They literally called and told us not to come because we don’t “spend enough money”, even though we always tip extra and order what we can (we have allergies and almost everything includes egg & dairy) and not to mention going to their incredibly overpriced store next door so our kids can pick out a $40 6” doll. If they want to do a purchase minimum, that’s fine & should be listed on the website. But to tell us personally not to come because we don’t order enough food, really? So rude. Also, we only come TWICE a year to celebrate our daughters birthdays, they love having “real” tea parties. So it’s not like this is a regular thing. Needless to say, we will be trying the other tea room in town! Also, on the phone they said “we don’t care about the extra tip”, so it’s not even about their employees.

Bobbie and her team are just the best. They are so accommodating and make you feel like family. Our favorite place to go for girlfriend's lunch hands down. You will not be disappointed with their amazing variety of teas.

I was called & uninvited because the owner assumed we wouldn’t spend very much. She condescendingly asked if we were only going to purchase scones & tea. I was so caught off guard that I hung up. I called back to calmly explain why I felt so uncomfortable with that phone call and was constantly interrupted then hung up on. My friends & I take our daughters for their birthdays, leave a larger tip if we don’t order a lot. (The owner said that doesn’t help her bottom line - wow she really cares about her employees), purchase tea cups up front and birthday presents from the Shop Around the Corner. We have 2 summer birthdays, so you’d think she’d appreciate our business since we come when it’s not snow bird season. She could *expand her menu *expand her hours *work on her marketing *have purchase minimums on her booking page *not cancel my appointment and say “going forward, we need a purchase minimum” I received an “apology” email saying my business just is not enough to help pay her bills It’s amazing that they sing “God bless you” at the end of their birthday song - this is not a Godly woman.

The price is extremely reasonable for afternoon tea. And they offer a la carte options that are more budget friendly. Always a lovely experience and delicious food which is surprisingly filling. Reservations are for an hour and a half I think so we did not feel rushed at all. Perfect for a special occasion, brunch, date, or weekend activity.

Discriminatory against people who spend a certain amount! Classist to say the least. Anti customer and very rude. 1 star.

I recently visited Wisteria Tea Room & Cafe for a baby shower and had just the best time. The tea room is housed in a beautiful old bungalow, and the interior is decorated with flowers and teacups. The service is excellent, and the staff is very knowledgeable about the different teas on the menu.We ordered a variety of teas, sandwiches, and pastries, and everything was so delicious. The finger sandwiches were especially good, and the pastries were light and flaky. We also enjoyed the scones, which were served warm with clotted cream and jam. I would definitely recommend this tea room to anyone looking for a special place to enjoy some tea or have an event!

I recently visited Wisteria Tea Room with three girlfriends for a delightful afternoon tea experience. Overall, the food was delicious, the soup was grand, and the ambiance was absolutely wonderful. We had a lovely time together. However, there was one aspect of our visit that left me with mixed feelings. Firstly, I want to mention that the prices at Wisteria Tea Room are on the higher side. However, this was not a surprise to me as I had been here before. The food itself was exceptional. The finger sandwiches, soup, tea, and pastries were all beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the culinary delights that were offered. We ordered a pastry tree, which was beautifully presented, in addition to our experience because one of the girls recently celebrated a birthday. The ambiance of Wisteria Tea Room is truly enchanting. The atmosphere was cute, serene and elegant, creating a perfect setting for an afternoon tea gathering. It added a touch of sophistication to our overall experience. However, I was disappointed with how our visit ended. The hostess informed us that we had to leave because they needed to free up the table for the next reservation. It was surprising and abrupt, considering we were simply having a conversation over lunch and tea. While I understand the importance of managing reservations, I believe that for the price we paid, we deserved a more accommodating experience. It left a sour taste in my mouth and disrupted what would have otherwise been a perfect outing. In terms of value, our bill came to $248 for four women, which translates to $62 per person. It is a significant amount, and with that price, I expected a more leisurely and relaxed atmosphere where we could enjoy our time without feeling rushed. To summarize, Wisteria Tea Room offers a delightful experience with its delicious food and wonderful ambiance. However, the abruptness with which we were asked to leave, despite the high price we paid, was disappointing. I hope the management takes note of this issue and works towards providing a more welcoming and unhurried experience for their patrons in the future.

