Bad bad bad!!! Run far, run fast away this hotel. Worse than a R50 per night homeless people shelter. Leaking aircon, fixed shower head that is blocked (To get some water on your body is a safety risk due to a tiled sitting platform), water goes everywhere and floods the bathroom resulting in a huge risk of slipping an breaking your hip bone, towels old and torn (I didn't use them), no minibar fridge (had to drink a hot coke), cheap locks, no sode lamps, outmoded entertainment set, zero noise insulation, no mat/carpet, and you have to leave your room to make tea (Who designs like this). The room is not worth R1k per night, in my view, it should be R250 per night. On top of the R1k, they have the guta to charge R180 for breakfast. So in total, you pay roughly R1.4k for a zero star bed and breakfast. I have travelled South Africa, and this is the worst hotel I have ever been to. I feel robbed. Stay way and far from this place.

A star for its beauty Arrived with 20 wedding guests. No electricity, no water for 2 days. No communication. We were very unhappy with our stay.

Everything went wrong and the owners did not even try any solutions for us. The bridal party arrived on Friday, no electricity, no water. By Saturday morning no plan was made and they proceeded to the wedding with only managing to brush their teeth, no breakfast was served. We, the 2nd group arrived on Saturday, same story. Sunday morning still no power, no water, no plan either. We the guests, went to the shops to buy water and asked the lodge staff to boil the water so we can clean up. Breakfast plan? Nope! We bought a cheap braai stand, meat, rolls and made a plan...us the paying GUESTS!!!

It's in a perfect location but the room that was allocated to me it had a shower head that was constantly falling off, bedside lamps not working. Food very expensive but you are not given the option to choose what you want to eat. My diner was mashed potato, salad and fish that came with a stone ginger soft drink and I had to inform them I don't want fizzy drink that's when they offered bottled water. No desert and all that for R280

It's a nice place, where u can even host events n also have accomodation. But I do believe the place still requires further improvements especially for the price we pay. The most ridiculous price for me is 2500 per night for a family unit when I could pay 1500 at other more established accomodations. Things to improve... a) please provide teas and coffees n bar fridge in all rooms instead of paying extra 200 for that, especially tea. B) the forn towels, in other rooms where we booked towels were ripped C) provide more than one key for rooms. Couldn't believe you must leave key by the door if u want room cleaned cos there are no spare keys D) generators for load shedding, we all know there is load shedding everything. Don't inconvenience your tenants E) working microwave in the main kitchen F) after Cleaning towels were not replaced, there were no towels because they didn't have the rooms keu. I do love the aircons in the rooms and loved the hot water and shower pressure. The receptionist, Kgomotso - good service she provides - well done to her.

Coffee station and and atleast 2 water glasses in the rooms are standard. The lodge has great potential, service must be improved. No contacts in the room. Otherwise we slept well.

Great place, the Food is absolutely to die for. I can't describe just how wonderful the food is, it's rare to find a real culinary treat in the heart of the province.

The place is secured and quiet, which is a positive thing, the room was clean. The staff friendly and accommodating. Things to improve is to put kettle and tea/coffee in the rooms.

Pricing does not match offering, not competitive for the price point. There are other similar priced places which offer more resources. You can't pay R700 just for bed and shower. No bottled water, no kettle, no fridge, no microwave.

I have stayed for a month at the lodge. The service was good the first week but the rest of the time I found the service to be comprmised. Were I had to call the reception twice to let them know there was no water. Housekeeping also changes their sheets and towels at least on the second day. Generally,it is just okay

We booked a deluxe room which the shower was very dirty and had to be moved to another room, second room was worse, there was a huge spider that fell behind the couch only to find more dirt and dust underneath it, not to mention under the bed. There is a rusty hole in the ceiling from leaking roof. Crossed my fingers that it didn't rain for the night. I believe the cleaning staff is sabotaging the place by not cleaning thoroughly especially bathrooms. Otherwise it would have been a decent accomodation.

