What
a
wonderful
park!!
The
beaches
are
beautiful
and
both
have
their
individual
perks
--
East
Beach
is
more
shallow
and
perfect
for
children
who
are
learning
to
swim
and
enjoy
the
ocean,
and
has
a
lovely
view
of
a
suspension
bridge
nearby!
North
Beach
is
huge
and
expansive
with
lots
of
ocean
life
and
deeper,
clearer
waters.
Plenty
of
space
to
relax
on
the
beach,
play
in
the
water,
or
interact
with
local
sea
life.
The
historical
section
was
lovely
as
well,
we
enjoyed
walking
through
the
fort
and
reading
the
plaques
as
well
as
looking
at
the
provided
images
and
touching
the
huge
cannons
in
the
area.
Overall,
a
very
nice
learning
experience
for
those
who
enjoy
history!
There
is
a
LOT
of
wildlife
at
Fort
DeSoto,
especially
avians!
We
were
able
to
get
up
close
and
personal
with
several
bird
species,
had
a
school
of
stingrays
swim
around
us
in
the
ocean,
and
found
many
many
live
sea
dollars!
If
you're
a
lover
of
nature,
this
is
a
great
spot
to
experience
much
of
the
wildlife
Florida
has
to
offer.
If
you
have
a
chance
to
visit,
its
worth
the
time
spent
and
the
small
parking
fee!
Ask
for
a
map
at
the
entrance
and
enjoy
a
day
of
exploring
and
beaching
--
there's
a
gift
shop
as
well,
if
you'd
like
to
take
home
a
memento
from
what
will
surely
be
a
wonderful
day
at
Fort
DeSoto!!
