This pizza is on my Top 3 Pizza list for what it’s worth. Everyone has their favorites and style of pizza, obviously this is mine! Great job! Pizza is my favorite and I try as many pizza places as possible when traveling for work or pleasure. The crust was excellent, thin and crispy. The Flavor was exceptional. Overall the pizza was amazing.

We went with the promise of pizza by the slice—we got something else. We got a whirlwind of tastebud teasing, brain-bending, late night culinary extravagance. We got euphoria disguised as a hand tossed crust with pure stardust sprinkled on—under the guise of cheese. It is an experience, much like watching the Big Bang and the formation of the universe and everything that ever came before the invention of pizza unfold in front of you in mere seconds. And then handed to you on a very unassuming white plate to venture back out into the cosmos to bless your tastebuds and stomach with as you sit with friends or family or maybe just a dog and pigeon. It is more than pizza, it is a beautiful simplicity shaped as a triangle on a small white plate. Hot. Ready for consumption.

Still on the hunt for the best pizza in SW Florida. This might be it, at least considerably better than what I've had. First off, the menu consists of almost every pizza you could think of, and they are BIG. We ordered a half Italian and half plain cheese. I didn't realize the Italian didn't have sauce, so it was like a white pizza with meats. Very nice and crunchy. The plain cheese reminded me alot of NJ pizza. Fresh ingredients, came out piping hot. It's a typical pizza place and it was raining so tables were not easy to grab, but we got one inside. We also ordered a meat lovers Stromboli which was enormous and excellent! Made to order. Alot of leftovers which we took home. I'll be back!

Mind you we just came from another pizza place that was average don’t want to say name but we stopped in here just to taste ! Good job guys I’m in love 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕❤️❤️

Some of the best pizza in the Fort Myers area. Very consistent NY style crispy tasty thin crust. They serve slices which not every Florida pizza place does which I can't even understand. That is how pizza should be served it is a fast food after all. You stop in grab a slice or 2 and you are on your way. They even have vegan pizza with vegan cheese! So if you are looking for that they have it my wife really enjoyed it. We were there for music walk and they have a line out the door because it's just that good. Whenever we go to music walk DHOP is my goto place or any other time I am in downtown Fort Myers.

My favorite pizza spot in Fort Myers. Only had a slice this time cause I just ate a few minutes earlier but we also came here a few years a go. Still really good! Go get some!

Definitely the top 5 pizza places in the surrounding area. You can never go wrong with DHOP at any time of the day/night. Their reviews speak for itself. Ordered the jumbo pizza half cheese half pepperoni. Perfect crisp on the bottom. They’ve truly mastered the art of pizza making.

The pizza is authentic and amazing. They are my GO TO anytime I find myself downtown or in the vicinity of downtown. Had the NY cheesecake for the first time (shame on me) and it was heavenly. Super soft and fresh. Super rich in flavor. Probably not the best for my waistline, but it’s worthwhile.

The best thin crust pizza in town! I've been here when it's busy, slow, lunch and late at night. The pizza is always delicious. A tasty well cooked crust and lots of cheese. Their salads are generous and fresh. You won't be disappointed:)

One of the best Pizza options in the area and as close as you can get to NY pizza in Florida. I wish they used a little more cheese that had some stretch to it but I would gladly eat here again. There is no parking and very limited seating so be prepared to drive in circles or wait for a table on a busy night. I recommend take out, they have one spot in front reserved for pick up.

Chipped in to have carry-out pizza 🍕, cash w/ my cousins. The pizza was slammin' we got the Meat Lovers 🥓, BBQ Pizza 🍖, and Hawaiian Pizza 🍍! All of these were enjoyable. The one that is my favorite was the Meat Lovers but granted I only ate slices from that pizza. I was pretty stuffed with just two 😅😁! The only issue was that one of the pizzas wasn't stuff crust, which I'm not sure if via online ordering my cousin could find that option 🤔. My cousins were right, D-HOP is the way to go, especially for local non-chain pizza 👍🏾✅

Amazing pizza! Huge slices with thin, crunchy crust, lots of flavor. They have an excellent system to get people through the line. They have fountain drinks but you can also get canned drinks, Pepsi products. We went right into the courtyard where they have picnic tables and benches to eat.

