Always great to return to Beamish Museum. Step back in time to experience life in the 19th and early 20th century. Great value passes, pay once and you can revisit anytime during the next 12 months.

Good menu and not to expensive, helpful staff and very popular during the summer. Just one of the attractions within the Beamish Museum. Restaurant is actually above the old store and entered by way of a long ramp. Good transport links to and from the main entrance and hugh car park. It gets very busy during special events weekends and over spill parking can be a fair trek away.

Excellent to go back in time and also smell some of the products people regularly bought at the turn of the century.

Love this place, but one big problem is if you want to buy anything, nothing has a price on.

The man working in the Co-op was in character. He was very entertaining. He tried to sell us a corset and some pantaloons !!

Visited today for the Christmas Eve event. Kids both saw Santa and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Santa was brilliant. Two happy children, two happy parents. Thanks Beamish team.

Immerse yourself and celebrate the past. Appreciate how people lived, hardship, tough times and worked in communities. Realise how much easier life is in some ways today; how we have gained in many ways but lost a few important lessons along the way.