The room was comfortable and clean. Well organized. The downside was the maintenance of the lights, the bathroom light was not working on my day of arrival. I think it would be best to ensure that everything is intact before guests check-in. Otherwise, kudos to the friendly stuff

THIS IS WHAT R700 GETS YOU: 1) TV doesn't work. 2) There is no shower cap, no lotion, no shampoo, just a bar soap. I offered to purchase a shower cap & they told me they don't sell them individually on their premises but I could pay an extra R600 to upgrade to a standard room in order for me to get the aforementioned missing items. 3) No tea cups in the room or at least one rooibos teabag in the room as advertised on their website. There were only 2 cups in the shared kitchen with 5 rooibos teabags, coffee & white sugar. BRING YOUR OWN MILK because it's too exclusive & doesn't come with the package. I was assisted by the maintenance guy on everything because the people at the front desk all go to sleep at 21:00 pm...So I was told.

There is definitely a decline in service provision from the time Patong started. Booked a room yesterday and checked in then left to come back later that evening only to find that the room I was given was not cleaned and still had food remains from the previous users. Had to then wait for security to call the receptionist or attended to get me another room.Very disappointed in the fact that they gave a room without inspecting it,which caused waiting for the new one in the evening when all one wants to do is to settle and sleep. Despite the complaint raised and the receptionist evidencing the shambles that the room was in, there were no apologies. Then for the new room: 1. Ragged towels that were bagging for retirement for dear life. 2. An aircon that I increased temperature even till 30 degrees but kept on blowing cold air 3. A shower head that looked convincing but operated like a tap. Probably reached a business comfort zones? Whatever the case - disappointing

Booked rooms for two of my visitors. Rooms not inspected before issuing. Bath towels in a terrible state. Should have been used by cleaners for scrubbing floors and nit offered to guests in the torn state and discoloration they had. Aircon not working. Patong has definitely dropped the ball from what it was initially

There was no microwave, TV not working, no bar fridge; no cup and no cattle, all I could say is that the room had bed and bathroom. I stayed there for three nights and I was not impressed at all.

Towels are torn, pillow cases also torn. There is a spider and roaches in the room. You pay R700 and you don't get coffee satchets, no kettle. Ai Patong ke madupa fela.

The ambience at Patong is lovely; literally feels like you're breathing a different type of air. It's too quiet, beautiful, OH SO PEACEFUL and you feel right at home with the staff and those visiting the lodge. I loved it and I recommend to anyone.

The lodge is nice and clean. The room was big and had everything I needed. I just had a few issues I encountered: 1. I could not turn on the TV and there were no instructions on how to switch it on. 2. There was no water to shower in the evening. It was restored in the morning, even then it was coming out a little bit. I wish they would have communicated that they were having a water shortage. 3. No rechargeable lights to use during loadshedding so the room was just dark. 4. The quality of the breakfast is disappointing. 5. No wifi in the rooms I hope they can fix all these and they would have a decent establishment for the price they charge.

Its about one of the few better places in Lebowakgomo. Breakfast is R180 but the food is like wimpy breakfast, no value for money there. I went here on a very cold day, the aircon just couldn't get warm. No value for money here....

too unprofessional, female manager at the reception doesnt mind to talk about guest who is waiting there as if he is not there. you need wifi in you hotel rooms and make sure your booking systems are up todate..tgs thing of booking 1 week before but when you arrive you have to wait for 2hrs before they clean your room is too unprofessional.i dont know where is Mamoshabi cs things were better. coming back to wifi, what purpose does it serve to have wifi at the reception but not in the rooms,i were surpose to slp there but i checked out around 17h00 because where i rented or i stay there is unlimited wifi, why should i spend a night alone without wifi,cs i was just there to exprience your services and for peace of mind. guys look for people who completed their certificate or diploma in hospitality and correct this whole thing.

The fact the place looked so nice from the outside i expected the charm to last a bit longer. the fact they only had one Dis ability room was just disappointing. the level of noise at night, at some point i asked my wife to go see if they not killing each other. we woke up at 07;00 something we never do on weekends simply because of the singing outside. this is definitely the worst place i have visited. THE VIEW IS DISGUSTING IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE WE'RE IN A HOTEL, THERE IS NO PEACE BECAUSE OF THE NOISE, THE TOWELS ARE NOT CLEAN, THERE IS NO TEA FACILITY AND MICROWAVE SINCE THERE IS NO BREAKFAST SERVED. CHEAP TOILET PAPER. WITH THE RICE WE PAID I EXPECTED BETTER THAN THIS

Brought guests there and it was very embarrassing to be informed that they couldn’t take a bath because there was no water at all. How do you not have water backup? These were international guests and did have wifi in their rooms to communicate with family or hosts. This is so disappointing for a 4 star hotel guys! Come on!
