Very relaxed place, good and knowledgeable guides, also very friendly. Entry fee is almost to nothing. For big groups like schools it is essential to book in advance.

One of our cultural places in Limpopo and this is what we are so proud of, because Culture is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people and in this case, Bakone are proud to have something like this

Visited the place 5/12/2020 with a group and it was an interesting and informative tour. Our tour guide even demonstrated how the people lived using the artefacts and explained everything thoroughly. Would definitely recommend.

Yes, This is an open air museum located outside Polokwane City AKA the City of Stars. Learn more about the architecture and the Bapedi s olden ways of living. They also have a short hiking trail which I am yet to explore. Covid Station is available and covid 19 rules are followed. Gideon is a very good guide who knows his story. Overall, you will enjoy the experience 5/5.

(Translated by Google) What a cultural visit! A proud guide of her roots who tells, who shows and explains the way in which these ancestors lived. A cultural exchange more than interesting! Away from the city of Polokwane, this tour is worth the detour! I failed in the exercise that was proposed to me: to make a fire with the ancestral methods! It takes a hell of a hand! (Original) Quelle visite culturelle !

I enjoy this place every time I visit here. Always something new to learn about people who lived in this area a few centuries ago. The surrounding nature is so beautiful and the hike up the Bambo hill is a very special experience.

We visited on the 24/12/2019 and it was empty, which is so sad because the entrance fee is just R15. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Our tour guide was welcoming, informative and demonstrated some examples as well. our heritage and culture need to be preserved. so grateful for this place. Great place to visit with the whole family.