Just had lunch here before we head to the airport to go home. OMG. I wish we had come here sooner, so we could have eaten there more than once! My son said it was the best pizza he's ever had in his ENTIRE LIFE. And we have a really good local pizza place at home that is typically our #1. That's a bold statement, people. I have to agree that it's definitely that good! I don't know if it's the pizza dough or the red sauce or what magic they do - it was just delicious and so flavorful, and I loved the crust. My son got a slice of the meat lovers and one of the supreme, but they had other choices as well. They offer several salads, but we were there for the pie. I had one slice of the pepperoni as these are BIG slices. I like that they have extra spices at the tables - cheese, pepper flakes, maybe Italian blend or dried Oregano, garlic powder (or salt?), hot sauce, etc. We "doctored" up our slices with all the extras. My son also got some Ranch on the side - we weren't sure if it was homemade. We sat at the window seats as the place was very busy - still had our order pretty quickly. For three slices of pizza, two bottled waters and a chocolate-covered cannoli, it was only about $21!!! I didn't get to try the cannoli as my son ate it too quickly, but he said it was probably the best cannoli he's ever had. So, if you are wondering if you should try this pizza - stop wondering and get over there for some of the best (if not THE best) pizza you'll ever have. Mangia! EDIT: In reply to the owner's response - people, I was already thinking of moving to Fort Myers, but this may make that decision a FOR SURE. :) DHoP on a regular basis? Yes, please.

We got pepperoni slices which had a nice flavor but were a bit too crisp. It wasn't busy and we got our slices quickly. Sitting outside to eat was nice.

The pizza.... what can I say! Besides buying your pizza in New York, this is THE place to get it, even if you have to drive far (we are from Miami) It is delicious, no matter the topping you get. I always get my fave Pepperoni pizza here when we are in town! And if we are not we go out of our way to drive here and enjoy a slice or 8 ;)

Great quality pizza! We ordered a large Florentine and a jumbo pepperoni. The Florentine had fresh garlic, spinach, creamy ricotta cheese, and mozzarella. It was piping hot and delicious. The pepperoni was awesome as well. Very cool atmosphere, city feel, beautiful surroundings. Customer service was great. Energetic and fun place. We will be back!

The best pizza I've ever eaten, hands down. Great beer selection. Service is amazingly quick, despite being slammed almost every time I go. Prices are good and there's plenty of outdoor seating. What's not to love? Added 2/11/2021: since I wrote my review on dhop, another incident has been added to my list of reasons to love this place: I lost my wallet when in downtown Fort Myers and had a feeling I accidentally left it behind dhop in the dining area / courtyard. Before I could even call them the next day, I had a request on Facebook to receive a message from a non-friend. It was a manager at dhop, messaging me to inform me that he had found my wallet and would hold it for me. I arrived within the hour and everything in my wallet was just as I left it. Not only do we need more pizza like dhops, we need more people like the manager who helped me so much. I wish I remembered his name off-hand, but he knows how much I appreciate it.

So I ordered here for the first time on New Years Eve Day! I went to use the restroom and left my phone behind, 20 mins later a customer returns my phone to the staff and they were so kind to hold it for me and no one wanted to take credit and the receptionist responded “That they all worked as a team!” On such a busy night with event going all night in downtown they have great attitudes and awesome work ethic! It’s a big restaurant with such a welcoming feeling! I ordered the supreme pizza which was amazing great amount of toppings I was blown away!!! I will definitely come back and try dining in next time! I highly recommend this place!!

I love good Pizza, especially being from Brooklyn. I live in the Cape and there are some pretty good pizza places but nothing compares to DHOP- Downtown House of Pizza. Pizzas on point. Makes me feel like I’m back in NY. If you haven’t tried it, I suggest you make it your business to visit DHOP and have yourself a slice of pizza or grab yourself a whole pie. You won’t be disappointed and tell them TheGodFather sent you. 🍕🍕😎

DHOP has quickly become my go-to when looking for a delicious and inexpensive bite, but it isn't just cheap: it's charming. This is a great, lively, date spot. Fantastic pizza by the slice [from the case] and great fresh made pies to take home. Their [standard] vegan dough is a sleeper hit that satisfies more than one may first assume. The people behind the counter are no-nonsense but also kind and welcoming. Lots of space to sit inside and a good deal of outdoor seating. Local beer selection. Thanks for being a reliable spot, DHOP, you're the best.

CanI even say anything that has not been already said a million times? THE IS THE BEST PIZZA IN FORT MYERS. The guys are throwing the dough in the front when you walk in. Choice of many options, real pizza with pizza ovens banging away. Cannoli heaven, cold beer... It is a MUST STOP in downtown Fort Myers. Order up and sit out back and enjoy the best Pizza in town.

