This
place
was
recommended
to
me,
so
I
decided
to
take
a
visit.
It
was
just
after
the
busy
lunch
hour
so
I
got
in
at
the
right
time
without
a
queue.
I
ordered
a
chicken
kebab,
with
cheese
and
pineapple.
I
also
grabbed
a
cheese
chicken
lollipop.
The
initial
service
was
prompt
and
efficient.
I
asked
the
staff
member
to
add
some
chilli
sauce
and
mayonnaise
over
the
chicken
thatās
in
the
baguette.
I
made
my
way
upstairs,
as
that
is
where
the
seating
is.
I
took
a
bite
and
the
bread
was
crispy,
which
I
do
like.
Biting
into
the
kebab
and
whilst
the
flavour
was
fine,
without
being
anything
spectacular,
the
temperature
of
it
was
lukewarm.
The
accompanied
sauces
and
pineapple
does
add
a
nice
tangyness
to
the
kebab
and
the
flavours
do
come
out
more.
It
was
a
shame
that
the
kebab
was
not
served
hot.
Opening
up
the
cheese
chicken
lollipop
from
the
bag,
I
actually
laughed.
I
was
expecting
your
Indian-style
chicken
lollipop
but
it
was,
in
fact,
a
cutlet
on
a
stick.
Anyway,
the
temperature
of
the
cutlet
likewise
was
lukewarm,
which
was
a
real
shame.
The
taste
was
ok,
but
didnāt
really
standout.
The
main
issue
with
this
however,
was
that
there
was
not
any
taste
of
cheese
at
all.
One
wouldāve
thought
a
cutlet
with
cheese
inside
would
have
a
distinct
taste
but
there
was
taste
of
cheese
whatsoever.
I
only
ate
half
of
the
cutlet
as
this
item
did
not
appear
to
be
what
I
asked
for.
Before
leaving,
I
intended
to
let
a
staff
member
know
that
I
felt
that
I
received
an
item
that
was
not
as
described.
I
didnāt
even
take
issue
with
the
fact
that
it
wasnāt
really
a
cheese
chicken
lollipop,
but
that
there
was
no
cheese
taste
at
all.
I
approached
the
staff
member
and
explained
the
issue.
The
staff
member
seemed
quite
defensive
and
passive
aggressive
at
times.
The
staff
member
mentioned
that
all
the
āchicken
lollipopsā
are
cooked
with
cheese
and
that
the
cheese
probably
melted.
But
there
was
not
even
a
hint
of
a
taste
of
cheese,
which
is
what
I
attempted
to
explain.
This
seemed
to
fall
on
deaf
ears
as
the
gentleman
then
said
I
cannot
accuse
them
not
putting
cheese
in
(despite
me
not
even
saying
that)
and
that
it
is
probably
just
the
lollipop
I
had.
The
staff
member
then
offered
to
show
me
how
they
prepared
it,
which
may
have
been
sincere
but
isnāt
particularly
helpful
as
I
raised
an
issue
with
my
specific
order.
I
stood
around
for
a
short
while,
waiting,
but
realised
it
didnāt
appear
that
the
conversation
was
going
to
be
particularly
productive.
This
was
a
disappointing
end
to
the
experience
at
Shabaan.
Customer
feedback
is
gold
and
the
staff
member
should
have
taken
my
feedback
on
board
whilst
also
displaying
compassion
and
empathy.
This
was
not
on
show
at
all.
If
there
was
indeed
cheese
included
in
the
preparation
of
the
meal,
then
they
should
be
concerned
that
there
isnāt
a
taste
of
cheese
at
all.
Feedback
from
customer
to
business
is
extremely
important
but
mine
was
not
taken
on
at
all.
Instead
I
got
a
defensive
staff
member
who
continually
insisted
that
there
is
nothing
wrong
with
the
ācheese
chicken
lollipop.
The
fact
that
there
isnāt
a
taste
of
cheese
is
actually
misleading
the
customer.
The
item
is
not
as
described
on
the
menu.
This
was
a
great
shame
as
my
only
other
issue
was
the
temperature
of
the
meal,
something
that
can
be
rectified
quite
easily.
I
was
considering
giving
a
3
or
4*
rating,
but
whilst
the
initial
service
was
good
the
final
service
at
the
end
was
really
poor
as
well
as
not
receiving
an
item
as
described
and
the
staff
member
did
not
search
for
a
resolution
to
the
issue.
This
i
a
well-rated
restaurant,
so
I
hope
my
incident
is
not
a
recurring
theme
however
I
find
myself
hesitant
to
return.
