Are the roads good? No Is the walk to the falls well kept? No Is it worth it? Yes Horseshoe is beautiful, with pools to explore and very tidy facilities where you can buy drinks and ice cream. There are also triangular chalets that can be rented, however, the road leading to horseshoe falls is so ridden with potholes, you'll probably not want to drive anywhere unless absolutely necessary.

A lovely stroll through the beautiful trees and stunning rock formations to the waterfall is quite stunning. The waterfall is beautiful with clear water. So calming and so grateful for this beautiful country we live in. There were also clean amenities. Entrance fee is cheap and there is safe parking. Bit of a drive tho as the road is gravel and a bit bumpy. The tar road had many potholes. But it is definitely worth the drive. Leave footprints not trash.

A bit of a climb over some steep and rocky parts of a not so well maintained footpath through the forest, but well worth the visit. This is truly a serene place and my wife's favorite waterfall of all the ones we have visited during our week in Hazyview. R20 entrance fee per person is definitely money well spent. They also have some chalets here that you can book in for your romantic holiday, or just that absolute silent breakaway from the noise of the city, to go and recharge your batteries and revive your soul.

Absolutely beautiful waterfalls. One of my favourites in Mpumalanga. Easy access to the waterfalls (no strenuous hike). There are water pools that one could probably swim in if you wanted, with the most crystal clear water. The whole area is very clean and beautifully kept. There are also some lovely A-frame chalets that one can book to stay in with the most beautiful garden. Definitely recommend visiting here!

Beautiful place to visit but I don't think it is worth it unless you visit all 3 waterfalls on that road. The road is shocking so many potholes. The parking fee is R10 - R20 and each waterfall as well and don't leave valuables inside. The is a place next door called trout and about where you can do fly fishing for trout

Short walk to a great little secluded waterfall where you can get close and personal. What a view.

Although the drive is a bit hard, everything is forgiven once you reach these falls. Be prepared for a bit of climbing, but not too much.

Great location, and nice and untouched. Road there isn't the best. But manageable.

Absolutely beautiful, this waterfall has been kept in its natural state without any rails or man made structures. There is a beautiful forest trail to the waterfall and some natural pools to swim in along the way.

The falls are breath taking. The journey to get there is horrendous! Potholes galore, long remote driving, dirt roads... followed by a long hike into the forest. If you aren't into creepy crawlies, don't do this! Security is an issue. No guided hikes, you are on your own.

Absolutely beautiful with very neat restrooms. Coffee and sandwiches also available here. The road to the falls is not great, but totally worth it.

You have a beautiful hike through a forest for about 200meters until you get to the beautiful sighting of the falls. This is on private land and the entrance is R20 per person.

    Absolutely beautiful 😍

The roads to get there are absolutely terrible, dreadful and awful. We were also greeted by a terrible fact that we have to pay R10 a person. But the falls weren't bad and the views were nice

Looooong gravel road to get there. You will need lots of patience and careful driving skills. No network there, so bring cash for the R20 entrance fee.

Horse shoe falls trout fishing. Located in the heart of sabie, surrounded by the the beautiful Longtom pass mountains, and Lowveld forests, this family outing boasts a safe venue where guests can hike to the Horse Shoe Falls as well as catch trout at a small dam. With clean toilets, braai facilities, and a lot of trout related experiences, this venue is a must for any family. You can hire fishing gear and buy bate at the venue. And you can also see small pools of baby trout. Children can even play with the local cat and puppies. You can pre-book tables and sites, and the owner is a friendly gentleman with a lot of trout related info to share. You can also be fortunate enough to spot the local fish eagle.

The Falls are way smaller then the lone creek or the bridal falls but even though beautiful. The main issue in my opinion is the long, very rough dirt road leading there. It is manageable with an none SUV, but probably not for the faint hearted or if you love your car. The fee is 10 rand per person. There is also a shop for food and drinks, which was closed on my visit.

Well worth the short hike and affordable entry fee of R10. Nice infrastructure, toilets and cafeteria.