If you're looking for authentic New York-style pizza in downtown Fort Myers, look no further than Downtown House of Pizza. My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining here and we were blown away by the deliciousness of their pizza. We started with a classic cheese pizza for the kids, which was perfectly cheesy and crispy. For my wife and I, we went with the Supreme pizza, which was loaded with toppings and bursting with flavor. The crust was thin and crispy, just like a true New York-style pizza should be. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff and a great selection of beers on tap. We were impressed with the cleanliness and attention to detail in both the kitchen and the dining area. Overall, we highly recommend Downtown House of Pizza for anyone looking for delicious, authentic New York-style pizza in downtown Fort Myers. It's a great spot for families, couples, or anyone looking to grab a quick bite to eat. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in the heart of downtown

This place came recommended by some locals at work. They were right. Delicious slices. Right up there with Amici in Tampa. And still tolerable prices as a bonus. The staff were very attentive and courteous, especially for a bunch of young dudes. I will be back for sure.

The people at this pizza shop were nice and efficient. The place was clean and had a good vibe. That though is the end of what was good, the pizza was beyond floppy (see photo below) and it brought me back to Chuck E. Cheese. It’s a shame as a slice house that this is the best in the area. Disappointed but you live and learn, get better quality ingredients and actually make a New York slice.

It's a fast paved self serve kinda place with many, many people in and out. Condiments and cutlery mostly self serve and not attended too enough. Pizza truly NY style with the freshest crust ever and generous toppings and choices. Wings were small but crispy. They have an XXLg pizza that's simply enormous. They have tied with Uncle Rico's down the rd a bit for me for best pizza in area and we are from Buffalo, NY.

I would normally rave about DHP. However last night I ordered a 16" Square Pizza - white & garlic and 1/2 sausage. Do not order this pie. It wasn't the best work by DHP. Dry and way too much garlic. Try anything else, you shouldn't be disappointed.

I was there today, trying enjoy a slice of my favorite pizza as a regular customer there, but everything was ruined when a girl who work there throw my food on the table. When I tried to ask her about her actitude, she walks away ignoring my request, then I tried to talk with the manager, and he said "Am sorry, but this is the first time we have issues like this here"... WOW! Well my friend, the same for me here, and really is so uncomfortable and disappointing deal with things like this, but if you don't want to hear "Karen's complain", please! be part of the solution and not of the problem. This used to be my go to pizza place. Im a native New Yorker so i know pizza. Over the years the pizza has gotten so thin you cant even pick it up. Not satisfying. The place smelled fantastic. It was a little chaotic when I visited during lunch. You make your order and pay and then watch for when a slice that resembles your order comes out? It was so busy people were just grabbing random slices. People who came in after me grabbed my order twice - but there is no way to know whose order is up because they don't take your name. You could just hang out there for a few min and grab any random slice without paying, no one would know. Overall disappointed.

I've been going to DHOP for like 8 years now. You know how a lot of places used to be great but then they started using cheaper ingredients or smaller serving sizes (looking at you Ichiban)? Well DHOP is not one of those places. Their pizza is still numero uno around here. I just got a Tomato Basil the other night. It's freaking outrageous how good is. I would put their pepperoni pizza against any in the State forget Fort Myers. And reheated in your oven the next day it might even be better. They haven't jacked their prices way up like they could. For the ingredients and quality you get it's a fantastic deal. Bonus is that the owner treats his employees well. Like human beings. I've never heard any of them ever complain about him but I have heard them praise him and how he treats them. And I heard a lot, I used to live right above it. Anyway. Go buy a pizza.

Downtown House of Pizza is a gem! It’s nestled in a rustic building that pays homage to the history of the area. The pizza slices are a good size and very tasty! They have a thinner NY style pizza that you really can’t get anywhere else in the area. Highly recommend!

This place is EVERYTHING. I’ve been here a few times and have never been left disappointed. The pizza is amazing, the salads are great, and the desserts are amazing, ESPECIALLY the cannolis. It can be a little loud and crowded at times nights, but then again why would you go to a place like this and expect it to not be busy? If you ever come to Fort Myers or even live in Fort Myers and want to grab pizza, this is the place.

This is the BEST NY-Style pizza I've tasted in Southwest Florida since Rodino's in Cape Coral closed down a few years ago. They've mastered the crust, and the flavor, and everything, all with an awesome ambiance & courteous staff.