Absolutely love this place. We had such a nice Mother’s Day tea. We try to go every year but missed last year. I need to get here for a lunch date. The ambiance, the decor and the whole idea is so lovely. I would highly recommend anyone visit and enjoy the great food and tea. It was such a nice experience. It never disappoints. We always have so much fun. Eating yummy food, drinking the delicious tea and today we had lavender lemonade and it was to die for and just enjoying one another’s company. Can’t say enough go, visit and enjoy. They also have a nice little shop next door that sells nick nacks and fun stuff. Definitely go check it out.

This place was well worth the 30 min drive. I took my friend for her birthday. We had the best time. Food and dessert was delicious and plentiful. Treat yourself to The Royal selection! Such a good variety of teas. Loved the service. Everyone was kind and attentive. Lastly, we enjoyed the goodies in the gift shop, two of which we are sporting. Lots of trips to this gem in our near future.

What a magical little spot! I attend afternoon tea with my mother and sister in law, and we had the best time. The menu was a bit overwhelming at first so it took a few explanations from our sweet waitress, lol. Ultimately, we tried 4-5 different teas and ate a delicious lunch! I had the Mac and Cheese…I scraped the bowl clean!

We stopped in for tea yesterday and had a great time! I called in for reservations but was unable to speak with anyone. However, when we arrived staff ensured that we were seated. I appreciate them taking the time to make it happen for us. Our waitress was excellent and I wish I had not forgotten her name. We had the royal tea and everything was very good. My favorite was the avocado toast and quiche 😋 overall a great experience. The place is cozy, beautiful China and cute shop area. A great experience.

Came as a group. For herbal teas I recommend Sweet Sin and Berry Bliss. I really appreciate when the herbal teas have been cooked just right and not burnt (where they leave a bitter aftertaste). The food was very good as well.

This is a lovely experience. The interior makes you feel like a victorian countess and the cups are darling. The tea is served in bottomless pots, feel free to change your flavor. The food is delicate and delicious.

On July 17, 2021. We had a very small, intimate wedding with just our family and then followed up with a private reception at the Wisteria Tea Room. The owner, Bobbie, was wonderful to work with. We went ahead and covered their minimum so we could have the place to ourselves. We did a full Royal Tea and a wedding cake that was made in house by their pastry chef (exactly as I requested). We loved everything! The food and service was wonderful!!! Even though we were a small group they treated us amazing!! They even boxed up the extra food we paid for so we could send it home with everyone. The wedding cake was the best wedding cake I’ve ever had!!! The inside was Neapolitan but the outside was a creamy white frosting to keep the look of a wedding cake. The frosting is amazing! I’m not a fondant fan and they were able to make the cake look exactly like I requested without any fondant!!! We were all full after eating the delicious food that came with our tea so they graciously packed individual slices of wedding cake for our guests and packed up the rest for us. The tea was also great! Of course we had the Royal Wedding Tea, which was wonderful but I think the snow tea was my favorite (snow tea has a hint of coconut flavor and I love that as did our guests—if you don’t like coconut you may want to pass on snow tea) Everyone at Wisteria Tea are so pleasant and wonderful to work with. We had such a wonderful experience I would recommend Wisteria Tea Room for any private event or even just to come in for a tea service or lunch on a regular day!

We LOVE Wisteria! We try to go every Mother’s Day. My most recent trip was to take my daughter and niece for a special ladies tea. They were beyond excited to walk inside and see the beautiful tea sets on the tables. Each seat has a different cup and saucer. The food was delicious. I was a little surprised when I saw they charge $15 for a kid’s afternoon tea. They get a little peanut butter sandwich, two little cheese sandwiches, a scone, and a tiny cup of soup (not a small bowl “cup” but a literal tiny cup). It’s a decent amount of food, but not $15 worth in my opinion. I also think $25 is a little steep for the adult tea. You can’t share. It’s all individually charged, which I understand but I can’t drink a pot of tea all by myself. So I paid $25 for a pot of tea that I shared with my daughters (after paying for them to be able to share and then each having one small cup) and a tiered tray of tiny finger foods. The girls felt big having their tray and own tea cups so it was worth it to see their faces light up. I also understand you are paying for atmosphere. When we go for Mother’s Day we usually drink multiple pots of tea so we get our money’s worth but I realized it’s too pricey for me for just a casual lunch where I have a couple cups of tea and some finger foods. The staff was friendly and our waitress Lisa was fantastic. Obviously those are just my opinions on the pricing and others may disagree. I just want people to know what to expect for the $. We always have a great time when we go and will definitely be back for Mother’s Day.

