April 18, 2022 5 ☆'s - My husband had a Vitrectomy Pars Plana, which is a type of eye surgery performed by Kenneth John Taubenslag. He's an exceptional doctor who was professional and specific about the entire process from start to finish. I was very impressed with how he carried himself as a specialist. Unfortunately, I'm experienced in this department due to our family having had a large number of surgeons to deal with over the years. -1☆ For the 2 Afro/Black women nurses who seem to think that it is ok to ask personal relationship questions to males that they're attracted to due to their own intimate desires. Flirting is always alright, but to blatantly throw yourself at a married man, Really?Desperate women in the OR looking for men. Try Hinge and not the workplace searching for married men. This isn't professional. To further disregard a man's wife by lying to keep her away during post surgery recovery for their own personal reasons which had nothing to do with his wellbeing. Please note that this wasn't our first surgery. I was kept in the waiting room for an extended period of time. I actually decided to go back after realizing that something was wrong time wise, but was lied to and told that he was not ready for me to come back. He exited surgery around 230pm, so I should had been called back by 330pm at the lastest. No! I wasn't called until 5pm. There were NO COMPLICATIONS AT ALL during surgery or after surgery. Thirsty is never attractive women, especially when you're pregnant with another's man's child.

I was hospitalized in the behavioral/psych unit for a few days. While the doctor Patchan (I believe that's how you spelled her name) and her social worker/partner were amazing, the staff and nurses were the worst. The facility was filthy, nurses would take too long to tend to patients needs. One staff member in particular made some rude comments about my weight. I've stayed at one other hospital and I could say this one has a horrible time calming unruly patients. The lack of care from the ones we relied on was awful. I just have nothing positive To say about that place besides the therapist and social worker I saw before discharge. Please don't send loved ones here. Go somewhere else if you need it.

I'm still in the Midtown hospital on the 3rd floor soth.. I had to post this because I've been in a few hospitals and what I saw was beautiful. All the employees in the dietary, Janitorial, tecks and nurses on the 3rd FLOOR working 7am-7pm shift are on there game for real. I'm watching these individuals work and I see no flaws.. 3rd floor is exceptional and displaying professionalism with ease..They should be recognized and rewarded especially to show those who need motivation to demonstrate wht these employees do daily 👏And for whom ever is in charge, instead of looking for a blessing be a blessing..

I was hospitalized for 4 days in the mental/behavioral health department of this facility for a glitch in medication. I will say that I was generally satisfied with the treatment of psychiatrist Dr.Knight. However, my parents have both been in the healthcare profession for the last 40 yrs and I have seen/visited a decent amount of hospitals in my short 25 years of existence. I can honestly state that I was extremely disappointed in the professionalism of the nurses, security, and janitorial staff of this facility. I have never seen nor dealt with such ignorance of patient satisfaction/safety/cleaninliness. There was quite a lack of patient compassion/therapy/medication distribution, also. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this facility as any form of decent therapy or rehabilitation to anyone.

Letting Dr. Benjamin Oparah urologist scope me was the worst decision of my life, made everything worse. I've never been the same, only 34yrs old 🤕😢 RUN!!! It feels like this man went inside me with a blender and look like he was showing another medical person how to destroy another young man's life. He should never have the opportunity to do this again. Victims and lawyers please reach out 🙏🏾

It was dirty. It was unorganized. I sat in the hallway while the staff talked about me and how they had no idea what to do with me. It was unprofessional. The staff was in disagreement of the rules and procedures. Horrible horrible. I was upset when I got there and it got worse minute by minute. I tried to call and speak to someone regarding the matters. No response after 3 voicemailsthe ma

I wish I could give it a half a star. This is by far the worst hospital known to man. My Dr called me back into the hospital after a visit earlier. He said to go to the emergency room. I was here for 2 hrs they had called no one. Ive been here for 5 hrs. This is definitely not an emergency. I'm going home. I guess my Dr will call tomorrow if I'm still living. If not my daughter will be a rich young lady. I wouldn't take my pets to this hospital.

Security is useless and rude, nurses don't know how to wear masks, and the parking was charged despite having been validated.