An edit to the owner, for the response despite the fact that I only left a rating with no actual review: No, thank you. I've already recommended this joint to friends and family. Such good food and service. Keep up the fantastic pie making and you've got yourself a lifelong customer.

They have good customer service but they don't clean at least while open and I got sick last time I went there which was two days ago the food is delicious but 5 dollars for a slice of pizza is way too much also there isn't much seating and gets packed and during the times of COVID that is risky.

Best pizza in all of Lee County hands down. Their white pizza is simple & delicious. 😋

I want to update my review, this is most likely the best PIZZA in all of FL or SW at lease, the people working are great they get orders right the first time. very clean, good atmosphere. it's really a place to come and enjoy and have fun with friends and family. This about the best place that can make a pizza with NO cheese and not mess up the order really. I will take a pic and you will see what I mean 😏.

Very Disappointed about our experience at Downtown House of Pizza. We called ahead for a pick up order . We ordered a jumbo cheese pizza for our family dinner tonight. The pizza was over cooked and burnt. It wasn’t even edible to eat. This isn’t how we used to get our pizza . It was our favorite place to go with our large family.

First visit here after being suggested many times to come. Nice atmosphere. I saw lots of great photos of nice floppy slices. People keep saying its NY Pizza so great. I came in and had a hard, crispy slice. Pizza was very dry. Not even a drop of grease on the plate. Bought 2 and only ate one. We had pizza from 2 different pies and both were the same. Sad experience after being so highly recommended.

If my husband and I could give a 10 star to DHOP, we would!!!! They always go above and beyond and they have the best pizza ever! We just came in today and they were super friendly and even brought the pizza out to our truck across the street without even asking. Love them so much! They are always busy so be prepared to wait especially on the weekends but it is worth the wait! 10 stars!!!! Amazing guys and women in there!!!

Delicious vegan pizza!!! Yum! Great flavor/texture/heat = 5 stars. Pros: great location, decent service. Cons - if you ask for light vegan cheeze the price should reduce. There is street parking and there are unisex bathrooms (but the bathrooms were dirty). Hence 4 stars.

I love how they have plant based gluten free options. I made my own pineapple basil garlic on a gluten free cauliflower crust. One of my favorite go to for consistency of pizzas 🍕 🙌 👏

Always good pizza. UPDATE: Stick to the pizza. Reduced the rating because of the subs. The subs are just okay. Not much meat. No option for oil and vinegar (weird for a NY establishment). On the small side for $10. Nothing special.

Fast and courteous service. The pizza itself was flavorful and a mouthful for one slice. Slice prices vary depending on ingredients. I wouldn't say it was "delicious" but it is enough to give it a 5 star review and it keeps me coming back.

Former New Yorkers. (Sorry my new Floridian friends lol) Just thankful to have a pretty darn good slice of ny style pizza. Best I’ve found this far.

About as good as it gets in Florida. Always busy so plan ahead. Oh and the parking downtown is awful if you're not familiar. There's also an ATM across the street near the old theater building if needed. I've been here more times than I can count. All the pizza is great and cannoli are good too. You won't find much better in that area for a better price. One thing I will say, if you get the works or order a lot of toppings, ask them to cook it a little longer than normal. Every other pie I've ever gotten has been thin and crunchy. Love the sliced meatballs pie. The slices are always the best because they're cooked twice. Especially the Sicilian it's not as crispy as the NY slices but it's so so so buttery and garlicky goodness and still has enough crunch for me. Definitely my go to when I want real pizza.

This was our first time visiting DHOP. During high season, there is a line around the corner. So, we figured we'd try it in low season -- with no line. The slices of pizza were very good and the beer was very cold. We'll definitely visit there again on one of our trips downtown.

First time there. The service was great. I am from Pennsylvania and I truly wish I had them near me. Thank you for accommodating me when I added spinach to my pizza without complaining that it was too late. You guys are awesome! The pizza was delicious!

Delicious pizza! They excitedly offer vegan pizza but it wasn't made when we went. I did order a slice of a margherita and had a small greek salad. Will def be back, especially for the price of the food!

My Favorite Pizza Place of all time!! I love Downtown pizza, they have the best pizza I have ever had. The service is always awesome and friendly and they are quick to get your order and it is always busy, so you know they have good food. Great prices too!! The atmosphere is amazing when you go outback to the courtyard, so beautiful and spacious. I love this place. I recommend to everyone who comes to Ft. Myers to go here!!!
