For me, one of the best experiences in Martinique. You pay the entrance fee and gradually go down into the jungle to the habitat. Since I was alone, the guide sent me alone, otherwise you go with the guide. There is quite a lot of water, so watch out for phones and such :) I recommend.

Amazing experience. The guides were very helpful and worth the cost per person. Wear watershoes as you need to walk and hike through rocks in the water and recommenda dry bag as you get very wet. The scenery is breathtaking. This is a must do in Martinique. We did with 4 kids age 9,10,12,15. Younger than that can be challenging.

Start the trial from George de la falaise parking point restaurant. The hike leads you directly to the departure point of Mount pelee (refuge restaurant- the only restaurant in highest peak point) in the mid way u will cross many different types of plantations. The view and ambience is mind blowing when u reach the top. If you are lucky enough u can see the view of Mount pelee (if the weather is good without any clouds). Try to start the hike early In the morning. So u can reach back to the parking lot by afternoon. There are different randonne (hike) with different distance. Select one according to your comfortability.

We had a great time. Water shoes orle sport shoes are necessary. If you have a waterproof bag, bring it with you if you want to be able to take some pictures. The path between the rocks is really nice. All green around!

From London on holiday. Great tour guide. Great experience. Bring swimwear and closed shoes and a towel. My fiancée said this was her favourite part of the holiday

A very cool experience to walk in the river between two towering rock walls all the way to a beautiful waterfall. There is a steep climb down and and back up after the gorge, but definitely worth doing if you are in the area.

This is a restaurant that is located next to where the hike starts. There is free parking and they charge 7 euro per person to get into the trail. Be aware that you get fully wet there so you got to figure how to protect electronic devices.

If you are in love with conyoning you should definitely consider to try this. It has a medium difficulty but the landscape is very beautiful.

Gorgeous! The waterfall was a breathtaking experience and worth every bit of the short hike and slight unease of leaving your car keys with a stranger. :) As with most of this island, this experience, though well travelled amongst tourists, is not very commercialized. There is a worn down booth where an island man gives you a ticket, shares a basic description of how to meet your waterfall guide and sends you on your way. Come prepared in a swimsuit only with water shoes and a waterproof case for your camera - nothing else. The stairs on the climb back are pretty challenging but again short lived relatively speaking. This was a definite top 3 experience of my trip.

A really great experience one should not miss when staying on Martinique. We could get a pair of shoes there for the tour and the guides were really nice. Pay attention to your glasses if you have a pair, I nearly lost mine in the river.

Really picturesque place, like a green canyon with a river and waterfalls. To reach the waterfall you walk IN the river, sometimes a bit climbing or even 2m swimming. The only downside is that 10 Euro entry it a bit pricey...especially because Martinique has lots of similar waterfalls for free...

It is really pretty, but the tour is so-so. 10 EUR per person is quite steep for what is basically a 10 minute tour for which you wouldn't even need a guide. But hey, support your local business and just do it. The climb towards the gorge is steep.

Great experience, shorter then expected though, less than an hour hike in total. 10 € fee per person, guided tours only.

I was dissatisfied because we couldn't do the tour because the trail was closed due to possible incoming rain ( it is a tropical island, so there is always a chance of rain). The restaurant lady also refused to serve us (a party of 10, including kids) despite we got there before the closing time.

Wonderful! Attention: really steep, not recommended for any larger knee/foot/ hip problems. Some climbing required, Water may go from knee deep up until the chest if it rained recently. Not recommended to bring young children. Bring them when they are bigger, and can enjoy the experience
