just terrible service, rotten leafs of salad in the plate, portions are very very small, stuff has no idea how to work, despite they had totally free restaurant they put us at the table near the toilet. We were waiting for the meal 40 minutes and and it is even not a lunch time. Just 2 min walking other very good places

Lovely place. My family and I spent the whole afternoon here and couldn’t get enough of their cocktails and yummy foods. The view and atmosphere could not have been better. The service was also really attentive and friendly. Price was fair. Definitely a must try if nearby.

Good quality food for fair prices, especially for being right on the beach. The grilled octopus is especially good, though a little salty.

Beach front restaurant. You can see the sunset from here. The beach is quite active from wildlife, birds and such, to surfers and kids running around. Great people watching spot. Lots of food options from regular to vegan.

Fine place at the beach where you'll be overpaying. We were disappointed with the nachos, though the goat cheese starter was very tasty (small portion for the price). Same for wine, nice but too pricy. Conclusion: Fine place to sit at the beach, however, prices are simply too high.

Adelmo is the chef’s name, I landed here today and had a remarkable meal in a very peaceful environment that reminisce my middle name -De La Paz-, I had clams, with garlic, l tasted all of them and marveled at my fate, then came a succulent octopus with olive oil, spinach, and some delicious potatoes, l had a portugués rosé wine throughout the entire experience and l am overjoyed l landed here. I came a couple of weeks ago, is march, 25, 2023; came back to Porto and treating myself again to octopus.

Second time here, the first time the açai bowl was nice but the service was kind of weird. Second time the waitress was so rude and disrespectful that I would never go back to it. She asked me what I was going to have without offering a menu and then when I said I would have some nibbles and coffee she dismissed me and let other people in front that did not have a reservation.

Visited this restaurant without looking at the reviews and was extremely pleased with both quality of the food and service received. The clams were outstanding. I didn't have a squid but it looked amazing on the plate. Highly recommend.

Nice place directly with view to the Atlantic!

Food was quite tasty! The service could be better. I ordered a drink, a main course and desert. The only thing I got after 40 minutes was the main course. After waiting another 30 minutes I asked for my drink and my desert which was served but not very friendly. Also no apology. Atmosphere was not so good, because there was a war-movie shown on the TV with lots of blood...

If your not a local and want that special spot with spectacular views and ample outside dining this is the place in Matosinhos to head to for drinks, snacks or a full blown meal. Brunch, lunch and dinner served up all day. Totally English speaking friendly staff , service can get bogged down if the place gets busy.

Simply incredible, the sandwiches were some of the best i’ve ever had and the drinks were so refreshing… the waiters were fun and attentive, the sunset when we went back to eat for dinner was just sublime. Just remember to put a reservation if you can because the restaurant often has a lot of people waiting outside for a table. Would definitely come again and again and again.

Located towards the end of the beach, and directly accessible from it, this is s great bistro restaurant. Seating inside or outside, all with sea and beach views. The lemonade is particularly good, service was very prompt and friendly. A very varied menu, breakfast sandwiches, salads, fish (naturally), pizzas, pasta . Very family friendly also.

This place blew my mind!! the food was incredible and the atmosphere was out of this world! I can strongly recommend the seafood platter for two ❤️ it’s massive almost enough for 3 and delicious! Dessert looked amazing but I couldn’t eat another bite!!! I normally take photos but forgot because I got lost in this meal 🙌🔥

The food, atmosphere, and the service were great. We were a party of 11 people and told them that we have to leave in 75 minutes to catch our flight, and they were very fast in arranging our tables and bringing us the food. The quality of the food itself and its presentation was really good. Definitely try their seafood dishes. It's basically in the beach so you can take your time walking around while they prepare the food. I'd definitely visit this place again if I go back to Porto.

A real discovery during our trip to Porto. The restaurant is located at the beach, and sunset views are phenomenal. The food quality was amazing, too. Highly recommending their Cod fish and octopus specials. Highly recommended.

Seafront bar/restaurant with great views of the beach. We visited on a foggy day but it was still pleasant to sit outside and watch the surfers. Good service - we only stopped for a quick beer.

Great place with delicious and surprisingly big portions! Their desserts are also worth trying!

Very nice place by the beach with the view of the ocean. For a location - prices are more than ok. Tuna Burger delicious, nice piece of tuna inside, big plus that instead of French fries, you are getting the onion rings. Bacalao burger was ok, shredded meat had too much water for my taste. Place worth to visit!

The food not bad but not great, the serving has to improve, I came inside especially to eat in a clean quiet place but , even inside sand everywhere, rest is okay

More vegetarian options than expected! The Seitan Fettuccine was really good but a bit too oily and the patty of the vegetarian burger was a bit cold in the middle. We had to wait in a queue before getting seated but that is expected. Nice View and good service. Good place to go to with friends who want to eat meat without having only fries on the menu. English menu available.

Very nice location and almost immediate service( compare to Lais de guia where I was sitting 30 mins and tried to be more visible for the waiters😢). Didn’t try a lot of food there, only coffee, açai bowl, croissant/toast, soup. But it’s not bad. The one thing can not make me comfortable and want to back {here is the main topic for Portuguese places} - toilet. Absolutely no space inside to wash the hands, to go further to the cabin. And (!) cabins have holes, see the video For long time I can not understand why local places charging you like normal or over usual price and prefer to don’t care about the idea to create a minimum level of comfort for the guests. Why raining is the the place to make them start to think seriously about this and improve their toilets! Cheers

Probably the only place in Porto where both service and food were top quality. And I mean fantastic. The staff were very attentive, offered us a better table (with a view) when it became available and the food just blew our minds. Would absolutely recommend this place as it's one of the best places to eat in Porto. Can't praise this enough!

Great location with fabulous view of the ocean. Nicely decorated. We enjoyed pesto fettuccine and the seafood paella and the kids really loved chocolate fondant and caramel fondant. Wintry day but a warm welcome inside.

Good setting, nice interior and a great view. Staff were friendly and quick to serve. We only had a couple of beers so couldn’t judge much else but it’s a cool place.

Walked in off the street for a quick lunch. It was a lovely calm, relaxed atmosphere, great food and reasonably priced. I had the seafood risotto and couldn't believe how packed it was with extremely fresh delicious seafood. The prawns were cooked perfectly and it was very reasonably priced. We will be back again. The staff were fantastic aswell. I was trying to order in Portuguese which I'm not great at, but they were patient, friendly and attentive. I also needed to access the baby changing facilities and the room was spotless and spacious. The big comfy Mat was a great improvement on the solid plastic they have everywhere else and made it a lot easier to change our baby

Perfect place! I have never tasted better prawns and clams (not even in Michelin restaurants) like these ones! The attention, the view and the chef are amazing. I really hope you get this place to another level😎

Beautiful place to watch sunset with some of the friendliest staff in Portugal. Special shout out to the bald waiter, I didn't get his name but super friendly. We ate vegan pizza and vegan pasta which was filled to the brim with vegan chicken (I think Heura) and tasty if you like pesto! Would love more vegan options and variety between existing options though.