My husband was in here for 2 days. He was on the 4th floor, South wing. The nurses and techs were very nice and helpful. They made our stay pleasurable. The nurses and staff that prepared him for eye surgery were a pleasure also. If you ever need a good eye doctor, go see Dr. Grumbine. I highly recommend him.

The staff here does not care about your well being. A bunch of people here just to collect a check. It's ridiculous! My friend has been here for a transfusion since 1:45p, got served at about 4p and now almoat seven hours later, still has not come to start bag 2/3. Front waiting room reeks of brown pee and the staff here 8 to one. When it should be at least two nurses per patient. Sad world we live in.

I was seeing at the infections disease clinic on the 7 floor, on the 12/22/23.on the moment they know I had COVID the Dr. made me feel like I had leprosy!:. This Dr. is in a hospital she works around sick people everywhere…! She told me “You should have not come here my father is 92 years old at my home”.! My question to this hospital is why is a Dr. more concerned with her father at home getting sick and she is the one working around sick people. This Dr. really made me feel like I needed to lock myself in my house and don’t go to the hospital… where should people go when they are sick? This Dr. work in a hospital, do she really think I was the only person with COVID that had to go to the hospital that day.? She made me feel like I was garbage. like I had leprosy, she kept saying I should not have been there that day… She keep telling me that she needed to get water. This Dr. kept telling me “I had to go and get some air”That is all she did for me… that day….A Dr. that is afraid of Sick patients.!!! Because she has a 92 year old dad at home.

The University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus staff went above, and beyond taking care of my mother. She was admitted in their ICU and the staff did an amazing job demonstrating authentic care.Carla Aresco - nurse practitioner, Dr. Gunman Parikh Neurogy, Micheal,Fumni and Elaine grateful for the care she received from the 5th floor staff ❤️ 3rd floor staff nursing team of Jamie,Christine and Audrey UMMC - My mom's care mattered!

This place saved my life 7 years ago when I went into the detox unit. Dr. Haze, and his staff were the best. I would have died if it weren't for them. Thankfully I made a full recovery. Thank you Midtown campus staff/doctors for being so wonderful.

I had a great experience here back in 2019, very friendly staff, great service. Only bad thing I suggest staff not have there phones when taking care of patients. Other than that it’s a great hospital.

I was admitted to this facility for a recent RSV infection. I had the pleasure of meeting Debbie Wright & Darryl Grant Respiratory Therapists. They were awesome, knowledgeable, professional and cared about me as a patient. The rest of the staff was horrible. They never changed my bed, offered to he[p me with my care or showed me any kind of compassion that I deserved as a patient. I reported my concerns to John Evans (pt. advocate) and nothing changed. I will never come here again. The 5 stars are for the respiratory therapists I mentioned and not for this faciity.

Amazing care! From the front desk, admissions, pre-op, OR staff, surgeons, doctors, recovery, and inpatient floor staff and nurses, this place is the best hospital I’ve ever been to in my life!

Whatever, whatever lady that answered the phone as a receptionist, she is rude as hell. I will never go to you MMC again I will definitely need to find a way to have my child somewhere else because these people in here and clean the security they have nasty as attitudes and this is someplace I would never want to bring my family myself all my child.

To make matters worse the Med Techs and Nurse don't seem to be considerate towards patients. In a shared room they seem to be inconsiderate towards they other patient in the room, they slam things around, talk loud, and interrupt you resting.

My son never liked or accepted ANY TYPE of inpatient stay However, My son was transferred to The University Of Maryland Campus. My son called me and asked me to give a good google review to the University Of Md. This is a behavior my son has NEVER displayed. He said the staff was making sure he’s comfortable He said the staff are answering all of his questions and not ignoring any of his concerns He said the security officer’s there treats him with kindness and respect. He sounds bored but he sounds happy He sounds safe He sounds like he can now focus on the reason why he is there and not have to focus on his safety within his surroundings He said a special Thanks to Miss Alonna and Miss Michelle for their time , love and assistance in making him feel important Our children are our gifts from God & When it comes to our children we always want to know that they are safe, happy not struggling for anything. Thank You University Of Maryland for making my son feel like he’s home when he is away from home. You are the vision of what it’s like to be loved. A million hugs back atcha!! Donnetta McCormick
