Smileys Deli is a local staple this is prolly the best "UNOFFICIAL CUBAN SANDWICH" in stpete!!!! 1sandwich can feed a small family, the salads are like 8lbs they literally weigh the meat before they make the sandwich lol this is a hidden gem in stpete all the locals go over here! come hungry and leave beyond full lol rip jasmine! they did get new owners last year but everything remains in tact :D

Best cuban in town! Order the Tony Montana and you won't be disappointed - it's loaded with pulled pork and ham. Comes with a garlic aioli that is delicious! Not only are the sandwiches great, but their desserts are amazing! Tried the Tres Leches and you can tell it's made with LOVE! Stop in and the friendly staff will take great care of you! (Ate part of the sandwich before remembering to take a photo.. It's HUGE!!)

A bit over rated. I got the plantain pork sandwich. It was unique but a bit bland. I had to ask for extra sauce to add a little flavor. The wings were a major disappointment. Although they were freshly fried, they were also very bland. Need a little seasoning !🧂

A otherwise delicious and generously portioned salad is unfortunately ruined by having to pick out a substantial amount of rotten lettuce. I thought perhaps the lettuce was just wilted on account of them putting hot chicken on top, but the rotten lettuce was even on the bottom. It would be perfect if it was just made with fresher lettuce.

I just walked in and asked for a Turkey Cuban and walked out with knowledge of this family owned business and as well I met a young man with a Bright Future in baseball. I'm in love with this place already. Best of success to Smiley's Deli. The sandwich is by far the best I've had ever! Literally... You're missing out if you haven't tried this place. So glad I found it.

I am hesitant to leave a poor review, as normally this is a go-to staple in our family, so please contact me if u see this and I will explain in more detail. We always order the salad with 1/2 pork 1/2 chicken cuz we can never decide which meat has a better flavor as they are both usually delicious. However this time lettuce must of been frozen as it was clear and brown leaves.... More details on the other food we ordered not so good. I did try to wings for the first time, and minus out the feathers, they were good. Just hoping it was a bad day due to supply chain issues and not the new norm.

I absolutely love this place. I haven’t had a bad meal yet. The food taste fresh and quality ingredients and the owner is always so happy and of course smiling along with a great staff. The service is helpful and fast for as many people there is in line. Please try this place for your Spanish cuisine taste buds!

Awesome sandwich. Had the Tony Montana which is a Cuban. Bread was crusty and soft on the inside, roast pork was flavorful! Tons of meat and topped with lettuce, cheese, tomato, onion and a delicious sauce. The beef empanada was also delicious! Highly recommend!

Some of the best meat in this perfectly pressed cuban with the most crispy seasoned fries. Can’t wait for round dos! Cheers!

Stopped in after noticing the deli while I was driving down central. Said to myself “man that looks like it’s probably a really good hole in the wall.” Tried 4 types of their empanadas, all amazing. Had a “Tony Montana” as well and wasn’t disappointed with it. The guy upfront hooked us up with pork, and rice with beans while we waited for our food to come out. That was amazing by itself. Definitely will be back to try out more of their menu. Great spot 👌🏻

Pretty tasty food the rice was excellent. Employees weren’t Latin so I was confused but the food was good.

I didn't even see this place after I had parked and was waiting on a client but kept noticing a steady stream of people stopping by and getting takeout. I took a chance and called and ordered a cuban. Very pleasantly surprised. It takes two hands to eat each section of this thing. Love it. Going back again as soon as I can like tomorrow for lunch. I tell everyone about it. I'm a fat guy so people take my recommendations seriously.

Since Smiley been gone the chicken sandwich is half size and the fries are not fully cooked. This was a 5 star place always. Something happened Monday Aug 29. It was not up to Smiley standards. I will give it a new try after Smiley straightens it out

My absolute favorite Cuban sandwich in all of Pinellas County. No, in all of Tampa Bay. Delicious every time. Food is great, prices are great & customer service is great. I usually call on my way so it's ready when I pull up. Today I ordered at the counter & waited just a few minutes.

Everytime I come to Florida to visit family, I try to stop here. And it never fails. Great food, Service and crazy good vibes. Wepa! Mi gente!!!!!

The staff was friendly, the sandwich had more than enough meat, like LOTS of sandwich meat! I personally thought it was too much, but it tasted good and was well worth the price.

First went here when they opened years ago. Since then, I have left FL but I'm currently visiting and have been so excited to have one of their sandwiches for the longest time. I attempted to acquire one 10/23/23 @5pm but they were closed despite google business hours. It would be a tragedy if the went out of business.