Excellent food and the tea varieties are the best you’ll find. From what I can tell it’s reservation only for time slots, but if you have a good group of 4 or so you won’t have much issue, just plan your reservation a few days in advance to make sure you get a spot.

Our team reserved a portion of time to celebrate a coworker's baby shower! The staff at Wisteria tea room were so kind and patient and accommodating. Our team had to be told multiple times to stop cleaning up because they promised to take care of everything. They helped walk us out, they accommodated additional seating that needed to be added on. And so much more! Thank you for everyone Wisteria Tea Room Staff you made this baby shower so memorable

Wisteria is a charming place for a special occasion. High tea is a must. You get a bottomless pot of tea in which you can try as many teas as you like. Also, you will enjoy an assortment of treats such as scones, tea sandwiches, creme brulee, quiche, tarts, and more. The service is outstanding. I always love visiting this special place.

Great little place to have a nice lunch. It's a smaller place that can be a bit busy so you might want to make a reservation. So many different tea varieties and delicous food made fresh once ordered. The staff was also very friendly.

  • 5/5 Jason Z. 2 years ago on Google
Wisteria is always busy, so you should make a reservation. The staff is always friendly, and the tea room/Café is decorated to match the season. A small shop near the hostess/host station provides primarily tea-related gifts and merchandise. Their teas, categorized into 6 collections: Seasonal (Spring, currently), Black Tea, Green/White Tea, Herbal, Spa & Wellness, and Rooibos, are also available on their website. Scones (a different flavor each month) are available for carry-out as a frozen 8-count wheel to bake at home. Afternoon tea, with tier-served treats, are the best way to fully experience everything the Wisteria has to offer. In addition to those delectable offerings, the Wisteria offers seasonal soups, a wide variety of salads, and a selection of premium sandwiches. They do have a pricing system that is slightly unusual, but sensical, easily explained on their website, by the host or hostess, or tableside by your server. I lovely place for a great time with friends or loved ones (and a perfect place for a "fancy" parent-child outing)

Can't say enough about this. If you think you're too manly to give this a try, you're really missing out. This is a definite destination for my wife and I. A place where we can relax and really enjoy each other's company. We introduced new friends the other day and they had a BLAST. Even if you don't care for tea, I really encourage you to try one of the many different flavors. I'm sure you will be surprised and find one that you will enjoy. Pinkies up to the owners for their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to make your experience one to remember.

This is such a lovely, quaint delicate little tea shop. Actually it’s a shop and then the dining areas which are set up so elegantly. It is a little pricey, but it’s worth it.

  • 3/5 Leslie R. 5 months ago on Google
I believe there is room for improvement with service. Since you are limited to table time, the waitress should be a little more thoughtful about items requested from guest. Our meals came out in 3 different runs so we didn’t get it all at the same time! Requested salt and pepper - 3 times and the endless tea can have you waiting endless time, waiting for a new flavor request! It’s expected the place is busy with multiple reservations however every customer should be given high priority at a place like this. Especially since you know we are coming!!! Guest come for the experience and I believe there’s room for some training so that servers can properly serve guest in a reasonable time. Maybe more servers and less reservation so that guest can walk out feeling better and not annoyed on their birthday! Just my reality of my experience at the tea room. Customer service should always be 5/5 no matter what you’re selling or serving!

The tea room has an inviting and elegant ambiance, creating a perfect atmosphere for a leisurely and sophisticated dining experience. The diverse choices, from delicate sandwiches to scrumptious pastries, added a delightful dimension to the tea time experience. Wisteria Tea Room & Café seems to cater to those seeking a refined and tranquil space to enjoy a relaxing tea experience.

Lovely tea room with friendly staff, but think twice about going here if you are adhering to CDC safety guidelines for Covid-19. Staff not wearing masks, nor many of the patrons entering and exiting the restaurant. Food and tea service get high marks; safety consciousness rates very low.

I went in a little wary of the food because novelty places like a cute tea shop in an old house usually tend to ride on the ambiance and experience rather than quality of food, but I was sorely mistaken. Everything I tried was excellent and clearly made in-house. The only downfall is the pricing, but it wasn't unexpected. I would definitely recommend for special occasions.

I had the sweet and spicy turkey panini with broccoli salad and a scone for lunch. All were perfectly satisfying and very delicious. I loved the raspberry jalapeño jam on the sandwich. For dessert I had the creme brulee - it was wonderful. I drank an entire pot of the pineapple coconut tea. I highly recommend everything. The service was great and I look forward to my next visit. Be sure to make reservations. The Royal Tea is the way to go!
